  1. DISCLAIMERS: This is not a "follow to the T" guide, if you can make one perk work better over ones listed here, go for it. Equilibrium is a noob trap, ignore it, delete it, do not use it Anything in red will be the perks that are currently not used, but will be. Anything in purple has the potential to beat red but I don't know because the perk doesn't exist Anything in yellow are the perks you will remove to make space for the perks in red Anything in blue are perks involved in a theory of "theoretical bis" and is advised avoiding until more data is found The "Invigorating 4 / Enerigisng 4" combo, only Energising works, Invigorating doesn't, but it's a future proof incase it works in the future What is Ancient Invention? Additional Notes: X Slayer refers to each of the Slayer perks (Undead, Demon and Dragon) depending on your main content, you'd use the corresponding Slayer, here is the list mentioned: Dragon Slayer = 1x Dragonfire 2x Undead Example 2x Bandos Example Demon Slayer = 1x Third-Age 2x Undead Example 2x Bandos Example OR 2x Dextrous 2x Undead Example 2x Bandos Example Undead Slayer = 1x Undead Components 2x Undead Example 2x Bandos Example All Custom Perks: Brief Respite: Heal 4% of max life points 10 times over a period of 40 seconds when below 10% of maximum hitpoints increased by 10% per rank. 2. Kick back, relax and get ready to skill! It's almost time for yet another skilling event - and the first hosted by me and dynasty together as a collaboration project! Any feedback after the event would be highly appreciated. This time, we've shown some love to the Ironmen as well as regular users, adding Rune Essence as well as Soul, Nature and Blood Altars for you to use to your heart's content. In order to access the event, use the notice-board at home or at ;;dz from the 3rd of May to teleport directly to the starting area. What we've included for you this time: Woodcutting Trees Hunting Animals Fishing Spots Mining Ores Smithing Anvil and Furnace All Portables Harps & Singing Bowl Seren Stones Archaeology Caches as well as War Table and Sanctum Debris GIM Banks Divine Locations (minus ores, trees and fish) Supply Table Chaos Altar Invention Tables Skilling Supply Stores Priff Crystal Chest Summoning Rune Essence Soul Altar, Nature Altar and Blood Altar Permanent spawns have been written, so in the case of a server restart, everything should resume as normal (aside from Portables, which will be added as and when they can be) Massive thank you to both @Dynasty and @Nhs for their support and help in making this possible.

