We will keep repeating this every month - we are forever grateful to everyone who has supported Velheim this month, and for the months to come whether it be monitary, by voting, or just by being here and supporting what my Staff Team and I do. Without you, the players, we wouldn't be where we are today, we wouldn't be have gotten this far. It's thanks to you that I can invest into advertisements, pay off the servers' expenses, and put those contributions straight back into the server. So again, a HUGE thank you - to everyone. Sincerely, ~The Staff Team.
  3. First off.. I'd like to apologise for the long wait for an update! All the festivities during December got me a little lazy , but all of that is now in the past and you can expect slightly more frequent updates from now on! I'll do the 7th Anniversary server stats sometime this upcoming week, need to do some more preparation work for it since we moved from a single world to a lobby (separate login server) system. Velheim's 7th Anniversary! Anniversary Events will start on 20th of January, 12pm server time (tomorrow mid-day!) and last until January 28th, 12:00 AM server time; The events running during this time consist of: - (World 2) A 10% chance to double non-chest NPC drops; - Double Slayer points on task completions; - Double Reaper points on task completions; - Double daily Reaper tasks (the limit will be increased on the next day, the 21st of January); - Boss Instance creation is free of charge; - No Death penalties (your Rings of Death and/or item charges will not degrade); - Double daily Squeal of Fortune spins; Party Pete will also be dropping ballons every hour 25 minutes passed the hour, at every major Lodestone. Popping these ballons will yield random rewards, including some Velheim coins, and Balloon animal pets; Archaeology The Collectors interface will now correctly display the last Collection entry associated with that NPC. Also added sound effects to interface clicks; When examining any Archaeology Mattock it will now display its Precision and Focus, similarly to how pickaxe examining works; The Flow State relic will now stop soil from being added to your inventory while excavating on Material Cache hotspots; The Bait and Switch relic will now transport cooked fish to your bank if you have the Sign of the Porter effect active; Tetracompass caskets will now yield damaged Orthen artefacts rather than the repaired ones, also added the missing Senntisten artefacts to the drop table; The Abyssal Link relic will now visually 'light up' all spellbook teleport spells if you have the Magic level for them; Climbing through the wall opening behind Bandos's Throne in the Warforge! digsite will now auto-complete the 'You have chosen' mystery after you've completed the special research to start it; Regular Research Expeditions will now yield Archaeology EXP, was a mishap in the code always multiplying by 0; All new materials and artefacts *should* now give correct materials and components when disassembled via Invention; Fixed a few incorrect teleport indexes in the Master Archaeologist's Teleport menu; Auras Vis Wax can no longer be used to reset most auras, as stated on the RS Wiki only the Jack of Trades and Wisdom Auras can be reset this way; Trying to reset a non-combat Aura with Soul Reaper's Aura refreshers will now state that they can only be used on combat auras; Vis Wax Aura extension costs have been given flat values based on RS Wiki data, upgraded tiers will no longer be more expensive; Each aura can now only be reset once a day, resetting their limits along with other dailies at 00:00 server time; Each aura can now only be extended once a day, extension limits reset along with other dailies at 00:00 server time; Added a new aura set: Jack of Trades. Gain at least 1 XP in 10 different skills within 3 hours to receive an XP lamp (lamp size based on Aura tier). Once complete, speak to either Xuan, Dilwyn or Wafa to claim the reward; The Aura Management interface will now correctly show the duration and cooldown if the Overclocking perk is owned; Fixed a few incorrect Aura active times; Combat & related AoE attacks will now once again damage all NPC targets despite them having you as a target or not; Wyvern Spines can now be used with any Crossbow; NPC Combat attacks with previously no delay will now happen on the next game tick instead of instantly; Araxxor's reflect attack's will will now be delayed by 3 ticks after he starts his healing mechanic, this will give players a chance to react to it; Switching between weapons will no longer reset your selected Magic auto-cast spell since our combat system checks for player's weapon to determine which combat style to use; Drop Rates (FSW) Since the poll on Discord showed that players want the drop-rate boosts added back to ironnman mode players on the Fresh Start World - I did just that. However, they're slightly modified since EXP rates are unified between all but the classic modes. - Regular and Group Ironmen: +5%, - Hardcore Ironmen: +6%, - Ultimate Ironmen: +8%; (FSW) Global NPC drop rates have now been boosted up to World 2 rates; Ethereal outfits Any full set will now work to travel between islands in Runespan free of charge; 5% chance to double your runes when siphoning in the Runespan, giving twice as much experience (7% chance if infinity ethereal equipped); Any of the Ethereal Hoods will now function as a Wicked Hood (a full set has to be equipped for it to work); Full sets will also work as parts of the Wicked outfit, providing more essence for withdrawal and more teleports to altars; Any full set will now act as Morytania Legs if you have them unlocked for the Blood Rune yield increase when creating them at the Blood Altar; Any of the Ethereal Bodies can now store an additional 12 pure essence, which will get automatically used up when crafting runes (same as regular Runecrafting pouches (needs full set to function)). Loading a bank preset with the outfit equipped will also auto-fill the body with pure essence if your bank contains any; Globetrotter outfit All outfit pieces will now auto-scale their levels when equipped depending on your Defence level. Also made sure Diango will correctly store the new ID's, and all of them are functional interaction-wise; Up to 1,000 Teleport scrolls may now be stored in the Globetrotter arm guards. These can then be used to teleport to the location of the respective scroll without actually having the need of scrolls in your inventory; Godwars Dungeon 1 You can now attack Kree'Arra using Melee; Added Hard Mode to all 4 generals in the dungeon; Hard versions will have new mechanics, more hitpoints, higher damage outputs and higher stats; On death, they have an increased drop-rate and will roll their whole loot table x2 times; Hardmode versions of the Bosses have their own kill-counts, kill-times and leaderboard entries; Godwars Dungeon 2 Gregorovic: basic attacks now strike twice, and will corrode away his targets antipoison effect (if any); Vindicta: fire lines are now slightly delayed so the player has time to move away, and they can now also be spawned infinitely (previously it had a hard cap of 2 lines), though this doesn't actually change anything mechanic-wise; Added Hard Mode to all 4 generals in the dungeon; Hard versions will have new mechanics, more hitpoints, higher damage outputs and higher stats; On death, they have an increased drop-rate and will roll their whole loot table x2 times; Hardmode versions of the Bosses have their own kill-counts, kill-times and leaderboard entries; Monthly Top supporters Added a Monthly Top Voters box. This reward box will be given to the top 5 voters of the month, and will contain: coins, Velheim coinns, loyalty points and a 25% chance to receive either a Christmas Cracker or one of the Partyhats; Added a Monthly Top Donators box. This reward box will be given to the top 5 donators of the month, and will contain: Velheim coins, loyalty points, unlock the 'Top Supporter' Loyalty title and a chance at non-buyable cosmetic overrides, or the golden gnome companion pet; Both of these boxes are trade-able both in the regular trade screen and the Marketplace/Grand Exchange; Top Donators and Top Voters are now automatic. I've added a script for this purpose that runs every month, at exactly 06:00 (6am) website time which will store the top #5 of both lists. Players will then be able to claim their boxes from the NPC 'Miles' at the home area; Even though the process is now automated, I will still be posting the Top's every month (when I can, of course) in a forum thread as I've always done in the past; The rewards are subject to change, some can be removed, new can be added. We'll just see how it goes in production; December's top voters and donators can already talk to Miles to claim their boxes; Miscellaneous Slightly changed how the Leaderboards interface functions by separating normal and hard-mode kills via different buttons instead of adding new 'BOSS_NAME (hm)' entries as keys. Also made it recolor some button texts to make it more clear which one was selected; Added the full dialogue to: Xuan, Dilwyn and Wafa NPC's; Examining a Boss pet will now display the pet owners normal and hard-mode kills separately if the boss has a hard mode version; Sometimes I keep forgetting Velheim is a private server, so, here are some fun small random changes: - Runecrafting will now yield *5 runes per essence (this stacks with all other multipliers); - Most trees will now last much longer before 'depleting' for the Woodcutting skill (including regular ones); - Divination Wisps will now last much longer before disappearing; - You can now disassemble for up to 100 item actions before clicking again (upped from default 60); - Both Low and High level Alchemy spells are now automatic, and will cast themselves until you run out of the item to alch, runes, or 100 alch's have been done; - Blessing Sand at a Saradomin Altar will now do 5 sand per action, and up to 100 times per click; - Archaeology material