  3. Hello there, newly joining Ironmen/Ironwomen! Hopefully this handbook will provide you some insight on what you will be aiming to do during your adventures here, on Velheim! This is some of my most in-depth work so far, so please enjoy. -------------------------------------- Sections (CTRL+F to navigate to them) S1 - (The Beginning) S2 - (The Mid-Game) S3 - (Late Game) S4 - (End Game) -------------------------------------- Things to know: 1. Game Perks in Velheim are EXTREMELY useful. This is a guide to the Game Perks available, although it is slighty outdated - feel free to check out the Game Perks ingame via the Tab to the left of the Inventory (as shown in the guide). This guide, credits to @Winter Revel, lists the recommended Perks to buy when playing the game - if you do decide to buy any perks. 2. Vote whenever possible. Vote Books: They are amazing, they can be used to claim an SOF Spin, Bonus EXP, Velheim Coins, or Loyalty Points - for Ironmen, it is recommended to either; save these for SOF promos, or Loyalty Points to rush Curses, Ancient Magicks, and Lunar Spells. Although it is also fine to use the Bonus EXP on skills that take longer to max out. Construction, Prayer and Archaeology (artefact restoration) are some good examples. Vote Points: As for vote points, save them up. I would HIGHLY recommend buying the Asylum Rings in order. The final ring can be imbued at the Liberation of Mazcab for 10k Teci and has amazing stats, and a GREAT spec saving passive. 3. Do not rush yourself to do content. You will easily burn yourself out if you try to do everything at once, take it slow and enjoy the time you are spending playing. User: @Died also has an Ironman Guide written in plain text. You can find that here! His guide covers plenty of shop runs, recommended perks, and some useful skilling tips for Irons. Give his topic a like if you have the chance! ----------------------------------------------------------------- S1: The Beginning ----------------------------------------------------------------- Starting off as an Ironman it is highly suggested to link your account to both Discord and the Forums. You can do this typing ;;discord, and ;;forums in-game respectively, to receive a total of 10m. With your starter cash from linking your Discord and Forums accounts, you should probably consider buy some of the items from Lucy's Untradeables Store at home. Recommended items to buy from Lucy with your initial 10m: Pathfinder Armour (T1 with custom offensive stats) is great for starter leveling. *Pathfinder armour has now been moved to Gudrik in Port Sarim. You can also buy Imcando weapons for 5m each, these scale with your offensive levels but are not required - if anything, only the Pistols are worth buying. If you do decide to buy the Axes, only buy the off-hand variant and buy a Tzhaar Whip from Diango at home, this whip scales up to Lv60 and is exponentially cheaper. Loyalty Points - save these up, you'll need these to buy the Curses Prayer Book, and non-standard spell books. If you have already linked your account via Discord, and the Forums - you should be getting as many points as possible - as long as you have voted in the past 24 hours. Quest Items Many quest items-reward type items can be obtained from their original locations, requiring a specific total level to buy, with a gold cost. *I will update this when changes are made or new quest items are added* Some of these items also require the quest requirements to equip (Helm of Neitiznot, Lunar Armour). Silverlight and Darklight can now be obtained by talking to Gideon Bede (Varrock East Church). Ava's backpacks can be purchased from Ava in Draynor Manor. The Bearhead can be purchased from Hamal the Chieftain (Mountain Camp). Ring of Visibility can be purchased from Rasolo (West of the Fishing Guild). You can obtain Ghostly equipment pieces by talking to ghosts around the map like in the Zaros Miniquest. You can purchase a Holy Wrench from Davey (Braindeath Island). The ghostspeak amulet can be bought from Father Urhney (South-west Lumbridge Swamp). Enhanced excalibur can be bought from the Lady of the Lake (South-EastTaverly). The Ectophial can be purchased from Velorina (North-east Port Phasmatys). Khazard armour & helmet can now be obtained from the Suit of armour North of the Fight Arena. You can purchase the Wolfbane, Ivandis flail, Sunspear (normal), and Sunspear (reforged) from Ivan Strom (replacing Drezel under the Paterdomus). Lunar equipment can be purchased from Oneironmancer (Lunar Isle). You can purchase an Ancient Staff from Eblis (Bandit camp Lodestone). Drakan's Medallion can be obtained from the cave in southern Burgh de Rott. The House Drakan Outfit can be found in Vanstorm's mantion in Darkmeyer. Future Planning (Quick Prestige Info) *This section has been updated following the release of Nex: Angel of Death. Prestiging is a very simple process, once you have 99 in ALL skills - go to the Prestige Master at Home (;;home/CTRL+H) and prestige. This process will reset all of your skills to 1, and you will start over leveling again. But now, using the points obtained - you can buy yourselves some goodies from the Prestige Shop! For more information regarding Prestiging, please check out this guide, credits to @Arcadiez. Recommended Daily Activities It is not recommended to spend all of your starter GP, as you will want to do Daily Shop Runs which can net you Runes, Feathers, Vials, and other items useful for Ironmen. You can follow this guide, credits to @Yipe for the essentials. Yipe's guide notes which daily shops you should run, activities that you can do daily, and also includes notes on Proteans, and the Oddments Store. Training & Combat Starting off training, it is recommended to train at Lumbridge (accessible via CTRL+T > Monsters > Lumbridge) until roughly 25-30 in your general combat stats. With these stats, get a task from Turael at CTRL+S (or ;;slayer) and do your tasks. Each slayer master has their own Combat & Slayer requirement. You can find the Requirements for Slayer Masters here! As a general note, if you disregard efficiency - all styles are equal in usage when doing low and mid level slayer. It is only at higher levels will you need to care about which weapons you use. Before doing Slayer however I would recommend getting a few Prayer levels! You could do this via The Nexus in Lumbridge Swamp, or you could do it the traditional way, burying/using bones on altars. Nexus guide located here! You can start off with Big Bones from Hill/Moss Giants, or go straight to Dragon Bones from Dragons! If you want an Anti-Dragon Shield, you can get one from Duke Horacio in Lumbridge Castle. --- When it comes to Gear Progression you can follow this guide here. This Gear Progression guide is still valid for Ironmen accounts. (Although it does not include the "middle" tier armours such as Orichalkum, Necrite etc) Skilling The best non-combat skills to start training, are Mining, Smithing, Fishing & Cooking. These skills will give you the essentials for a newly-starting Ironman. Mining & Smithing, following the rework are extremely easy and relaxed to do, with a guide found here! Though as an Ironman, I wouldn't suggest doing the "Exp Rush" methods. Instead, make either Dual Single Handed Weapons OR a 2H Sword, and a Full Armour Set of any metal (ie; Bronze, Iron etc..). This will allow you to have multiple "tiers" of gear ready for when you level up, and need to move on to the next equipment tier. Once you have the Weapon/s and the Full Armour Set made, you can smith anything else for EXP. Platebodies being the quickest to provide EXP (but keep these for later, you'll need them for Invention!). Fishing & Cooking are going to be pretty integral to your "journey". Having food is always nice anyways. A Fishing Guide can be found here, and a Cooking Guide can be found here! It's recommended to save all of the Fish that you cook from roughly levels 40 onwards, as they have their uses. Divination is an extremely easy skill to train, albeit slow at higher levels. With Divination you can make Divine Locations, and Porters which will help make other Gathering Skills easier. When worn Porters will transport gathered items DIRECTLY to your bank. Divine Locations on the other hand, are almost like "portable" but depletable resource locations. A timed activity you can do for Divination, are Guthixian Caches, they appear EVERY HOUR. While I will not write out a guide on how to complete them, you can watch this video for all you need to know! Something that is worth getting started on, early on in the game is Farming & Herblore. To get an abundance of Seeds it is recommended to pickpocket Master Farmers, which requires 38 Thieving. Following the basics of the above skills, it's recommended to train your other skills too. When it comes to training Agility, there are two main methods that are extremely easy to follow. 1. The first method is to do Agility Courses, this is extremely straightforward. 2. You can get Silverhawk Boots for free from Diango, or the Oddments Store. Then you can buy Silverhawk Feathers from the Oddments Store (Right Click Money Pouch > Currency Pouch > Click on Oddments ) You earn Oddments whenever you perform a Spin on the SOF, more can be earned by forfeiting the reward you get. Archaeology, is a skill that you will either love or hate. Simple as that. I've found, that in my time playing there is no 'inbetween'. To summarize Archaeology, you will excavate specific locations for 'Archaeology Materials' and 'Artefacts'. The Archaeology Materials are used to 'Restore' the Artefacts. You will then give these Artefacts to 'collectors'. Complete any specific 'collection' and you will get specific rewards. A list of Archaeology Collections can be found here, and an amazing 'generalized' Archaeology Guide can be found here, credits to Sprout. The following titles can be clicked to navigate to the appropriate sections to find their skill guides. Support Skills Guides (Thieving, Dungeoneering, Agility, and Slayer) Gatherer Skills Guides (Archaeology, Hunter, Farming, Divination, Mining, Fishing, and Woodcutting) Artisan Skills Guides (Herblore, Runecrafting, Fletching, Firemaking, Smithing, Cooking, and Crafting) Combatant Skills Guides (Summoning, and Prayer(Nexus)) Credits to: @Kim, @Sun, @Fazo, and @Winter Revel - for their guides. Each of the guides listed in the above sections can be followed by Ironmen, with the only difference being that you will have to earn the items used in these skills. Clue Scrolls Clue Scrolls can be obtained whilst you do activities in Velheim. They are most commonly obtained whilst training: Mining, Fishing, Divination, and are also rarely dropped from monsters. Clue Scrolls come in 5 tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, and Master. Each tier of clue requires its own specific number of steps to complete. The number of steps are: Easy - 2, Medium - 2, Hard - 4, Elite - 4, Master - 6. With the Investigator Game Perk the steps required for these clues are HALVED. For a Clue Scroll Setup Efficiency Guide, please check out this guide, credits to @LRDVLDMRT. This guide also has links to the wiki pages for how to SOLVE Clue Scrolls! You will want to do your Clue Scrolls, especially your Easy ones. The UNIQUE rewards from these (such as; Black Crossbows, and Off-hand Black Crossbows) can be disassembled later on with Invention! More information regarding Invention is in Section 3. ----------------------------------------------------------------- S2: The Mid-Game ----------------------------------------------------------------- By the point that would be called the "Mid-Game" you would have roughly level 70s-80s in your Combat Stats (this can be excluding Prayer). If you have been doing Mining & Smithing (for Melee gear) you should also have at least a fully upgraded set of either Necronium Equipment or Banite Equipment which would be the Armour & Weapons. Dungeoneering With the start of The Mid-Game you will want to start training your Dungeoneering. You can start by taking your Ring of Kinship and you will teleport to Daemonheim (alternatively by CTRL+T > Misc > Daemonheim) *Note: As a HCIM, or an IM - you must SOLO dung. A GIM can do Dungeoneering with their group members. The recommended thing to do from here is to go from Floors 1 to Floor 30 on Complexity: 1 and Dungeon Size: Small. Once you have reached Floor 30 you will now start to do Complexity: 6 and Dungeon Size: Large, for this it is recommended to have the Dungeon Daemon Game Perk. Although, if you do not have the Dungeon Daemon Game Perk you can still progress through Dungeoneering normally as you would in RS for example. The wiki page for Dungeoneering includes a section for Gameplay which explains the basics of how you actually do it. While doing higher Complexity Dungeoneering floors you may encounter "Puzzles" the wiki has a page dedicated to these and how to complete them. As with most things in Velheim, you can follow the RS Wiki - as we are as accurate as we can be. Dungeoneering Rewards As for Rewards from the Dungeoneering Skill, there are a few that you will want to prioritize. The Bonecrusher and the Charming Imp are ESSENTIAL for Ironmen. The Bonecrusher immediately destroys bones dropped by enemies, giving burying EXP. The Charming Imp can be used to bank all charms dropped by enemies. Both of these remove A LOT of clutter from monster drops. The Advanced Gold Accumulator is also something you want to aim for. This costs a total of 1,770,000 Dungeoneering Tokens (equivalent to 17.7m EXP). This will automatically collect all Coins dropped by NPCs, especially useful for Slayer. The Advanced Gold Accumulator can be alternatively be obtained via the Game Perk: Coin Collector (which does not require Dungeoneering Tokens). I will also personally say that Chaotic Weaponry are 100% worth buying. The Chaotic Maul, Staff, and Crossbows are T80 weaponry and are AMAZING. Alternative Weaponry & Prayer Training One efficient, and cheap method of training Prayer is; killing Vyrelords, Vyreladies, or Vyrewatches when equipped with a Sunspear (T75 Melee, or T78 Tribrid). Both variations of the Sunspear can be bought from Ivan Strom, who can be found under the Paterdomus, in the entrance on the bridge, west of Canifis. When equipped with a type of Sunspear, you burn Vyre Corpses - gaining Firemaking & Prayer EXP. Both of these XP drops can be increased by wearing the Morytania Legs 4 - obtained from the Morytania Achievement Diary. It is highly recommended to use a Seedicide when killing them as well due to them dropping absolutely TONS of Morchella Mushroom Spores. It is also recommended to have a Legendary Pet while grinding these as they do drop some noteworthy items, such as noted Crystal Key halves. *Though Legendary Pets not being not entirely necessary if you're only killing the Vyres to train* *The Area Loot function in the Quest Tab is enough* To claim the T75 Melee Sunspear, you'll need 1500 Total Level and 5m. This is not augmentable. To claim the T78 Tribrid Sunspear, you'll need 2000 Total Level and 25m. This Sunspear IS augmentable too which is always great. Curses,Ancient Magicks & Lunars You may be wondering where you can get Curses, Ancients and Lunars. Well, you can get these from the Wise Old Man located in the Home Building for 50k, 37.5k, and 25k each respectively. What's useful in these unlocks? The Curses Prayer Book gives access to Soulsplit which heals the player by a % of their damage dealt. The T95 Stat Boosting Prayers, and T99 Stat Boosting Prayers (unlocked with a Praesul Codex). Ancient Magicks gives access to the Rush, Burst, Blitz, and Barrage Spells - great spells for Single Target or Multi-combat, with note that the Burst and Barrage Spells deal AOE (Area-of-Effect) damage. Many of the Lunar Spellbook's benefits are for non-combat activities, with spells such as Tune Bane Ore, used to make Banite Items which deal damage to specific classifications of enemies. Skilling When it comes to the other non-combat skills, you should also be roughly in the 70s/80s. This means that your main Food Source at this point should be Sharks, you should also (hopefully) have some Prayer Potions from Farming & Herblore, both of which are sufficient for doing any of the bosses which will be mentioned in the 'Bossing' subsection. It's around this point you will want to get going with the Masterwork Armour grind. In this thread, if you head a bit down into the Masterwork Section - you can see the hefty requirements. Masterwork Armour (as a set) requires that you spend a LOT of time Mining and Smithing, which is why you want to get it done early. Should an Iron ever have any issues with Crafting, I will make a small suggestion. Use the Common/Uncommon Gem Rocks to mine for lower level uncut gems, these rocks can be found in the Al Kharid Mine and are near a Bank Deposit Box. Around this point it is also recommended for you to create a Ring of Fortune by enchanting an Onyx Ring. To obtain an Onyx, you can find the methods of obtaining one here. A Ring of Fortune is a 'Tier 3' Luck Ring, which gives you the chance at getting a Luck of the Dwarves on the Rare Drop Table. From this point in the game, with Skilling, it is very linear and is recommended to just follow that guides that were previously listed at the end of Section 1. Bossing From here you can start doing some low-level Bosses, some notable Low-Level Bosses with decent rewards for Ironmen are: Barrows, Bork, King Black Dragon, Dagannoth Kings, Giant Mole, and the Chaos Elemental (PVP Area). These bosses can be accessed by CTRL+T > Bosses Tab. Of the above-listed, Barrows and Bork are the two easiest Bosses to kill for Ironmen. Barrows drops plenty of Blood Runes, Death Runes, and Chaos Runes. These runes are mainly used in Burst & Barrage Spells from the Ancients Spellbook, useful for "AOE" monster killing. Barrows can also drop Sharks, Prayer Potion (2)s, and the Amulet of the Forsaken (which is used later in Archaeology to make a great relic power (passive)). Not to mention the armour which can be used in general, Ahrims as Tank magic Armour, Karils as Tank ranged armour, and Guthans as Tank melee armour. Bork on the other hand is a very simple boss to kill, you can follow this guide to get to, and kill him. The rewards you will collect from Bork are Charms used in Summoning, and Uncut Gems used in Crafting. Other than the ones listed above, it is also recommended to start doing The Godwars Dungeon. Having the Greater Gods game perk will negate any requirement of Killcount to enter the Boss Chambers so it is highly recommended. Notable drops being: Bandos Armour from General Graardor, Armadyl Armour from Kree'arra, Robes of Subjugation from K'ril Tsutsaroth, and the Armadyl Crossbows from Commander Zilyana. Godwars Dungeon 2 (minus Telos) is also recommended, specifically Vindicta - at this level. A quick written guide for Godwars Dungeon 2 can be found here, credits to me (@Iron Tyrone). Just like Godwars Dungeon 1, if you have the Greater Gods game perk, you negate any requirement of Killcount to enter the Boss Chambers. The reason being that Vindicta drops plenty of Noted Dragon Bones, at an uncommon rate (bunches of 150-250). Killing Vindicta is ONE OF the main methods if training Prayer going into the Late Game. ----------------------------------------------------------------- S3: The Late Game ----------------------------------------------------------------- For the Late Game - this section will make a few notes for the Invention skill, some more gearing tips, and some other, more suitable bosses to do. Invention Invention is a skill that can be started after a player has obtained Level 80 in: Crafting, Smithing, and Divination. Once you have achieved Level 80 in these 3 skills, you can start by going through a tutorial for Invention by speaking to Doc at the Invention Guild. You can access the Invention Guild via CTRL+T > Misc > Invention Guild. When it comes to leveling up Invention, it would be best to follow this guide made by Arcadiez. It outlines how you can train it with combat and via skilling. When it comes to creating things with Invention, you will need "Materials" - please follow this guide, credits to @NubonmyPC for the item disassembly guide. To put it easily, you will disassemble equipment, and regular items for Materials which are used to create Invention-based items, such as Augmentors. Augmentors are used to 'Augment' equipment and tools, a list of Augmentable Items can be found here. An item being 'Augmented' will mean that you can apply 'Perks' to it via Gizmo Shells. Gizmo Shells, when given 'Materials' will be able to store 'Perks' - a list of perks can be found here. Although Velheim does not use the same formula as RS3, we still have a majority of the perks working here. To see the Optimal Perks for PVMing, they can be found here. To see the Optimal Perks for Skilling, they can be found here. Later on in Invention, you will be able to make Alchemical Onyxes, and Alchemical Hydrixes which are used to make some great Jewellry. One of the harder-to-get components are Fortunate Components, these can be obtained from disassembling unique clue rewards. So be sure to do all of your Clue Scrolls (which were mention in Section 1)! One of the integral items to create Alchemical Onyxes/Hydrixes is Junk! You get Junk from disassembling items, the higher Invention Level you have, the less junk you will get. You will need Junk, in conjunction with a Junk Refiner to create Refined Components. These are used in the process, alongside Fortunate Components to make Alchemical Onyxes, and Alchemical Hydrixes! One of the best methods to earn Junk is to do ED3 Trashruns, and to disassemble the Reef Relics you obtain (Common, Uncommon, and Rare). The Common & Uncommon Reef Relics will provide you with Junk and other components, whilst Rare Relics will give you Rare Components. In the following spoiler tag I have included a quick image for ED3 Trash running. For ED3 Trashruns it is recommended that your armour is around Tier 60+ and your weapon should be an AOE weapon - thus, range is NOT recommended. In case of Magic - A set of Lunar Armour purchased from the Untradeables Store will suffice, with a T60 Godstaff will work. Just be sure that with this setup you are using Blood Burst at LEAST and you have Protect from Melee ON for the majority of the dungeon. In case of Melee - a set of at Tier 70+, so Necrite and above is recommended with at LEAST a Dragon Halberd. You can purchase a Dragon Halberd from the Quartermaster's Store in Port Tyras (you can use a charter ship from Port Sarim). In the case you have higher tier Halberd weapons (ie; Attuned/Crystal Halberd, Dragon Rider Lance, Scythe) you can use those. For late-game skilling, it is recommended that you aim for a Grace of the Elves which can also be made with an Alchemical Onyx. The 'GOTE' can be charged with Porters which were previously-mentioned in 'The Beginning', and storing up to a maximum of 500 charges/porters. This means that a fully-charged GOTE will automatically bank any 500 resources earned while it is activated, and worn. The GOTE also has a passive that can spawn a Seren Spirit which will provide you with one Rare Drop Table 'loot'. It is worth noting that, in terms of priority - you should make a Luck of the Dwarves ring, before you make a 'Grace of the Elves'. The Rare Drop Table 'Loot' provided by the Seren Spirit is affected by Luck, meaning you can get a Hazelmere's Signet Ring. Although extremely rare, the HSR itself, is not only a 'Tier 4' Luck Ring - but also has a passive to double any singular drop from a monster. Not to mention that the HSR can ONLY be obtained from the Rare Drop Table when you have a Luck of the Dwarves equipped/as an Archaeology passive. Reaper Tasks Reaper Tasks can be started by talking to Death in his office. To access Death's office you must interact with Death's Hourglass near the Slayer Masters at home. When receiving a Reaper Task, you will be requested to kill 'x' number of a specific boss - just like Slayer, completing a task will provide points. In the case of Reaper Tasks, Reaper Points. It is recommended that you save your points to buy Incomplete Hydrixes. You must add a Cut Onyx to this, to create a Hydrix. A Complete Hydrix can be used to create different types of Hydrix Jewellry. The first one to make (in my opinion), should be the Hydrix Amulet, which can be enchanted into an Amulet of the Souls. You will then go on to make a Hydrix Necklace, which can be enchanted into a Reaper Necklace. Both of these Neck-Slot items are charged with Cut Onyxes, with a singular Cut Onyx providing 50% charge to the necklace. Both of these Neck-Slot items, alongside an Alchemical Hydrix, are used to create the Essence of Finality amulet which is the best amulet in the game. Bossing For 'Late-game' bosses, I believe here is where I would list: Nex, Telos, Araxxor, Elite Dungeons 1, and 2, Corporeal Beast, Vorago, Kalphite King, The Order of the Acension, and The Magister. For 'End-game' bosses, I would list: Elite Dungeon 3, and Nex: Angel of Death. Written Guides for: Nex, Corporeal Beast, and The Order of the Acension can be found here. @Noobs Own has video-based guides on: Kalphite King, and Vorago. @sterling has extensively thought out and prepared guides on the: Elite Dungeon 1, Elite Dungeon 2, and Elite Dungeon 3. @Esker has a very well-made guide on: Nex: Angel of Death. Skilling & Gearing At this point in your gameplay, you should already be hitting 99s in plenty of your skills this also means that with Mining & Smithing, you should at least either be; close to, or finishing - the Masterwork Armour Grind, so congratulations! In the case you have also done a little bit of bossing, you should also have... Drygore Weaponry, obtained from the Kalphite King (accessed via CTRL+T > Bosses > Kalphite King. A Hexhunter Bow from Soulgazers (accessed via CTRL+T > Slayer > Stalker Dungeon). At LEAST a Camel Staff, obtained from Camel Warriors (location can be found in this guide, credits to @Kim). The other Late-Game gear you'll want to aim for are: Sirenic Armour (ranged), and Tectonic Armour (magic). It is recommended to farm Sirenic Scales from Order of the Acension (minus Legione bosses) monsters, and you obtain Tectonic Energies from Vorago. To create each respective armour set, you will need 84 of each ingredient. *Note: Sirenic Armour cannot be repaired with Sirenic Scales. Tectonic Armour cannot be repaired with Tectonic Energy. To repair Tectonic & Sirenic Armour, you must use another piece of Tectonic/Sirenic Armour on the degrading piece to repair it. Augmenting Sirenic or Tectonic armour will allow you to repair it with GP. ----------------------------------------------------------------- S4: The End Game *insert avengers theme song here* ----------------------------------------------------------------- For the End Game, this is when you will obtain your highest tiers of gear - the absolute PINNACLE. Methods to obtain the gear below can be found on their respective wiki pages (that are hyperlinked). For Melee Armour, you should be getting the Trimmed Masterwork Armour, this can also be found in the previously mentioned Smithing Guide. ------------------------------------------ The following items can be Dyed, with Dyes obtained from Hard and Elite Treasure Trails/Clue Scrolls. Please remember that if you do plan on Dye'ing your equipment, you must do it BEFORE Augmentation of ANY kind. You CANNOT Dye any equipment that is ALREADY Augmented. For Ranged Armour, you should be getting the Elite Sirenic Armour, with how to create it being located here. For Magic Armour, you should be getting the Elite Tectonic Armour, with how to create it being located here. For Melee Weaponry, the highest tier weapons are: 2-Handers: Noxious Scythe, and the Zaros Godsword. Single Handers: MainhandKhopesh of Tumeken, and the offhand Khopesh of Elidinis. For Ranged Weaponry, the highest tier weapons are: 2-Handers:Noxious Longbow, Seren Godbow, and the Eldritch Crossbow. Single Handers: Mainhand Ascension Crossbow, and the Off-hand Ascension Crossbow, Blightbound Crossbow and the offhand Blightbound Crossbow For Magic Weaponry, the highest tier weapons are: 2-Handers: Noxious Staff, Staff of Sliske. Single Handers: Mainhand Seismic Wand, and the offhand Seismic Singularity, Wand of the Praesul and the offhand Imperium Core ------------------------------------------ For your neck-slots item you should have an Essence of Finality Amulet. For your ring-slot item you should have a: Luck of the Dwarves or a Hazelmere's Signet Ring, and a Ring of Death (use the Ring of Death during a kill, swap to LOTD/HSR when the enemy is dying for Luck enhancement) For your pocket-slot item you will want an: Illuminated God Book, a Book of Death (obtained from Death's reward shop), or Erethdor's Grimoire obtained from Solak. For your cape-slot item you will want either: A Kiln Cape (from the Fight Kiln), a Max Cape, or a Completionist Cape. The information above was obtained from the Gear Progression Guide, credits to @Arcadiez. Ancient Invention For the highest tier Invention Perks, you will want to unlock Ancient Invention. A handbook for Ancient Invention perks can be found here, and an Ancient Invention Overview can be found here. Credits to @Fulltimewife for the Perks Handbook. Credits to @Kimfor the Ancient Invention Overview in the thread. Skills and More Assuming you are already Maxed and own a Max Cape, perhaps you should go for a Completionist Cape? To view the requirements for the Completionist Cape, you can 'investigate' it in the Home Building (;;home). Heck, you can even go for some 120s, maybe even 200ms. Keep them gains going. ----------- END ----------- Thank you for checking out this guide/handbook. This is probably the most thinking I've put into writing a guide before. I know that there are MANY Ironmen that ask for some sort of a progression list when they first join. I hope that this handbook can be used to provide at least some readable assistance on how to generalize progression. Should any of the content in this thread be out-dated, or change, I will update it ASAP.