caches will now last much longer before depleting; Fixes If a Vorago challenger cannot survive the initial blast, they will now get teleported out of the cave with a messaging saying so instead of an instant death; The Crystallise Ancient spellbook spell will now send a progress bar on the Fishing Spot itself AND the underlying NPC to make sure it does appear in all case scenarios; Fixed an issue with the Marketplace not displaying items properly if a slot other than the last was bought out fully; Having the Grace of the Elves equipped will now half the Prayer drain rate for: Light Form, Superheat Form and Chronicle Attraction Curses; Transfering MTX via Darude will no longer reset free Cosmetics players receive by default; The mainhand 'Suitcase' Clue Scroll reward can now be stored in your player-owned house; Purchasing the Chameleon's Extract from the Solomon's General Store will no longer add an additional 3$ towards your total contributed, it will only add the 3$ when the item is actually used; The Invention Guild's Machines will now work correctly while offline, as well as fixed an issue with items being 'processed' more than once in some scenarios; Fixed the incorrect Tree Stumps at the Incandescent Wisp colony; You should now be able to right-click 'Select-destination' on all Fairy Rings which have the option on them; The Fishing outfit can now be stored with Diango; Elder Trove's will now give noted Extreme Ranging potions (3); Butterfly catching with a net equipped will now ignore the Agility level requirement, but will require the actual net equipped and empty butterfly jars in inventory present; Any type of cat or kitten will now work for the Falador Achievement Diary entry: Kitty Litter; The Fountain in Nardah is now flowing with water, and the 'Fill' option on it will now work correctly to fill your empty water containers; All Tirannwn object and NPC options should now be functioning correctly; Attuning the Prifddinas combat portal to TzKal-Zuk will actually bring you to Zuk now; Dave's Spellbook will now correctly reflect the number of chipped tablets you've stored in it; Both Queen Sigrid versions in Miscellania will now work for the Treasure Trail step that requires you to talk to her, as well as buying the dialogue to buy a Balmung from her; New accounts will no longer receive the "Your Discord link has been revoked" and the lingering "Velheim pass new missions!" messages. Media

Train Gathering Skills (Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, Farming, Hunter). Train Artisan Skills (Herblore, Crafting, Smithing, Cooking, Firemaking). Train Support Skills (Agility, Slayer, Thieving, Dungeoneering). Complete clue scrolls for a chance at a shard drop. Defeat monsters of at least combat level 75 for a drop chance. Participate in these mini-games: Castle Wars, Pest Control, Stealing Creation and Soul Wars (the more thaler it awards - the higher chance to obtain it). Once you’ve collected 8 shards, return to the Wise Old Man, and he’ll transform them into your very own Golden Party Hat! ------ The event will run until 23rd of December (excluded).

The book can then be used to 'Teleport with' and will use up that stored tablet; Also added the 'Read' option, which tells a little more about how Dave ended up discovering the chipped tablets; Added Doris and her full dialogue; Godwars 1 Kill-counts will no longer reset when re-entering the area and will be saved throughout logins; The maximum kill-count you can store for each faction is: 50; The kill-count overlay (and its mechanics) will now properly trigger when inside boss rooms, this means you'll be able to earn the 25 kill-count requirement AGAIN in the boss room itself; Removed the "is under combat" check when praying at the Altar in each boss room; Ore Box Ore boxes can now be used to store Stone Spirits of any kind; Stone spirits stored inside Ore boxes will get used up when Mining just like as if they were in your inventory; Wilderness Mandrith: Players will now only gain half of the Slayer Points on task completion if they opted-out for PvP; Mandrith: Players will now only gain half of the Slayer EXP per NPC killed if they opted-out for PvP; Mandrith: Players will now only gain half of the Emblem Potential on task completion if they opted-out for PvP; These values are at their original values if opted-in, this makes it a nice risk-reward scenario; Dieing in the Wilderness while opted out of PvP will no longer count it as a PvP death, and will no longer drop your items on the ground; The pocket slot item will now be correctly accounted for when 'dropped items on death' is calculated; Miscellaneous Changed the Construction EXP Players receive when adding Wrapping Paper to the Giant Christmas Cracker at home by /10. This aura can only be used during the month of December, granting +50% base EXP for 30 minutes every 24 hours; Your Hitpoints gauge near the minimap will now turn green if you're poisoned. Christmas Cracker, Well of Good Will, Kharid'et Pylons, etc.).
  11. Just as an FYI, moving forward I will no longer call smaller updates Ninja Logs and just post an update log of whatever I have at the time of restarting. This will cause less confusion amongst players not tuning in for ninjas, and it'll make it easier for me to track what's what! ------------- Bank Items are once again interactable in the banking menus (both regular and group ironman); Bank Boosters can once again be used to increase your maximum bank capacity; Cosmetics Purchasing Cosmetic Overrides will now instantly refresh the Velheim Coin counter in the Squeal of Fortune game-tab; Token-based and Circus-specific Cosmetic Overrides are no longer purchasable; Made all the Jester Scarves and Hats Cosmetic Overrides instead of physical items; Christmas Event As per every year, gather Wrapping Paper from gaining EXP and help Santa wrap his Giant Christmas Cracker at the home area; Wrapping it up fully will yield rewards based on the amount of paper you've contributed, accompanied with neat little World messages; The very rare rewards table contains: Santa hat, Black Santa hat, Purple Santa hat (a newly added addition!), Christmas Scythe, and a Gift Wrap Scythe; The rare rewards table contains all items from Santa's Reward Shop; The other rewards tables are just fillers (ie. stars, lamps, some random junk), Christmas related food and drinks and some others; You'll also have to have completed the 2009 Christmas Quest to be able to participate (as well as collecting wrapping paper). You can start the quest by entering the Christmas Cupboard located near Santa at home; The Advent Calendar is also now available! Open a 'window' on it each day for a reward! Consecutive opens will yield a bonus reward: the full 'Snowman' Cosmetic Override; Diango Added 'Expiration dates' for codes, this will allow me to better control which codes I want running. Worlds are super tricky to do right, but we'll get there! Reduced the coin amounts you receive from Supply Caches by /2; Added a 'You only need to click once' message when in any of the AFK Zone's skilling actions; Added a 'Toggle as Note' button to the regular Shops menu. When toggled on, any item you buy will get automatically noted; Friends Chat messages sent from the Lobby screen will now appear as 'Lobby' instead of 'World: X'; Fixes MTX transfers are now possible on all worlds, and cosmetic overrides will now transfer alongside other MTX-related things as well; There are no longer 2 Magic Secateurs in May's Caravan, she really only has a single pair for You; Special Item cooldowns (ie. Scripture of Bik, Zaros Godsword, etc.) will now persist throughout logouts (and reset them all daily); Exiting out of Death's Soul Reaper assignment dialogue when more than 1 option is provided will now automatically assign you the first task on the list; Players no longer be able to use Oil's of Enchantment on items you do not have in your inventory; Protean Planks will no longer substitute other planks when Constructing things; The Shards of Zaros and Mah can now be stored with Diango; Warriors Guild Defenders should now drop much more frequently; Since Cursed Wisps are now removed, the Wilderness Achievement Diary entry 'Repressed' will now be auto-completed on the next login; Fixed a few inconsistencies with the Lumbridge Sage's dialogue; Fixed an issue with adding 'X-amount' of Vis Wax to your Quick Teleport charges; Some fixes towards the Vote Boss and its instance, including the use of the 'VMB' command for everyone to teleport to it; Repacked the Orange Halloween Mask, it will no longer appear as a 'null' item; The Discord BOT should now properly set players usernames and roles (I verified that it now actually gets to that code part, previously it was not. However, I'm not 100% sure if it will update, I'll edit this if it works as expected); Having the Search box open while in the Teleportation Menu will no longer teleport you when hitting the spacebar key. Things in the works: I'm aware of the client crashing more frequently issues, and I will be working on fixing them in the upcoming week(s). Need to setup a new launcher as well to include some of the newer JDK libraries; Some NPC animations don't have correct 'sequences', I'm aware of this, and you'll have to bear through while I work on adding support for higher revisions (yes, it's possible, but requires A LOT of work (basically rewriting all drawing mechanics of everything).