  4. I appreciate you writing this not only for yourself but also for us. Transparency is a key towards success imo. We’ve all been a bit iffy with the server lately and with past discord discussions it might’ve come across like we want bad stuff for the server, i.e most of misfits including hans etc. At the end of the day we just saw the potential and wanted it to keep going but might’ve come out in the wrong way due to large controversial changes. I respect this is your passionproject but for a lot of us it was a passionserver aswell. I think most of it boils down to when we peaked at like ~400 players, was a helluva great time at the server but after that everything in my eyes started to decline. I dont know what happened internally at that time but after that point in time we started receiving a ton lf hidden game nerfs that we had to figure out ourselves. People prepared endgame perks/setups to get rolled over by a hidden nerf that we had to figure out ourselves yet again. So my personal opinion is we lack transparency, be transparent with us and your staffmembers. From what it seems half the time they don’t even know what’s going on. Be like ”Hey guys I have X issue with the server and I’d like to solve it by doing Y or Z, what do you guys think?”. I know you’ve been fucked over on previous servers but we’re all here because we enjoy/enjoyed what velheim is/was. A lot of people have been offering help but been rejected, you’re not in this alone mate. Every staffmember and every helpful player doesn’t do this for themselves, they do it for you and because we still somewhat believe in you. I joined this server back in early January which is when we started booming, everything back then was going great. Seemed like players were listened to and not just told by staff that ”If u dont like the server gtfo” which has been the case recently. It’s like if there has been criticism, albeit harsh at times, we’ve been told that ”we dont need u here gtfo if u dont like it”. The base of the server isn’t bad by any means, its one of the best. And I don’t know exactly what to do to go back to where we were, all I know is the server needs to start being a lot more transparent than what it is. Take the ECB removal from ed2 as an example, that would have been a perfect time to have a discussion with the community. ”Hey do u guys rather want to keep ECB at ed2 and add some new reward to ed3?” Instead of during a random reboot buff ed2 hp 4x and remove ECB and then no update log. Hell, throw up a community feedback in discord VC once a month, sit down with players at a specific time and go through current balances, proposed future projects, discuss meta changes. Doesn’t have to be a whole day, just an hour or two. That way you won’t have to spend a lot of time doing stuff you know people wont appreciate. I know this will never happen but I personally believe, seeing as u have a kid now and not as much energy/time, I think it’s time you hire a dev to do small qol/bug fixes for you so you can focus on the good stuff. Not for the server but for yourself, so you can feel a bit more relaxed. Don’t take this text the wrong way I still love you and velheim but transparency is key. Rather over transparent than not at all. I hope it one day turns around and sparks a large drawback of players including myself as I haven’t really been playing for some time now. edit; I also believe all of PVM is to easy, people just skip most gear upgrades and go from mystic + cstaff to SOS + tectonic. Much love,

  5. You guys had good intentions. I believe that. But you gotta understand, a lot of gp is not coming into game anymore with these nerfs. Invention, being a huge money sink, is going to effectively eat even more of it, but with less gp injection in the eco, its going to be even harder to do it. Not to mention, this is going to hurt players. A lot of people did the methods they did so that gp was consistently flowing into the economy. Now? There's nothing. There's nobody. Everything will crash. EVERYTHING. And PvM will effectively die out; cause with no flow of gp, prices will go down to make up for it. And suddenly, there's no incentive anymore. What was so good about the previous gp income was every monster in the game had a purpose. Now that's almost lost strictly to slayer tasks. Is that the only option? Where's the flexibility now? And if this has to stay, increase the amount of monsters per slayer task! Buying or selling, both sides are heavily affected by this, and it's not going to work for much longer. Power to the players is the moral here. We know what's good for the game, and we're noticing the problem already. And some are already thinking of leaving because of this. There needs to be a change.

  7. Foreword Hi guys, it's Ster. If you guys didn't know I recently achieved the first completion of all Elite Dungeon collection logs, and with that, I wanted to show everybody how awesome this content can be, and show you how to do it just like I do, all the techniques and routing included. The plan is to make this guide as accessible to as many players as possible, but will be mostly coming from the solo perspective. This doesn't mean you shouldn't use this in teams, though! Without further adieu, let's get to the gear setup. Presets and Equipment Floor I: Temple Entrance Floor II: The Sanctum Floor III: Between The Sanctum and Throne Room Floor IV: Throne Room Floor V: The Azure Prison Conclusion Wow, that was a lot of info, wasn't it? It's a lot easier than it looks, though. I recommend running this dungeon with a group of 3 due to Seiryu's scale drop not scaling to additional members, and for faster clears. Understand that I do not expect everyone to have my gear setup- just bring your best and do your best. I hope this guide helped you understand the dungeon more, and that you'll get your Elite Sirenic sets quickly cause of it! Next guide is the Dragonkin Laboratory (soontm)- until then, good luck and have fun! - ster Final Collection Log & Pet Showcase (198 Sanctum Guardians, and 159 Masutas) Kuroryu

  8. Since this is the most asked thing it gets a special space at the top of the thread. For the hand of glory, you only need one in order to make the luck of the dwarfs relic. We don't need to do them in order. However if you wish to unlock them all because having locked ones trigger your ocd you can speak to Easty at the monolith to reclaim a hand of glory (after making it into a relic). This is a small bypass of obtaining them all without having to repair the statue (because it's unreachable) tips fastest leveling route mysteries W are now going to jump straight into mystery's, below are the following mystery's for each faction. Once that work have a full explanation and links of how to complete and ones that are not completable have guide but as they get added I will continue to update the guide. Please note, Dragonkin dig sites are currently not in-game so they will not be added to this guide yet. excavation spots Materials Below is a list of materials, including there cache locations that provide them and level requirements (With fastest teleports/routes to the, click on the route to open the wiki which has a map image) collections Collections and level requirements for completion, rewards and materials needed. Pylon Batteries can be used to charge the Pylons inside the Kharid-et Digsite, 100 pylon batteries are required to charge the pylons and they will last 30 minuites. During the time they are active you have a 10% xp boost, 5% excavation precision, increased chances at getting staff peices for the Inquisitor Staff, you also have increased chances at getting tetracompass peices. Along with increased chances, you will also be able to access The Praetorium Wartable which will allow you to gain acess Praetorium where you can find the following Excavation spots: Ancient Magick Munitions Praetorian Remains War Table Debris In order to Enter the table as well as the Pylons being active you will also need to charge all 8 Shadow Anchors, each Anchor requiring 10 Pylon Batteries (80 needed in total) see below for locations of the Shadow Anchors. 9. Foreword Hi guys, it's Ster once gain with another comprehensive guide on every Elite Dungeon in Velheim. This is it, the final and easily most anticipated one yet, and easily my favorite of all the 3. ED3- or The Shadow Reef. Easily the hardest one to solo, and one of the most rewarding to solo. At the time of making this guide, I have 698 full clears of this dungeon. Out of all of them, over 250+ have been solo. I get asked often how to properly complete this dungeon by yourself, and this guide will hopefully show you exactly how to do it, but will also show you how to run it with friends as well. Why should you solo? The final boss encounter of the dungeon, being The Ambassador, drops the parts to make the Eldritch Crossbow- a 2h Ranged weapon with perhaps the strongest special attack in the game. The Ambassador's drop rate for these pieces is significantly increased when less players are in the instance. Even for a 200x account, the pieces are roughly the same base drop rate as any Nex equipment drop. Solo is difficult, and takes time to master. When you figure it out, though, you will reap the rewards in abundance! So, let's just dive right into it, and make some crossbows! Presets and Equipment Floor I: The Shadow Reef Entrance Floor II: The Temple Entrance Floor III: The Abyssal Depths Conclusion And that's it. The final Elite Dungeon guide is finished! This one felt like a HUGE info dump, but I'm happy about it and the new subsections I tried with this one. ED3 is definitely my favorite one to run, with the highest reward of them all. You will see below just how many crossbows I've made in all my full clears- although I only got about 2 of the 3 pieces constantly for a good while there. I hope you guys learned a lot from this three part series, and I expect to see more full clear milestone broadcasts in game because of it. I'd like to give thanks to everyone that's ran this dungeon with me. Being able to share our strategies together is what made this possible, and why I even became the Elite Dungeon Master in the first place. Thank you! @foxx @shiny shinx @Fulltimewife @asgardian @NubonmyPC @Esker @Eila If I didn't include you it's because I couldn't @ you, or just simply didn't remember to. Sorry if that's the case! If you guys want me to make any more guides in the future, let me know in game or over Discord. I'll definitely consider making more of this sort of thing! Until then, good luck and have fun. - ster Final Collection Log & Pet Showcase (This is the picture taken as I completed log. Since I still do ED3, this doesn't match the live collection log. I will provide the current one further below.) Ambi

  10. Greetings Velheimers! Here's a July Roadmap detailing some updates that I'm mostly planning to roll out by (hopefully) the end of July, or possibly into August as well. I'll keep this nice and short, straight to the point! GUI Updates There are too many GUI's (interfaces for short) in the game that have been left "unattended" and neglected, so I want to get working on bringing most, if not all GUIs up-to-date (think, Teleport menu redesign). Why interfaces you might ask? They're the base core of any game, poorly designed, choppy interfaces can quickly make any player leave instantly, who likes looking at and trying to navigate through weird interfaces, right? With this I'll also be looking at how the code was done for each and every one of them and how I can improve it to make them function smoother (using Jagex's script system)! This is a huge project, but I'm positive it will get great feedback for new and current players alike. Game Launcher The installer version of Velheim, and the JAR version of Velheim, are both currently not up to my standard, with this I plan on creating a launcher that loads after execution, and before the game loads - with this you'll be able to change game config, reset cache, check versions, enable/disable specific settings, enable enhanced draw-distance, and even better performance at the cost of visuals - all with a "Play" button to launch. This will allow ease of access to technical changes/configuration for the client with simple buttons. Bugs The bugs that have been reported, have been recently determined by importance on what is most impactful - at this time I would like to get all bugs fixed as soon as possible rather than letting some sit around for longer than I would like. In-game general changes Over the past year, the economy of the server has seen many, MANY twists and turns - from what I've seen, some changes are needed. I'll be reaching out to those in the community that I deem to be people who's opinions I can take into STRONG consideration for the future of this server's stability. This is a private server and should be of an ease of access to players of all types, I guess I just got lost at some point of the road. Website I'll also be looking into a new website design. Our current one has been around for a while now, and I think it's about time that the website gets the overhaul it truly deserves. The homepage is what people see of the server for their first time, thus, it must be simple to navigate and well designed to keep a potential players attention just that much longer! Other/Personal Over the past few months I've had a struggle in communicating with not only the player-base, but everybody in general. POF, and other updates put a toll on my drive to code in these recent months which left me in a tough spot. Real life is never kind to anyone, I've been dealing with Insomnia, Anxiety, Depression, and plenty more and I'm getting back on my feet but it still might take a while before I'm back in peak condition again. So bare with me while I get back on track, I'm sorry if I disappointed you and I'm sorry of how poorly managed Velheim was during these past few months of my absence. Sincerely, @Sandstorm

  11. Player-Owned Houses (Construction) Added the 'Home Sweet Home' music track whilst inside houses; Re-created the Tablet Making interfact and all of its components to now include all of the newest teleport tablets, proper creation action and tablet data depending on the lectern you have; Going inside houses will now feel much smoother and quicker (no more interface flicker+loading fourth and back); Disconnecting while inside a house will now correctly place you outside your own houses portal instead of force-move you to default respawn tile at home; Valentines Event Added a very simple event for Valentines Day that will run up until 20th of February (excluded); Talk to Wizard Deedit at home to find out the details and check out the rewards; Miscellaneous Changed the minimum attack speed requirement for 2-handed weapons to have double-swings from 4 to 5 ticks (this makes the hexhunter bow no longer do 2 hits); Preparations for the upcoming triple EXP event to activate automatically; Moved some item drops around for Kalphite King. The change should hopefully increase perfect chitin rate and decrease drygore weaponry drop rates; Fixes Magic cape spell-book switches now correctly require the codexes to switch; You will no longer be able to enter Kuradal's Slayer cave if not assigned a task of an NPC that's actually in the cave by herself, Morvran or Laniakea. Also made sure new dwarf multi-cannon versions are not permitted inside either. Also also did some fixes towards attacking NPC's that aren't assigned to you; (Un)equipping items will now save their real attributes (ie. partially filled god books); You can now right-click modify house teleport tablets to insta-load into your house on use, or, get placed outside the portal; Corrected the Treasure Trail Pirate's hat item ID for Clue scroll collection log purposes; Failing a teleport block cast will now visually show the splash graphic and send the corresponding sound effect. If the target player is already teleblocked - it will always splash and will no longer renew the timer.

  12. Greetings, Velheimers! Think it's about time I should start doing these, I don't promise them every month, nor an accurate follow-up when the time comes to develop my ideas into the game, but people have been asking me multiple times and I think it's only fair I respond. So without further ado, here's what I want to achieve next month! Death Penalty Dieing is completely safe to do on Velheim (unless in PvP (apart from Aura's and temp. effects)), which I think removes all the risk factor players have when bossing. Like "it's fine I'll reset and come back" shouldn't be a thing in my opinion. Safe death's removing ~5%-10% charge of each degrade-able item you have currently equipped of the items maximum charges. An easy example would be if an item has 100,000 charges, on death it would remove 10,000 and leave you with 90,000. Items that are close to breaking/dissapating would instantly break/ash them. This effect being negated by half (so from 5-10 to 2.5-5) after unlocking a reward from the Death's Store (I'll talk about that down below). I still want auras to deplete on death, so that's still staying. However, aura refreshes WILL be a thing! (again, I'll talk about this down below) TLDR: Safe death's not penalised enough, degrade-able armour losing charge. Death's Store The current interface is just a big image with clickable elements which I added in a hurry back when I didn't have the tools to make proper interfaces (back in 2018), is very lack luster and generally just.. terrible. I've already made a whole new interface for it (can be seen on Discord #server-teasers channel), pretty much completed just the server-part yet to be done which I'll do later down the line. The new store includes all current RuneScape rewards, including aura refreshes, cosmetics, and detailed descriptions/information for unlocks showing what you need to do to unlock them! Current unlocked rewards will not be affected and will be ticked off as unlocked when the update hits LIVE game so you don't have to worry about that part. TLDR: new death's store interface to match RuneScape's one, with new rewards and unlocks. Curses, Ancient/Lunar spell-books There is no unlocking sequence for these additional books on Velheim, you get the level and start using them. Simple as that. However, these books are locked behind a time-gate of levels AND a series of quests on RuneScape which makes them fair to use to players who dedicate time and effort into the game. These additional books (curses, ancients and lunars) will now be locked behind an unlock that will be purchase-able from the Loyalty Point store. I think it's THE store to put them in, as a time-gate of sorts. I'll also be making them trade-able so there's a good market for those, not quite sure on that one but when the time comes I'll make the decision. TLDR: Curses, ancient and lunar spell-books will now have to be unlocked via 'codexes'. 120 Herblore & Farming Not much to say here, but for people who don't know: Jagex made these 2 skills go to base level 120 with new seeds, new herbs and more powerful potions. I'll first need to sort out the current kinks I have with these 2 skills, they're still remnants of the original 718 Matrix code-wise and aren't the greatest. Have to overhaul everything, and then build up from there. I'm not 100% sure I'll have it ready by the end of October, but I sure as hell want to do it, at least the basics done if I can! TLDR: 120 Farming/Herblore, new seeds, new potions. Halloween event Can't forget about Halloween, which is on the 31st of October. You can expect some great reward hunting a bit before the 31st TLDR: Halloween event soon'ish! With that, we'll give you a break from reading for today. ~The Staff Team.

  13. Thank you for being humble about this. It shows your growth as a developer and it shows you can trust your players to help you out. I'll be asking my clan about our complaints and issues, but I'll fire off some suggestions for you. Adjust Dual Wielding; It is outclassed almost no matter what by 2h and is completely neglected. Adjust the invention perk weighting. Easier said than done and I know you're wanting somebody to bring you a more refined system for it. Ancient invention is one of the biggest gp sinks in the endgame due to the extremely rare perk combinations. You should also consider reworking some perks/adding custom additions to them (Caroming is custom anyway) Introduce further 120 skills. Herblore and Farming as 120 skills would set the path for a lot of other issues (I.E. Extreme Invention Potions for ancient invention) Find something out about the Grand Exchange. This is extremely complicated, but this server has many ironmen and not very many normal players that trade and cycle gp around, and many items are very limited due to the lack of people actually going for drops. Most PvMers are actually bored cause of one thing; Lack of difficulty. There is no challenge in this game and as a big PvMer myself, I absolutely welcome it. Leading back to the Grand Exchange issue, a lot of these high level drops CANNOT be sold on the Grand Exchange because nobody can sell them due to extreme undercut or lack of gp circulation. Make content harder! It's not a bad thing. Make people feel like their gear is progressing and they're actually getting better for practicing the content. You can do just about anything in this game in T80 gear if not less. Accessibility is good, but too much is a curse. Host community events perhaps? Not just like, The Beach, but maybe weekly PvM events, or skilling competitions. Get your community involved and excited to not just compete with eachother, but come together as a community and enjoy eachother. For PvM events, maybe try handicaps and buffs (only use these parts of gear, but allow something very strong inbetween.) Work with your PvP community and fix the problems they all have with it. Give incentive to go into the Wilderness, face off against players, and make it rewarding. Or even add PvP based modes, like Last Man Standing, or perhaps a PvP only world where everywhere is dangerous. Provide more raw gp gain. I know you're probably sick of hearing this but the economy is in shambles because of the gp nerf. Allow people to be rewarded for doing their favorite bosses/slayer content WITHOUT being on task or on reaper assignment. An addition: rework the slayer and reaper reward shops. Make tasks longer, allow preferred tasks, and add additional rewards to the reaper shop. Fix some collection logs; I have the most Vorago kc in the game and I cannot complete my collection log still (add hardmode vorago cause its too easy anyway) Perhaps add Golden Reaper? And maybe add pet thresholds to encourage people to grind for their pets but rewarding them for doing it anyway. Add additional Achievement Diaries. I know a lot of people would love to see Tirannwn Quiver, Wilderness Sword, Desert Amulet, Daemonheim Aura, and Ardougne Cloak. Finish the missing Arch relics and mysteries. A ton of people try to get some relics just to be told they're not coded or don't work and that kills motivation for a lot of content. Work on Anachronia more! Introduce Big Game Hunter, and flush it out a little bit more. It largely feels incomplete and the only incentive to go is for Grenwalls. Also add Orthen when you get the chance (we know you're working on it) Add somebody to your dev team. We know you don't want to, and we know why. But you have a lot going on in your personal life and you need that assistance, you NEED that backup support. Find somebody you know you can trust, and work together with them to help your game grow. Also! Ask your community more things like you're doing now. Ask us in game even. Allow more beta gameplay. I was able to test the ED3 patch and I had a ton of fun doing it and giving you some notable feedback on it all, and it's good to have an early opinion from early access so you know what to adjust and fix. Allow your players and your own staff team access to give you early feedback before throwing anything into live. We want to help, you know? Add scaling to Elite Dungeons. Give people incentive to solo the content for higher droprates. ED1: Fix the Ancient Scale drop for Seiryu, it's STILL severely underwhelming. ED2: Make the Elite Dungeon Banking ability drop from Black Stone Dragon not as rare, it's the equivalent of an ECB part before ED3 patch. ED3: Allow some use of Black Stone Hearts, and make Black Stone Arrows work. Maybe create custom passives from them, or a sigil like item like Excalibur's effect. It's a lot to take in, but this is for the better of your server and for the better of your community and loyal players. I love this game a lot, despite only being here for half a year, and I want it to be better. We wanna help, Sandstorm, and I'm glad you're reaching out.