  12. Skillcapes Inverted cape tokens may now be used to unlock the Inverted cape token variant; Inverted capes may be toggled on and off under the 'Skillcapes' section of the 'Extra Account Settings' tab. Using tokens will also prompt players on how to toggle this setting. Only hooded variants will display, and there are no 'retro' style inverted ones; The Inverted capes are physical items on RuneScape and are purchaseable after the respective token has been used, decided to simply make it an 'override' in the Player's appearance generator to save bank space; If You're one of the first 50 players to achieve levels 99/120 on your gamemode, you will be able to claim these new tokens from 'Miles' NPC located at home; Our Veteran players will also be able to claim the same tokens from Miles on World 2; The new tokens are only tradeable through the regular trade system, they cannot be used on other players, nor dropped; The 'Detach' option on Hooded Skillcapes will now split the hoods off capes as intended; Purchasing Skillcapes from NPC's or vendors will now automatically attach the hoods onto them. Many players do not know about this feature, plus it saves an extra container slot; 'Max' NPC will now open up the Skillcape shop when trading them; Grand Exchange (FSW Specific) The Grand Exchange has been disabled entirely and a player-owned shop system will be put in place after the initial stages of Fresh Start World concludes (week 5 and up); Miscellaneous Cursed, Ancient spellbook and Lunar spellbook codexes can now be purchased from the Vote Point store (Wise Old Man). The Vital Sparks required to make these codexes have also been halved; And, of course, a hefty amount of internal changes and bug fixes.
  13. Wilderness PvP in the Wilderness is now an 'opt-in/opt-out' scenario, by default the setting will be turned off; Added 'Vala' NPC along with their full dialogue, they'll be able to toggle the PvP setting on and on for you. The remaining Cursed Energy and memories will still function normally for players who're still holding onto any; The teleport block in Wilderness will no longer prevent players from teleporting away above the level 20 wildy mark IF they have not opted-in for PvP; Wilderness entry warnings will no longer display for players not opted in for PvP; All Cosmetic Overrides will function normally in the Wilderness as long as you're opted out for PvP;
  14. These changes will go LIVE once our Fresh Start World launches, and more changes will be added as individual replies to this announcement! Fresh Start World Launch Skill levels AND Boss rooms will be locked depending on the week # after launch, specifics can be seen in the Fresh Start World announcement thread: here ; The first 50 players to reach levels 99 and 120 in each game-mode will receive an inverted skillcape/mastercape token of that respective skill. These tokens can be used to unlock an inverted color cape cosmetic override, or traded to a different account; The players achieving one of the first 50's will also be able to claim those cape tokens on World 2. This addition is targeted to our veteran players who choose to remain on the legacy world; FSW Economy changes These activity rewards have had their coin amounts reduced: Crystal Chest, Wilderness Warband exchange, Evil Tree, Pick-pocketing NPC's, Treasure Trail caskets; Treasure Trail rare item reward chances have been lowered by ~25%. Same goes for the Giant Oyster; Most regular NPC rare item drop-rates have been lowered, but boss pet rates slightly increased; AFK Zone Slightly re-designed the home area to have room for an AFK zone; Players who have voted in the last 24 hours may enter the zone and use its objects; There's a custom object placed in the zone for each of our skills (except base combat ones); Every action grants base 2.5 EXP and 1 x 'Lost token'; Lost tokens can be exchanged for a variety of skilling outfits that were previously only obtained from the Squeal of Fortune; Players in the AFK zone will NOT be kicked to the lobby due to the regular AFK timer; The zone is by no means meant to be used for active training, it is simply a small addition for players who have to do something else in another game or IRL. This way they can still participate in Vote parties, use their silverhawks, gain some passive tokens, etc.; Grand Exchange (FSW Specific) The Grand Exchange has been disabled entirely and a player-owned shop system will be put in place after the initial stages of Fresh Start World concludes (week 5 and up); Player offers that have not seen the offers creator log in for at least 2 weeks will now be hidden, essentially 'disabled' until that player logs in again; Game Modes (FSW specific) The Novice mode has been hidden and will not be able to be selected upon start; (FSW specific) EXP rates have been 'normalized' across the multiple ironman modes; (FSW specific) Drop-rate boosts will no longer be applied to modes that share the normal mode EXP multiplier, only slower EXP rate modes will have those said boosts; New players will now automatically receive a title based on the game-mode they've picked; Group Ironman Added a hint icon for new players hinting at the GIM board; Added 'Journey