  14. Combat related Fixed the Rune Claw special attack; Added the Lava Whip special attack - it'll now stun target NPC's for 6 seconds, or, if used against other players it pulls them closer to you from a long distance; Vindicta will now be able to attack from afar; Hopefully fixed the issue of Ripper Demons getting stuck in walls after leaping; Miscellaneous Updated the 'Items kept on death' interface to now display all items saved, protected and dropped properly. Also made all buttons functional as intended; Skilling Urns will now correctly send off multiple urns at once if the EXP you obtained over-filled them; The Chompy Hunting Shop will now slowly deplete of items and re-stock daily (per-player); Overhauled how cosmetic override weapons works. It can now check for weapon types much better directly from the cache, your weapons will no longer get overriden if they don't match your current weapons type, they'll now use the proper 'stance' animation and their actual combat attack animations depending on the cosmetic override; Magic Secateurs and the Going Green game perk will now properly multiply your Farming yield (by 10% and 25% respectively). Previously it was only adding static numbers; Added a server broadcast for whenever someone maxes out their total EXP (5.6B); The Scroll of Daemonheim can now be used to unlock the ability: when performing any non-combat action to gain experience in Daemonheim, there is a 50% chance you will gain an additional 5% of that XP in the Dungeoneering skill; Added full Sir Atcha's dialogue. You may now re-claim your Lock's of Hair from him; Made the Crystal Shield perk only half the incoming damage while the damage phase of it is active; Bug fixes Re-enabled the Augmented Upgraded Bone blowpipe as I could no longer re-produce the crashing issue with it, however, if you find anything wrong with it - let me know; Coconuts can now be added to Compost bins to make Supercompost; Fixed an issue that caused skill EXP goals to not calculate proper completion percentage; All Dungeoneering item rewards will now be dynamically un-trade-able (dynamically as in pulled from the cache); The Tool Leprechaun will no longer try and note your produce if the items have no note-versions; Araxxor will now properly count as a Spider Slayer task; Revenant Spirit pet drops should now work as intended; Phoenix feathers will now correctly get banked with Sign's of the Porter; Fixed an issue with House Servants not properly returning to you with the items you requested; You can now squeeze-past the icy blocks in Ice Plateau; Feathers can now also be used as bait for Barbarian Fishing; The Stile shortcut south of Falador allotment is now functional; You can now store Ancient Ceremonial robes in Armour case storages inside your Houses; Corrected the EXP message received when building a Tuska Mask for the first time; You can now correctly use Magic notepaper on Crystal flasks to note them; Removed the 'null' options on Effigies, Chronicle fragments and Blisterwood items; You will now be able to un-equip items from the Equipment Bonuses interface while inside Soul Wars (everything except the cape); Corrected Spring Cleaner upgrading required Spring amounts; You can now Fletch Mahogany logs into Mahogany stock, and then create Adamant crossbows out of them; You can now create all types of 2h Ranged crossbows via the Fletching skill; Fixed the Agility Pyramid incorrect Agility level checks (they were reversed); You will no longer lose your Aura when completing Fight caves/Fight kiln mini-games; Pet shop owner's dialogue will now open up the correct shop; All God Magic capes can now be stored inside Cape Racks within your House; Shards of Armadyl are no longer trade-able.

  15. Sand, first and foremost, thank you for all your hard work & time you invest into the server. No one can fault you for all the content we've recieved even recently after the birth of your child(Congratulations again!). Unfortunately... I can't help but become frustrated because although you're pushing out content, some of the content is incomplete. Being the First server to have the Essence of Finality, or the Mining & Smithing Rework, or Archeology are all fantastic feats. We all get a huge rush whenever you push out one of these updates. However, once the nuance fades, we see the glaring problems that come with missing content. Much of the problems aren't gamebreaking - but nuisances. I'll give a few examples. 1. Essence of Finality - This update came out THE SAME DAY as Jagex released it. It was exciting. It was fun. It was exactly what our little baby needed for its Legacy combat. However, you & I discussed how we thought it should work, and you coded it. We weren't completely off the ball... but now we can see that it doesn't have all its intended functionality. We can't use all weapon subtypes with each of the weapons we should be able to. E.g. we should be able to use a Korasi Sword special attack with ANY melee weapon; or use SGB special attack with asc crossbows. This is because we didn't know just how it was going to work - so obviously you're not at fault here. But this could be changed now that we know jagex intended for it to actually be quite flexible - which is kind of out of character for them lol. 2. Invention - The way you've implemented invention into the game was extremely creative, and very fun. I'm glad you'd made up some of your own recipes for gizmos which we had to figure out for ourselves back when it was first released(I think most of them are just rs3 mixes now that ancient invention has been released). We love the custom interfaces, and the donation-invention-perk is fantastic. The new interface you made to create gizmos is outfuckingstanding. Jagex should've had you on their team for that one. Components, possibilties, and selections in the same clean interface. BAMF coder. Sandly, (yeah i just did that) we are missing both tech trees which is causing us to miss out on some pretty great content such as the B.A.N.K Stander(which is gonna be my favorite, fuck whatever @hamderhans has to say bout me XD) Oldak's Coil, and use of quite a few rare components such as pestiferous components. 3. Archeology - Going to cut this one down; Archeology is excellent, but missing content. Plain and Simple. Recommendations for Sandstorm: For large updates definitely go with Batch Updates like Jagex did when they released invention. It is truly an immense amount of content, and releasing it all at once would've caused more problems than it was worth. That said, it may have been better if you did the first Invention release, and then pushed out the rest of inventions content immediately after to avoid going back and forth. The same thing with Archeology mysteries/research, it would've been nice to have those pushed out some time after the main update. I'm sure everyone knows, its usually more time efficient to focus on one task and complete it in its entirety, than work on multiple things at once when it comes to things that require intricate attention. Overall, I think you should let the community compile similar unfinished content pieces and present them in a way that you can hone in and fix/add things. Maybe go Skill by skill for instance. Also, get some of your more trusted players back onto your Beta servers. I know some of us are complete noobs and have just gone on to fuck with Invention Gizmos instead of testing the content you need tested....(I'm not guilty of this. Nope. Not. Even. Slightly. Never. Fuck no. Stop looking at me.) but we definitely want to help, and since most of us can't code, and the rest of us are not allowed to help with coding.... This is one of the best ways for us to help. To the Community: This server has the potential to be here for a very very long time. I don't want us to be so short-sighted as to actually listen to people who are constantly begging for AoD, or Solak to be released oh-so-soon. Sure, you may be getting bored. Maybe some of the content is a bit stale for you because you've PvM'd 2,000 hours with no new boss released... But for the health of the game we should be patient. There is a backlog of untouched content which greatly enhances the gameplay experience. If you're a regular mode player, chances are you have lost touch with what truly makes the game great. You skip over a ton of content. Yes. Most of it is skiller content. But runescape was never meant to be strictly about PvM, or PvP. Most content in the game is Skiller content. Let that sink in. Whenever we skip big pieces of skiller content, PvM is affected. Case and Point: Ancient Invention Gizmos. We've been all begging for Extreme Invention Potions haven't we? These were released September 2018. This is part of 120 herblore content. Why don't we have it? No priority for skilling updates. We can't just pander to PvM updates for player count. Yes, it provides more immediate gratification, but then we also get a net-negative outcome. People thinking the game is buggy, unfinished, unplayable. Perception is reality. We shouldn't be asking Sand to push content that is unhealthy for the longevity of the game and its player base. We don't need new bosses right now. We need to fix what we already got. Why my sense of Agency?: I'm going to address my agency in the matter, just because some people have the "Just, who does he think he is???" line of thinking. Recently, I had someone accuse me of being entitled simply because I'd donated a sum of money to the server. No. I am not entitled. If I felt that I was entitled, I would've made demands of Sand, and been banned a long time ago for being a dumbass. What I am is invested. There is a large difference between being invested in something, and feeling entitled due to actions you've made. Being invested, means that I want to reap the benefits of the servers greater success. Being entitled, means that I feel that I'm owed something from the server &/or Sandstorm. I'm not a fucking idiot... in this particular regard Sandstorm could turn the server off today, cut his losses, cut everyone out of his life, go play with his kid, and start another server in a few years to do it all over again. Ofcourse, I would be entitled to the void left behind. But I would never get the returns on my investment. The return I'm looking for, is to see 1,000+ players all playing an RS3 legacy mode server because Jagex said FUCK Legacy mode players. FUCK anyone who disliked EoC. We're going to deny you any access to the story & world you partook in and helped to build via your INVESTMENT of TIME and MONEY. You know where our entitlement went in December 2012? Right up our asses. So if you think my agency comes from a sense of entitlement, you're deluded. Conclusion: As much as I love *new* content. I'd be happy reviewing everything we've got so far. This is the #1 server out for a reason. Its got a great coder, and a pretty good community of people. We've got the most decent staff team we've had in ages, and a very consistent group of players. I believe if we want to keep climbing player count, we need to do the following things: 1. Revisit Old/Buggy/Incomplete content as a top priority. 2. Balance combat - until the next power creep update Jagex releases. Also stop requesting Sand to make updates that are out of line - e.g. asking for Buffs/Nerfs without doing ANY math or testing whatsoever. Sure, some things are apparent - but just don't assume Sand is going to take the time to do all the testing that actually requires full dedicated Teams on Jagex's staff to do. If you care about more than just your own damn self, please present yourself so I can call your ass up when its time to get Nitty Gritty. Big shout outs to people such as @Throniumclaw, @Fulltimewife , who have helped me test out some of Sands content in the past. There's a bunch of others, but I my brain can always pick those two out easily. 3. Fix community structure & ;;rules - Help fc is still a clusterfuck of conversations. Most of the time it's chill; sometimes it gets out of hand, and staff deals with it. Some players take things the wrong way. Just rename Help fc to - General. It doesn't need to be implied its for Help. ;;rules need to be updated seriously. "Mike Tyson" is still being used to replace the N word, which is racist in and of itself. I don't know why staff has ignored me the last 10 times I've mentioned it. Grey areas need to be minimal. Staff Discretion shouldn't be the first line of determination of whether or not someone is out of line. It should be apparent by matching ;;rules to a players behavior. It's not explicit enough. I'm sure staff has had internal discussion on it, but we've not seen any results. That is all.

  17. Solak is an anima guardian, enslaved by the dark elf Erethdor to siphon energy from the Lost Grove. The player is tasked with freeing Solak from Erethdor's grasp, aided by his sister, Merethiel, who provides aid during the fight. Solak is a high-level boss, boasting a variety of dangerous mechanics, and can be found in The Lost Grove. The encounter scales according to the number of players, ranging from 1-7 players. The mechanics and life point thresholds change across team size, with the loot drop rates remaining constant. Solak is a mechanically heavy boss, broken up over the 4 phases, with various targets. Some of these mechanics are optional, such as killing Erethdor and Realm. Solak attacks the main target (Base) with Melee auto-attacks, and secondary targets (DPS) with Ranged auto-attacks. You can receive as a drop for defeating Solak the tier 92 Range weapons Blightbound crossbows, the pocket slot Erethdor’s Grimoire, as also Cinderbane Gloves and the Merethiel Stave override. As pets you can receive the Purple Mushroom that unlocks the Blightbound Lesher companion pet, and Imbued bark shard that unlocks Solly pet. Perdita pet is obtained by defeating Solak 1000 times. PHASE HEALTH MECHANICS HEALTH PRESETS MECHANICS Phase One Phase Two Phase Three Phase Four OVERVIEW & STRATEGIES This is an overview and some strategies for the main mechanics during the fight against Solak. Still, I advise you to check previous text to understand how all the mechanics work. This is the way I deal with mechanics, feel free to try other ways too. Strategies may also change from time to time depending on updates. I will try to keep updated as often as possible. Would like to thank @sscent, @Diogo, @Almost Done, @Seisen and @k3ito for helping me to develop the strategies. Hope this guide helps everyone to get their Solak kc's.

  18. This thieving guide will be the route that mainly consists of pickpocketing as it's the fastest method of training xp wise, below will be the fastest route along with additional routes that may be longer but may be worthwhile if you require certain items or don't have the sticky fingers relic power. Before we get started (If you don't have 84 archaeology please skip to levelling): Sticky Fingers Relic Power: This is an amazing relic power to have when training thieving, when pickpocketing you will automatically attempt to pickpocket again until caught. Dominarian Device: This is needed to acquire the sticky fingers relic power, all you have to to is restore it and hand it into Reldo. (84 Archelogy is required for this) Level 1-10 - Man Location Teleports > Lodestone > Lumbridge Alternative 1-10 Crafting stall located at home Teleports > Thieving > Home stalls 10-15 Farmer Location Teleports > Thieving > Draynor Village 15-20 H.A.M Members (Female) Location Teleports > thieving > H.A.M Hideout 20-25 H.A.M Member (Male) Location Teleports > thieving > H.A.M Hideout 25-40 Warrior Woman Location Teleports > Farming > Varrock Palace Tree 38-40 Master Farmer Location Teleports > Thieving > Draynor village or Teleports > Thieving > Catherby Market 40-45 Guards Location Teleports > Farming > Varrock Palace Tree 45-55 Fremennik Citizen Location Teleports > Training > Rockcrabs or Spell book > Lodestone teleports > Fremennik Province 55-70 Knight of Ardougne Location Teleports > Thieving > Ardougne Market 70-75 Paladin Location Teleports > Thieving > Ardougne Market 75-80 Gnome Location Teleports > Thieving > Tree Gnome Stronghold 80-90 Hero Location Teleports > Thieving > Ardougne Market 85-90 Elves (Currently no spawns available) Location Teleports > Farming > Llyeta 90-99 Traders Location Teleports > Thieving > Keldagrim 94-99 (Supply route) - Amlodd Worker Although these guys are not as much xp as trader, they do have Sign of the porter IV in there thieved items list which are amazing when it comes to training other skills in the future. Location Spells book > Lodestone > Prifddinas Alternative route for 91-99 (Prifddinas) Pryamind Plunder: You can also do Pryamind Plunder from level 21 Home Stalls: You can do home stalls from level 1-99, although the xp rate is lower you will make more money, I'd also recommended doing the stalls if you are on Easy mode. 19. Thanks to @Zexillium for his herblore guide that I used as a base. Revamped the Herblore guide to make it slightly more user friendly, so you can see which herbs/secondaries you need for each potion and the level requirement all in one place, firstly we are going to show you where the trader is that sells vials and vials of water for ironmen users to use and a few other top tips for ironmen, if you are not ironman skip past this. Top Tips for Ironmen: Tip 1: Step 1: Open up the teleports interface and Search for East Tav Step 2: Once there look for Jatix Step 3: Open his shop to buy some basic ingredients that you can use in potion making below and vials/vials of water (This shop resets everyday at the server reset time. Tip 2: Plant 5 White berry seeds in your farming patches, as these regrow you can pick them every 80 Minutes which is extremely helpful when it comes to making Defence Potions ( White Berry Seeds = Fungal Mage, Moss Giant) Tip 3: Always do the evil tree when you can, even if you only catch it at the end as the rewards include the seeds for both the main and secondary ingredients for prayer renewal Potions. It lasts for 5 minutes when placed as other portables do however this one is special as when it's time is up it will return to you. You can also store this in your diango storage if you are tight on space. 20. Hello, I just wanted to drop a quick message to all of you as for why I've been gone for a few weeks now. I feel I owe you guys an apology since I promised POF by the end of this month, however, due to real life things I haven't been online much and when I do get on I can't really concentrate or have the motivation to do anything. I'm not going to say why because that's none of anyones business, but I hope you understand and don't think bad of me, nor Velheim. I'll be back, not sure when, but I will be. Edit: If anyone needs my attention, feel free to message me on Discord. I'm always there, and I'll reply as soon as I can. I'm not completely gone, I'll just be hovering around.

  21. Dear Velheimers, Honestly I feel like I'm at crossroads right now, the playerbase has been rapidly declining probably most likely due to unpopular changes. I can't even describe the feelings I have right now because of this, the feelings of sadness and depression would be something close to that.. Anyways, we need to do something about the issue at hand. I still enjoy my time developing and managing Velheim, it was and still is my passion project after all! But, and this is a huge but, we need all hands on deck to figure out solid ways to get us back up on our feet. I ran Velheim for just a bit over 2 years with 10 players online at max until this year, after which it kind of got popular in the RSPS scene, somehow, not sure how exactly, it just happened. I have no problem going back to our roots because I enjoy doing this, but it was really nice to have a ton of people appreciate my work here and if you get something taken away it does feel really off. I'm sure you know of this. The question is, however, do you guys have any ideas that would help me, us, get back to our rightful place as the 718 giant? Can be anything honestly, your opinions, suggestions, comments - I'll read through it all. tl;dr: game dead, please send help. Sincerely, @Sandstorm

  23. I'll make this short and.. uhh, sweet? HELLO! For you all who've been following our Discord you may have noticed the announcement about the whole staff team's inactivity as a whole, especially mine and the lack of updates, yes, it's one of those posts again (who'd thought)! Life always comes first (even I have one, woah!) and I had to deal with some nonsense again, as well as the untimely burn out as mentioned in the Discord announcement. Working on Velheim has always been enjoyable for me, a hobby if you will. Treating your hobby as an actual job makes it.. well, that wouldn't be your hobby now would it. Have to take breaks from time to time! Velheim's not going away, I'll still be here yanking my hose 10 years later trying to perfect the project I'm passionate about. With that said; I should be back now? I think. Mostly everything is sorted now and I'll start picking the pace back up, we still have a ton of unadded content I'd like to work on. Think that sums up everything I wanted to say, see you online gamers (or in Discord); Edit: Forgot to mention, but a huge thank you to all who've been supporting us through votes, communication and financial support! Was able to snag a few advertisement spots while I was away as well 🤗 - @Sandstorm

  24. OUTDATED I'll update this one day Foreword Hey guys, Esker here. With the recent release of Nex: Angel of Death on Velheim, I wanted to write this guide in order to break down various mechanics of this boss. This boss is notorious for being difficult with a lot of intricacies. AoD is considered to be an end-game boss, but with the correct knowledge of mechanics, a well prepared team can easily do this boss in minutes. This is one of my favorite bosses, I have over 8,000 kills and close to 1,000 hours dedicated to the boss on RS3, and I hope to increase those numbers by killing this boss even more on Velheim. My intent for this guide is to impart the knowledge and experience that I have to the other members of this community, so that they can also share the joy of grinding this boss. I'm not a fancy person, so this guide will mostly consist of just text, images and some videos; no fancy headers or graphics, I'm not creative enough for that. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me in-game, or on Discord, and I will be more than happy to answer your questions about this boss. What is AoD? Nex: Angel of Death, or more commonly known as, AoD, is essentialy hard mode Nex. Various mechanics from the original boss have been abstracted and will occur in this fight. If you are familiar with mechanics from the original boss, you will also see them occur during this boss. She is a difficult boss with a very large health pool, but with the correct setup and team, she becomes extremely easy to take down. Those who defeat her gain a chance at obtaining various coveted rewards. Praesul codices, which unlock T99 prayers, T92 Mage Dual Wield, and cosmetic chests are potential loot that you can obtain for taking down this boss. Kills last roughly 3 minutes. Mechanics Recommended Setup Frequently Asked Questions Q: Can I do AoD with you? A: Of course! Well, that actually depends. The bare minimum requirements are listed above. People are generally willing to teach the boss, even in learner/10 man teams, but you have to have the minimum gear requirements. Kills get increasingly frustrating when gear requirements are not met, so there is a standard that has to be kept. It is fine if you can only show up with chaotics and Morrigan's gear. Showing up with extremely low level gear, no overloads, low summoning is not fine. Q: I meet these requirements and am willing to learn. How do I get into a kill? A: Teams are generally formed at random times of the day. If you see that a team is going and you meet the requirements, feel free to ask to join, and generally you will be able to come if the team isn't already massive(10+ people) Q: What is entangle? What is a base tank? A: Entangle is what we colloquially refer to people who are designated to entangle the reavers(self-explanatory) during the boss fight. The entangle role is also synonymous to the term "Minion Tank", as they will also pull the aggro of the minions during the kill. The base tank is the person who provokes Nex at the start of the fight, and holds her aggro for the entire kill. The base tank is responsible for properly luring Nex during the final phase. Q: Why can't I re-enter the fight after I die/exit the arena? A: If you leave the arena after the kill has been started, either via death or TPing out, you will not be able to re-enter the arena and you will forfeit loot for that kill. You may re-enter the arena and watch from above, but you cannot participate after leaving. Q: A minion is attacking my base tank. How do I aggro it away? A: Target the minion, equip a Rots shield, go to your armor tab, right click the shield and click provoke. Minions can stun and combo the base tank to death if left alone. If you are a designated minion tank, or even just a dps, please be sure to take aggro off the base tank ASAP. Basing already hurts, we don't need more stuff hitting us. Q: What happens if I bomb mid? A: Bombs during the final phase will persist through death. If you happen to accidentally bomb mid one or twice while learning the mechanic, that is fine. Just be more aware in the future of your location when placing the bombs. Repeatedly bombing mid with the intent to grief is the fastest way to get kicked from a team. Example Kills Day 1 3:14 Kill: https://streamable.com/iezfg1 Day 4 2:21 Kill, Current Server Record: https://streamable.com/nm8iaz Change Log and To Do List 9/5/2021: Guide written and published 9/6/2021: Screenshots of red orbs and ice prison special added. Added gear setups. Added FAQ section. Added media section for example kills. To Do: Write a detailed Entangle and Base Tank section, provide more kill examples. Fix typos

  26. Welcome to the Player Owned Ports Guide. In this guide I will show you briefly how to start out on Player Owned Ports, for those who are curious about the mini-game, and how to be able to get your hands on PoP Armour. Also note that you can see players inside the Ports itself, unlike RS3. REQUIREMENTS TO START You need atleast level 90 or higher in five of these skills: Agility, Construction, Cooking, Divination, Dungeoneering, Fishing, Herblore, Hunter, Prayer, Runecrafting, Slayer or Thieving. HOW TO GET THERE Start off by doing CTRL+T, Portal at home or clicking on your Home teleportation (found at your minimap, also see pictures below, click the button inside the purple square). After you will get up the Velheim Teleportation Menu, you want to click on the map as in the little purple square, and then proceed by clicking on the Player-Owned Ports teleport shown on the left side in the first purple rectangle shown in the picture below. Then for the the last teleport click on the Teleport now option, which is found in the second purple rectangle, which is also shown down in the same picture below. After you will be teleported next to the Port portal, located in Port Sarim. Proceed by clicking Enter on the Port portal. Then you will arrive inside the Player Owned Ports. Which will look like shown in the picture below, with having your screen zoomed out, you will see abit more than in the picture itself. But this is just ment to show an idea how it looks like when you come inside. THE PARTNER To start off Player Owned Ports you want to speak to The Partner, which will give you up to five options. This is your ships, you start out with one, which you can send out, to get more ships requires chimes. I recommend doing ED1 trash runs for chimes, which is where I have gotten most of mine personally. Also when sending our your ships, you have five options to choose from, which is shown below. Longer time, less success you have. But you do have alot more chance of getting better and more rewards, from choosing a longer time option. THE NOTICEBOARD By clicking The Noticeboard you will get the option like shown below, which says what you have. Plate which is for the Tetsu Armour and Weapons (katana and wakizashi), Lacquer which is for the Death Lotus Armour and Weapon (dart), Chi Globe which is used for the Seasingers Armour and Weapons (kiba and makigai). Last is Chimes which is used to buy more ships (up to five in total and since you already have one unlocked, you can buy four ships), the Reefwalker's cape and the Leviathan ring. Also for the Ports Score, you will get more from sending out ships in general. THE TRADER From The Trader, there is three options. The first one is to check your Loyalty titles, which you will get from sending out ships. The second options gives you an option to trade your Plates, Lacquer or Chi Globes for more chimes, which I do not recommend unless you have alot of them. However I do recommend doing ED1 trash runs for Chimes. For the third and last option, is where you can buy all the Player Owned Ports gear and weapons, for Chimes, Plates, Lacquer or Chi Globes. There is also upgrade kits used for Tetsu and Seasinger versions, which you can get from doing ED1 trash runs, as I have mentioned. They are called Seasinger weapon upgrade kit, normally these would only work for the Seasinger weapons, but these also works for the Tetsu weapon upgrades on Velheim. For the Superior version of a Player Owned Ports armour piece, you can upgrade their Head slot, Body slot or Leg slot with using the item on The Trader, Head pieces cost 1,000 Chimes, Body pieces cost 2,100 Chimes and Leg pieces costs 1,600 Chimes per. Gloves and Boots is already in their Superior versions when bought. LAST TOUCH For the last touch, I do recommend having the VOC Voyager game perk, which costs 400 Velheim Coins, however this isn't needed. The perk gives ships a 20% increased return chance and also 15% increased rewards chance. To find this game perk go to "Quest Journals -> Game Perks -> VOC Voyager". Click the little square shown at the bottom of the picture (with the three blue persons and the white question mark, which you can find next to the other tabs), then proceed by clicking on game perks, then scroll all the way down and the VOC Voyager will be the fifth last game perk, shown in the pictures below. I hope that this guide for Player Owned Ports has helped you out.I WILL BE UPDATING THIS GUIDE TIME TO TIME, IF NEEDED.