Tiers' that go up until level 10. Each tier has different requirements to reach, and can be seen in the new 'Achievements' section of the Group Ironman Board. Reaching tier 10 will broadcast a server-wide announcement; Group members may now leave the group whenever they choose to, however, they will not be able to re-join that group later on; Made some slight changes to the group storage similar to how RS3 does it: Automatically close after 5 minutes of being open; Visually removed a few buttons; Storage size will now start at 30 slots, and expand as the group progresses. Everything will function normally for groups with existing storages that exceed this limit, however, they won't be able to store any new items; A lot of untradeable items can now be stored in the storage; Prifddinas The whole area has been made into a special area controller. This doesn't actually change anything content-wise, just makes it easier for me to add/remove/edit things; Added 'Voices of Seren'. These are basically district-specific buffs in Prifddinas that rotate hourly on the hour; The 2 currently active voices will be displayed in a brand new overlay in the top left corner of your screen. Hovering your mouse over any of the icons will show a detailed description of what they do; District Effects - All: 20% extra base experience from pickpocketing the respective workers; An increased chance to find golden rocks in the respective clan's skill. A chance for a crystal impling to spawn at the herald of one of the affected clans (this can happen multiple times during the illumination). District Effects - Cadarn: Upon defeating a Cadarn ranger or magus, 200 Ranged or Magic experience is gained respectively regardless of the combat style used. District Effects - Crwys: 20% more base Woodcutting XP from cutting ivy, magic logs, and yew logs. All bird's nest drops are replaced with crystal geode, though this does not require 94 woodcutting. 20% more base Farming XP from planting, checking, and harvesting from the bush, herb and elder tree patches. Crops in the district also have a chance of skipping growth stages. A chance to spawn a Guthixian butterfly when harvesting from or checking the health of crops in the district. District Effects - Hefin: 20% more base Agility XP whilst training agility on the Hefin Agility Course. While doing laps on the Hefin Agility Course, an additional 25% of base Agility experience is gained in the Prayer skill for each action performed. Experience boosts, such as bonus experience and the first age set do work. Hefin course multipliers also grant additional Prayer XP. 20% more base Prayer XP from cleansing the Corrupted Seren Stone. District Effects - Iorwerth: Upon defeating an Iorwerth guard or scout, 100 Attack and Strength experience is gained regardless of the combat style used. District Effects - Ithell: 20% more base Crafting and Construction XP from training using the harps. The harps have a significantly lower chance of losing tune while playing. 20% more base Crafting XP from crafting crystal flasks. 50% chance for each mined soft clay to be transported directly to the player's bank. This takes precedence over sign of the porter effects. District Effects - Meilyr: 20% more base Farming XP from planting and checking the fruit tree patch, and from checking the harmony pillars. Trees planted in the district will have a chance of skipping growth stages. 20% more Herblore XP from making combination potions. District Effects - Trahaearn: 20% more Smithing XP when smelting corrupted ore. At the start of the hour, each ore rock, excluding gem rocks, has a 1/15 chance of being replaced by a dark or light animica rock. The replaced rock will remain in the world until the end of the hour. 20% chance to award extra ore when mining rocks in the district. 20% more base Farming XP from planting and checking the tree patch, as well as a chance of the tree skipping growth stages. Senntisten (GWD3) & Related Pontifex Observation rings can now be made at an Archaelogy workbench by combining a pontifex signet ring with a blank observation purchased from May's Caravan. This ring provides Tier 1 luck, +1% Divination EXP and Increased Chronicle Fragment spawn rates; If you've made an observation ring and have lost it, it can be reclaimed from Ariane in Kharid-Et, near the Praetorium War table; Pontifex Shadow rings can now be made at an Archaeology workbench by combining the previously made observation ring with a cut dragonstone. This ring provides Tier 2 luck, +1% Divination EXP, increased Chronicle fragment spawn rates, and the ability to receive Elder Trove drop rolls from activities within Senntisten (GWD3); If you've made a shadow ring and have lost it, it can be reclaimed from Wahisietel in Senntisten Cathedral; The Pontifex Shadow ring can be 'imbued' by right-clicking it (though it'll cost some GP) to make it into an enriched ring. This ring provides Tier 3 luck, +3% Divination EXP, Further increased Chronicle Fragment spawn rates, drop-rate increase in Senntisten (GWD3) as well as the previously mentioned Elder Trove drop rolls; The Shadow ring (and the enchanted version) can be upgraded up to tier 6 by using Resonant Anima (obtained from activities within Senntisten), with each tier providing even more benefits and upgrades than the last. Wahisietel can also overcharge your ring after you've upgraded it to tier 6, which makes it so that you no longer have to have the ring equipped for all effects to take place; Added all Elder Troves of all tiers and their corresponding loot tables. These are basically mystery boxes full of resources obtained from various NPC drops and activities while having the Pontifex Shadow ring on you (or overcharged); Shadow ring upgrade tiers increase the Elder Trove tiers and their drop frequency within Senntisten. At tier 6 you'll also receive +2% EXP, +2% drop-rate for all NPC's and Tier 3 Troves will have a chance to yield Fragments of Pernix's Quiver; A new ammunition slot item has been added: Pernix's Quiver. It can be made by combining 100 of the previously mentioned fragments, can be redyed with any of the basic dyes, can store 2 ammunition types, and has a passive effect that increases Ranged max damage output by +4% against targets under 25% health; Players will start receiving tradeable resonant anima when they've used the initial 1,000 of that type on their shadow ring; MTX Decided to re-add the cosmetic override unlocking directly from the cosmetic overrides interface. Players may once again directly purchase any override (sets or individuals) with Velheim Coins (as long as its not an event, token item, or a special outfit); (FSW specific) Ironmen can no longer use the Squeal of Fortune, nor earn or receive any spins for it; (FSW specific) The Solomon's General Store might be removed, still thinking of a better way to handle all the items that are inside of it; Skillcapes Inverted cape tokens may now be used to unlock the Inverted cape token variant; Inverted capes may be toggled on and off under the 'Skillcapes' section of the 'Extra Account Settings' tab. Using tokens will also prompt players on how to toggle this setting. Only hooded variants will display, and there are no 'retro' style inverted ones; The Inverted capes are physical items on RuneScape and are purchaseable after the respective token has been used, decided to simply make it an 'override' in the Player's appearance generator to save bank space; If You're one of the first 50 players to achieve levels 99/120 on your gamemode, you will be able to claim these new tokens from 'Miles' NPC located at home; Our Veteran players will also be able to claim the same tokens from Miles on World 2; The new tokens are only tradeable through the regular trade system, they cannot be used on other players, nor dropped; The 'Detach' option on Hooded Skillcapes will now split the hoods off capes as intended; Purchasing Skillcapes from NPC's or vendors will now automatically attach the hoods onto them. Many players do not know about this feature, plus it saves an extra container slot; 'Max' NPC will now open up the Skillcape shop when trading them; Vote System Added a new 'event' that triggers every 1,000 server votes - the Vote Boss (formerly known as the Giant Mimic); Once the vote threshold has been reached players will have 2 minutes to prepare for it (accompanied with a world broadcast), and able to teleport directly to it via new command ';;vmb' (vote manager boss); The bosses hitpoints will scale according to the total players online, and everyone who has dealt at least some damage to it will receive drop rolls; The boss area is safe for Hardcore ironmen, and is a 'public boss room' in regards of 'Boss Instancing'; Wilderness PvP in the Wilderness is now an 'opt-in/opt-out' scenario, by default the setting will be turned off; Added 'Vala' NPC along with their full dialogue, they'll be able to toggle the PvP setting on and on for you. Vala can be found in Edgeville, near the small bridge leading to the Grand Exchange shortcut tunnel; Removed hobgoblin spawns in the hobgoblin mines (level 35 wildy); Added Abyssal Demon spawns South of the Hobgoblin Mines; Removed Blue Dragon spawns West of the Hobgoblin Mines, and replaced them with Dark Beasts; Removed all old NPC spawns in the Lava Maze, replaced them with Hellhounds and Ripper Demons spawns; Removed poison spiders and greater demons from the Lava Maze dungeon, and replaced them with more Ripper Demon spawns; Added even more Ripper Demon spawns West of Demonic Ruins; Removed Ice Giant and Ice Warrior spawns in Ice Plateau, and placed a few Glacor spawns between Ice Plateau and West Lava Maze gates; Added Soulgazert spawns North-West of the Charming Moth Hunter area; Removed Red Spider spawns North of the Lava Maze and replaced them with Hydrix Dragons; Removed all Deep Wilderness Dungeon NPC spawns, replaced them with Dragonstone, Onyx and Hydrix Dragons; Added Acheron Mammoth spawns on West and East sides of the Agility course; Added a lot of Hellhound spawns all around the Wilderness; The Cursed Wisp crater and Cursed Wisp NPC spawns have been removed entirely. The remaining Cursed Energy and memories will still function normally for players who're still holding onto any; The teleport block in Wilderness will no longer prevent players from teleporting away above the level 20 wildy mark IF they have not opted-in for