  29. Basic Clue Setup Guide For Efficiency A simple guide to show my setup for clue efficiency, because I see this question quite often in FC/PM. 31. Clans Corrected the clan forum thread ID's, they can now be set and clicked on to correctly browse the clan's forum topic (if any); You can now place down Clan Vexillum's in most areas. The Vexillums can be clicked on to view the Clan's details. Only one can be placed down at any time, they will disappear if removed, or, if the player who placed it down logs out; The Keywords option has been added. It can be used to enter clan keywords, ie. 'PVP, PVM, Best clan 2021, Events' etc.; Dungeoneering Fixed un-attack-able NPC's (over ledges, barriers, etc); Fixed an issue that would lock the player indefinitely if 2 players opened the same skill door at the same time; Miscellaneous Added a new teleport option to the Misc. section: Grand Exchange; Replaced Home's Well with the actual Well of Good Will that Jagex uses; Added the new missing item 'packs' to stores. Also added the missing Summoning store at Gu'Tanoth; Squeal of Fortune promotion You can now once again obtain various chests: Experience chest, Skilling chest, Protean chest and Animation chest; Experience chest contains various different kind of Experience lamps normally unobtainable from the Squeal; Skilling chest contains various token boxes, feathers, springs, pulse cores, dummies and portables; Protean chest contains various protean items; Animation chest contains various Animation Overrides, including walk overrides normally unobtainable by other means; Fixes Macbook users may now enjoy playing Velheim on OpenGL, maximum graphics; Fixed a few formatting issues related to GIM group joining.

  32. Distractions and Diversions Guthixian Cache will now run every hour on the hour (same as in RuneScape); Warbands will now run on the same exact times as in RuneScape. You can now use this: https://runescape.wiki/w/Wilderness_Warbands#Timing to keep track of when the next one will start; Easter Event As Easter's just around the corner (I completely forgot!), I've reused last years event; Egg Thief's will spawn randomly around every player and drop their stolen eggs; Pick the eggs up obtain Pilfered Easter Eggs that will automatically be put into your backpacks; The Egg's can then be used at the Easter Bunny who's located at ::home; Logging in during the Event will automatically unlock all Easter-themed emotes and music tracks; Miscellaneous Lots and lots of server improvement work. This relates from small object cleaning tasks for GC, to server game threads that handle everything. Velheim is growing, there's no doubt about it, so I'll be improving how the game runs on a daily basis now; Added a teleport option for the Invention Guild under Miscellaneous section; A lot of Lucy's Untradeable items have had their quest level requirements added; Fixes Miasmic burst/barrage spells can now hit multiple targets; The Elite Dungeon chest will now auto-convert noted item drops into un-noted versions when added inside; Legendary Pets will no longer be able to pick-up items that it cannot reach, it will now also no longer pick-up items that YOU dropped; Celestial Handwraps can now only be received when on Slayer task (Celestial dragon, Dragon cluster-task); Elite Dungeon instances will no longer destroy if they're not empty (player(s) inside still), this means you will not be able to start a new Elite Dungeon instance if the last one you joined is still going.

  34. This guide will focus purely on XP rates and assumes you have level 99 in all skills and all Velheim perks. If you would rather AFK and have a more relaxed journey to 200M, try my AFK guide. XP rates listed are rough estimates of RS3 base rates. Multiply them by your game mode rate (2/5/50/200) to estimate yours. Feel free to message me in-game for any questions. 35. Nothing much, just a few touch-ups before I start on something bigger. Miscellaneous changes You will no longer be able to disassemble Invention items directly from your inventory if you don't have access to the Invention skill; You will no longer be able to harvest/check-health Farming patches if you do not have the required Farming level to do so; Moved around some NPC's and Objects around the main home area; Removed the additional Help clan chat channels and the ability to speak between them. I want only 1 help channel to be active and heavily moderated to only include actual questions rather than the 'every-day' conversations there; The Beach Event has been disabled and removed; Prepared code for the August 12th Triple EXP event; Miscellaneous fixes The world message of completing all achievement diaries has now been moved to the actual task finish method, this makes it so the message only appears once; House Drakan boots now have a correct Trivia point value; Corrected bonus EXP removal, it should now only remove the base bonus EXP before any multipliers apply. 32-bit client removal I'll be dropping support for 32-bit devices very soon, any new players will no longer be able to download that client starting now. Reason being I'd like to focus more on flexibility and stability of the client, giving the player more options to work with. This would potentially include a custom JVM argument box for the launcher that the player could edit, essentially allowing to customise Java's start-up arguments (GC, RAM, Logging, etc).

  38. Archaeology You will no longer be able to receive free unlimited Centurion Seals from Dr. Nabanik while completing the Mystery, he'll only be able to hand out one once per 5 minutes if you end up destroying your existing one; Elite Dungeons Hopefully fixed the annoying issue where your familiar would count you (the player) as 2 separate entities while in Shadow Reef boss fights (I tested this on local and it seemed to be good!); Shops/Point Stores It's been a long over-due since I did anything to our custom shops (Loyalty, Trivia, Vote, Prestige), and they have become very stale. So here's what's been done: Loyalty point store: - Removed Bonds as possible buy option. This brought in too many as people simply ALT-scaped for them; - Added the Prison Uniform outfit. Can be stored via Diango; Vote point store: - Added the Tokkul-Zo. It can be stored via Diango, used to teleport around the TzHaar city, and boosts damage by 10% against all TzHaar NPC's (combat uses charges, can be repaired at Bob); - Added Asylum Doctor's ring, Asylum Surgeon's ring and Asylum Surgeon's ring (i). They have a chance that some specific NPC's will drop Undercooked mystery meat that heals 15% of your maximum hitpoints, a 10% chance of not using any special attack at all (30 second cool-down), and a 40% chance of saving 25% of a special attack's original cost. These rings must be purchased in order and can be stored via Diango; Trivia point store: - Added Bronze/Silver/Gold torches (must be bought in order). They have their own unique emote from the right-click menu, and can be stored via Diango; - Added Bronze/Silver/Gold Athlete outfits (must be bought in order). They reduce players total weight, and can be stored via Diango; - Added Diamond hat and Diamond scepter. They have their own unique emote from the right-click menu, and can be stored via Diango; - Added the Avalani and Investigator's outfits. They can be stored via Diango; - Added the Magnifying glass. It has its own unique emote from the right-click menu, and can be stored via Diango; - Added Fox, Chicken and Grain items from the Recruitment drive quest; - Added the Bomber jacket and hat. They can be stored inside the armour case of the costume room in a player-owned house; - Added Cloak of Might, Cloak of Talent and Cloak of Proficiency. They are cosmetic overrides, and can only be purchased when the player has voted for at least 100/250/1000 times; Misc. - Added the new missing shops around Gielinor: Honest Jimmy's House of Stuff, Smithing Smith's Shop; Miscellaneous Sped-up the Divine Location resource gathering actions; A lot of the Animation walk Overrides will no longer display IF you have unsheathed weapon/shield equipped (or cosmetically overriden); Populated the Draynoy Manor with NPC and Item spawns; Telos loot will now note it-self for Ultimate Ironmen when claiming rewards. The Bank All option will also rename itself to 'Take All' to better represent what will happen when clicked; Fixes Your Bounty Emblems will now reset their potential when it gets upgraded to the next tier; The Vengeance other spell may now be cast on other players; Marthin the Master Gardener can now be pick-pocketed. Increased Master Farmer fail pick-pocket stun time to 5 seconds (same as RS); Boss Instance max player setting has been adjusted so the instance always has room for its creator (ie. if instance's max player setting is 2, the creator then exits the instance, only 1 extra person will be able to enter that instance always leaving 1 spot for the creator); Invention Machines will no longer go through ALL item slots in their storage every hour, it was only supposed to be first item on list that is possible to execute (multiplied by however many hours you've been offline); Hopefully fixed the issue of Glacor's doing some wonky stuff with their minions.

  39. I'll just throw a few points of my own, some based upon the PMs I generally receive. Transparency: I've received plenty of PMs from too many players wondering why bosses do more dmg, or they ask if drop rates have been lowered the next day - because they get changed without notice. Content: I have no doubts that you probably have a few ideas in mind with the recent revision update, and I think this ties into the above point. Let us know what you're working on - get us excited. Better yet, start up a public Trello board. Let the community see what projects you're working on in the meantime. Edit: Hard Mode Bosses: I personally think that all bosses should have hard-modes implemented. Hard Mode Bosses would have higher HP, higher defences, deal more damage - and have more rewards, hell - you could even give them abilities since you have that now. They would have a higher DR% for what they already drop, but added on: Component Crates for those specific bosses. Armadylean Component Crates would provide Invention Components which would be gained by disassembling any of the main drops from Armadyl, and these Crates would be tradeable. Events: Some of the events recently held have been insane, such as the KOTS event, and the previous Boardhunter Event. Now, I don't want to see events running 24/7. The Boardhunter, and KOTS events were held 2 months apart, and that left some downtime in the middle. Give us some random stuff in-between, such as (possibly); Slayer weekends: Login msg: "Slayer Masters are reporting that monsters all over Gielinor are being unnaturally rewarding!". Slayer Task Monsters provide x% Bonus EXP, x% Higher DR and/or x% Increased GP on kill - and have an increased respawn speed. GWD1 & 2 weekends: Login msg: "The gods have provided blessings upon their representatives, they return to battle faster and are even more rewarding!". All GWD bosses affected with a x% higher drop rate, public rooms are defaulted to "Extreme" respawn speeds so people can group together for bossing again. Skilling weekends: Login msg: "The remnants of Guthix have allowed natural resources to flourish, you earn more experience, and can gain more resources during this time!". x% Bonus EXP in non-combat related skills (so no combat skills nor slayer, summoning, and dungeoneering), x% chance to gain an extra resource which is automatically "porter'ed" (without providing the EXP for it) - not applied to Divine Locations. Bossing weekends: Login msg: "It seems that the most dangerous of bosses that are unaffiliated with the gods, have somehow become more bountiful!". All bosses excluding GWD1&2, are affected with x% Higher DR. Rewards: From what I could find; the Oddments store hasn't been touched since at least September, the last changes to the Vote Shop, and the Trivia shop were in August of last year. Players like "new things", whether it comes as content, or as rewards from the already existing sub-rewards - they just want "new". Don't forget; you still have my document pinned on Discord - if you need ideas for rewards, you have that available. Announcements: Let players show off their achievements, we already have announcements for Maxing, Comping, Achievement Diaries etc; give us Collection Log completion announcements. If somebody has been grinding KBD for 3000 kills to get the pet and complete the log, let them show it off with that announcement. Sure it's only there for a little bit of time, but people enjoy recognition for their achievements. Advertisement: I cannot express how, almost strange it was - seeing the prize pool of the KOTS, compared to how little it was advertised. I understand that you want to give back to your players, and I'm not saying that the prize pool should have been less, but the opportunity for getting more players was insane, if only it had been advertised more whether it was; through YouTubers, updating the Rune-Server thread, banners on top list websites, etc.. then there would probably have been some pretty decent growth. Most servers give out in-game rewards & prizes when they do events, I've never heard of an owner of a server putting up over $4K, of real money, as rewards for an in-game event and in my opinion, that is what makes you stand out compared to others. Sand, you have an absolute gem of a server. It must be hard having to ask something like this from your community, because you are the one that has built it from the ground up. Your hard work has paid off, and will continue to pay off, and all of us want to see it stay successful. This is a step in the right direction. tldr; TRANSPARENCY, more active smaller events, more advertising on large events, new rewards in existing shops, collection log announcements, edit: hard mode bosses

  40. ~Come one, come all! The Velheim Team would like to officially introduce you to our largest in-game event yet, King Of The Skill!~ THE FIRST KING OF THE SKILL HAS NOW CONCLUDED! Where, and when? This event takes place in-game - you can find the downloads to our varied clients here. It begins on 18/06/2021 at 8PM server time, and concludes at the same time on 03/07/2021. How the event works All users participating must create new accounts with a specified gamemode in order to compete in this event. Similar to RuneScape Leagues, this event will pit you against other players, competing for the highest total level and experience. These accounts will have restricted access to our game; they will not be allowed to interact with accounts that are not participating in the event, meaning you're not allowed any outside help. These accounts have a 5x experience modifier as well as a 0% drop-rate increase. All statistics will be able to be tracked via the use of our official Velheim hiscores. The event will run for a total of two weeks, but extensions may apply in the event of server issues, at which point the event will be extended subject to the amount of downtime that the server experienced Event Rules and Regulations 1 - You must follow all of the Velheim rules found here. 2 - You're not allowed to abuse exploits to get further ahead in the event (for example, bugs that you discover.) Those found breaching this rule will have their account removed from the competition and permanently banned. 3 - You will not be able to interact with other players (Ironman restrictions apply). 4 - Mystery Boxes, Squeal of Fortune and Grand Exchange will be disabled. 5 - After the event concludes, your account will be reverted to regular ironmen. 6 - Account sharing is strictly forbidden. If caught, both perpetrators (or however many abuse this) will be permanently banned from the game. 7 - If players gain the maximum amount of experience possible in all skills - the winners will be determined by their prestige levels (and total final EXP in case of same prestige/total levels). 8 - All store purchases (donations) will be disabled to level the playing field for all players. However, bonds (and game perks) will still be available to obtain via in-game methods. 9 - Donation transfers will not be available for the new gamemode accounts. This also includes perk gifting through the game perks interface as well as gifting bonds! Prizes (The first three winners will receive an exclusive 'King of the Skill' title in-game as well as the exclusive Treborn pet. These rewards will be put on the winners main account of choice.) First Place - $2,000 USD or Velheim Coins Second Place - $1,000 USD or Velheim Coins Third Place - $500 USD or Velheim Coins Achievement Rewards Most Boss Pets - $150 USD or Velheim Coins Most Skilling Pets - $150 USD or Velheim Coins Most Unique Items in Collection Log - $150 USD or Velheim Coins Most Wealth Accumulated - $150 USD or Velheim Coins Edits: The event ends on 3rd of July, 8PM server time (extended due to early server issues) King of the Skill game-mode accounts will be reverted to regular Ironman; from there players will be able to de-iron and choose either Novice or Regular mode if they wish to do so

  41. Greetings Dear Velheimers! It might be the leftover Velheim coins, your extreme wealth or perhaps you're like Jeff bezos (rich, with a broken and cheap Honda, loving the grind). Doesn't matter, we all love showing off our achievements and fashion. Lucky for you, I'm presenting you this EXACT opportunity. This competition is simple. It's all about mere creativity. Post your favourite fashion outfit below. (You may only include one outfit, if you post several different outfits you may deem yourself disqualified. You can however post several photos of the same outfit, assuming it got different angles). When deciding a winner, I'll be looking at creativity and which environment the character is in. REWARDS First Place: Santa Hat Second Place: Perks worth 2500 Velheim coins (Assuming you win, and have most perks, 20 bonds will be given) The winner will be announced the 4th of May. If you got any questions, feel free to contact me in-game. BEST OF LUCK!

  43. The ninja log might look big, but there's nothing game-changing in here. Lots of quality of life & fixes mainly. This one includes some contents of the previous ninja log: https://velheim.com/community/index.php?/topic/1750-n A full update log can be expected sometime early February! Upgraded cache revision to 916 (latest RS update from 01/25/2021 (credits to https://www.rune-server.ee/members/excl150/ from rune-server for providing the updater patch)). For best performance it is recommend to re-download the client and delete all existing cache folders! The cache folders can be located in your: User folder -> 'VelheimRSPScache' Archaeology Increased the chance at which materials are gained when Screening Soil at the Archaeology campus; You can now acquire an 'Invitation box' item from Silvarea, near a chest. The item can be used to teleport to the Empyrean Citadel for multiple Material cache types; Combat - Player Inquisitor's staff, Hexhunter bow and the Terrasaur maul wil now correctly function against the NPC's they were meant to be used for (NPC-class defining is now grabbed directly from the cache); Two-handed weapons second strike will now deal slightly less damage than your current max-hit; Slightly increased the penalty you receive for using higher tier ammunition than your current ranged weapon's tier; Combat - NPC K'ril Tsutsaroth's prayer draining attack will now do soft typeless damage (up to 661 damage), used when target player has prayers active, plus the attack will drain players prayer in half; Kree'Arra can now randomly move the player around the room (also made her tornado projectiles physically visible); Seeker charms no longer guarantee a Superior Soulgazer's spawn, instead, it'll only increase the chance; Kal'gerion Demons will now follow close and will be able to attack with their melee attacks from a-far; Added another check for when killing Entities; if the killer (most damage outputting entity) ends up as someone's Familiar then the killer would be set to the familiar's owner; Queen Black Dragon's timed attacks will no longer damage the player if: QBD is dead, QBD has finished, player has exited, or player has finished (logged out); GUI Improved on the Heart of Gielinor (GWD2) kill-count overlay: corrected all messed up components, the overlay can now be maximized/minimized, moved it slightly lower so the 'action options' can be seen properly (mouse hover options top-left); Re-designed the 'Action Progress overlay' for it to fit nicely into the top-left corner of your screen; Edited Araxxor's text overlay displaying information about your current fight status so it does not overlap with the buff overlay; Added a privacy mode setting to the extra account settings game tab. Disabling this will no longer allow other players to examine you; The Bank interface should now function much smoother than before; Guthixian Cache Switching game tabs while in the Guthixian cache mini-game will now properly refresh the Quest Journams game tab on re-open; Cache reward boosts will now be doubled if you own the Divinization game perk; Miscellaneous Removed Vorago's public room, instance dialogue's spawn speed options and reduced the instance cost to 250k. Ironmen can now join other player instances since this is a group boss; Items that require divine charge to be augmented (end-game degrade-ables) can now be augmented when the item is in used or broken states; Added a Grand Exchange offer check for transferring donations. Players will have to cancel out all active offers before transferring; Added the Christmas Loot beam token along with the beam it-self activate-able from the beam options in Account Settings interface (Quest Tab); Superior Slayer monsters will now announce as their original NPC's name when: received a rare drop item, increase kill counts; All help friend chat sent messages will be seen in other help chats (ie. being in help 2 will also send your message to help 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.); Increased the War's Retreat boss portal attune coin price to 500k; Removed the numpad ability to load presets as for some reason the key values are the same of the arrow keys; Added Rock Elemental NPC's to the Elemental Workshop. They will be able to drop ALL elemental equipment; Fixes Augmented Inferno adzes may now be used for Mining; Fixed the Dwarf multi-cannon 'instant-break' (forgot to set the timer back from my testing); Nex's minions will now drop their loot 1 tile closer to the middle so the player could pick it up; The Cresbot item can now be 'poked' to unlock the Cresbot pet; Custom-fit trimmed spiked masterwork can now be augmented; Mizuyari can now be repaired with Bob; War's Retreat will no longer teleport you inside the Zaros chamber next to Nex's entrance in the Godwars Dungeon if you do not have a frozen key with charges; Repairing Reaper jewellery will now change the item to its trade-able version if it gets charged to 100%; Manifested Knowledge's will now grant Lamp-based EXP rather than the regular formula (game-mode modifier will still apply to the EXP given); Camo cosmetics (ones from the Random Event) can no longer be traded; Made sure a lot of Diango items no longer conflict with Construction's Costume Room containers; Ironmen may now join other player Elite Dungeon instances; Teleport override tokens are now trade-able; Dungeoneering Puzzle rooms that require player to have a boosted level now properly checks for player's virtual level as well as any boosts obtained from potions; Dragon Trinkets should now correctly note dragon bone drop's, and will no longer work on other 'bones' when killing dragons (ie. big bone drop from RDT will be ignored now); The Enhanced Excalibur will now equip as a shield rather than a weapon; Using teleport spells that do not require any runes will no longer send messages of your runes being saved by any means; The Assist system should now work for most item combination level requirements (let me know if there's more missing); Kurask, Cockatrice & Basilisk heads are no longer trade-able; Woodcutting will now properly check for object's menu options, and will now only class as a Woodcutting option if the object contains a Chop down entry; Noted degrade-able items will no longer break when touching the floor; The Attuned Ectoplasmator will now degrade correctly when out of charges;

  45. Seeing as there's not really an ironman dailies guide and it could be quite daunting at first. I'll put together a list of things that I recommend you do daily/hourly and some tips and tricks to make early game as much of a breeze as possible for you. I'm by no means any good at making guides so it'll basically be a simple list for you to follow. I do not claim that these are the meta methods to advancing your iron but this is what I did and I'm doing decent. Daily Runes run Daily Misc shops. Numerous daily activities you should do. My 2 cents on farmruns Spending Proteans and oddments. Other Noteable shops; Thanks for reading my ted talk, I've probably forgotten a load of things but these combined are the main things you should continue doing. Later on I'll shove up an aoe/trash run ed1 guide so yall can get your easy junk/components for invention.

  48. There is alot of people who asks in general, and I didn't see a guide, so I thought why not add it to the forums. So here is a little guide, and this is simply just a quick way to get to the Travelling Merchant. Spawns every 4 hour, and lasts for 10 minutes. Also I recommend for those who use Discord to check in server-events to check recent spawn. Note that it is required to have a Fishing level of atleast 68 to be able to enter, also can only loot one time per day, even thought you haven't looted before, it won't change the current days stock. Start off by doing CTRL+T, Portal at home or clicking on your Home teleportation (found at your minimap, also see pictures below, click the button inside the purple square). Then it would look something like this, proceed by clicking the purple square which is for the Fishing teleportations. Then next you want to click on the purple rectangle, and then click teleport now, which will teleport you right outside the Fishing guild (see picture below). Then you want to open the gates and follow the purple path, then Goomah should be around the purple circle, or next to the noticeboard ingame. Click travel Goomah to proceed, (like in the picture below). Now you want to follow the purple path again untill you come to the purple circle, (as shown in the picture below). Then it should look something like this, and also I put in a extra picture, just how the shop could look like, (see pictures below). Note that this is random from day to day, and the amount is different aswell. I hope that this guide for how to get to Travelling Merchant has helped you out. I WILL BE UPDATING THIS GUIDE TIME TO TIME, IF NEEDED.

  49. Hey there! It's time for another one of these, recently been feeling quite generous so I'll share my RS wealth with some of you guys - Leave your Velheim in-game username down below to enter the 1'000m (1B) RuneScape gold giveaway, maybe add a small message of how you'd spend the coins? Not needed, but would be neat to see how you guys would spend the gold. - 6 winners (1B GP each) will be chosen by google's random number generator in 72 hours from when this post is published! Duplicate entries will be removed and the user banned from Velheim forums - just don't cheat. P.S. And again, the winners will be able to choose from either - receiving the GP on RS3, or exchanging it for Velheim Coins (100$ worth). Good luck to everyone! Edit: The winners are as follows: 84 - @yonecloud 74 - @w16 93 - @maxie 75 - @Zin 44 - @xTherion gim 107 - @Fuzzey Ignore the first 8, that happens when you open it.