PvP; Wilderness entry warnings will no longer display for players not opted in for PvP; All Cosmetic Overrides will function normally in the Wilderness as long as you're opted out for PvP; Miscellaneous Added a simple dialogue message upon logging in reminding players that they can vote; The Battle Pass has been removed entirely. I might return to it at some point in the future if players do actually want it, but it did more bad than good in the long run with the fear of missing out daily shenanigans; Lucy, the untradables store, has been replaced by 'May', from May's Caravan. Players will be able to buy all quest items directly from her (note: coin and total level requirements will still have to be met to purchase items); Changed the starter package new players receive; The Giant Mimic has been put to rest. Players will no longer be able to receive kill tokens to enter its lair either; The 'Notes' game-tab has been removed, and will be re-purposed in the future for a different functionality; Added the War's Retreat Boss hiscore signpost to most Boss entry rooms, the GUI in each location will attempt to automatically select that boss room's hiscores; Solved a couple issues with Castle Wars freezing the whole server, and re-enabled the mini-game. Fingers crossed no more issues; Players that are AFK for longer periods of time will be sent to the lobby screen; (FSW specific) Prestiging is no longer a thing on the new world. I'm not happy with how the original system turned out to be, so I might return it with fresh changes IF players want it; Cursed, Ancient spellbook and Lunar spellbook codexes can now be purchased from the Vote Point store (Wise Old Man). The Vital Sparks required to make these codexes have also been halved;
  15. Introducing FSW: A Fresh Start – Opening November 29th! Hello! After (almost) 7 incredible years of running without any resets and with constant updates, we’re excited to announce the launch of a Fresh Start World. This new world offers everyone a chance to start fresh, compete on equal footing, and build a new economy from the ground up. Whether you’re a long-time player or a new one just joining the game, FSW is your opportunity to create a fresh legacy! What’s Happening? FSW launches on November 29th, 2024, becoming the new main world for players to experience a completely fresh start. The current world (now referred to as World 2) isn’t going anywhere! Players who want to continue their progress and adventures can still do so, as it will remain online for as long as at least 1 player is still online. Fresh Economy: With everyone starting from scratch, the in-game economy will evolve from day one. Compete, trade, and make your mark! ------ FSW introduces weekly milestones to keep gameplay exciting and competitive: Weekly Skill Level Caps: Week 1: Max level is 80 Week 2: Max level is 90 Week 3: Max level is 99 Week 4: Max level is 120 After Week 4, all level restrictions are lifted. These tokens are trade-able, and will never be re-released in any future update! These tokens will also be claimable on World 2. This is targeted to our veteran players who wish to stay on the legacy world. ------ To Our Veteran Players We know how much effort you’ve put into your progress throughout the years and we do not wish to take it away from you! Rest assured, it will remain fully operational as 'World 2', your hard-earned levels, achievements, items, etc. will not be tampered with! ------ Micro-Transactions and existing ranks As this will be a separate world and the old one still remaining intact, nothing MTX-wise will be transferred over. HOWEVER, players who have had purchased Velheim Coins from our store in the last 6 months will be able to claim their coins from a new NPC at our ;;home area called 'Miles (FSW Handler)'. Purchasing of Game Perks and Squeal of Fortune spins will be restricted for the first 5 weeks from launch. This will allow players to have a more competitive and fair race to the top! ------ Mark Your Calendars! FSW launches on November 29th at 06:00PM server time (there will be a timer added on the website, and more announcements as the date closes in), and we’re looking forward to seeing you there. Whether you’re competing for the top spot, exploring new content, or just looking for a new challenge, this is your chance to get in on the action. We will be sharing more relevant information about the Fresh Start World (and the server changes) in the upcoming days! Good luck, and let’s make FSW a success - together! ~ The Velheim Team
  16. Undead Invasion There's now a cap for all defensive items placed on the map. Them being unlimited was an overkill, so: unstable spheres and spinning blades are now capped to 5, barricades are capped to 25; If an NPC spawns on a trap it'll automatically get destroyed, this is to prevent players from setting up overkill zones in the spawn area; Damage to defenses is now increased by the size of the NPC, if it's a giant zombie it'll do 3 damage per attack; Point rewards per wave have been reduced to /10 of its original amount, it was supposed to be a hard mini-game with potential to earn big if you strategise! Miscellaneous If you had a lot of spooky tokens obtained from the mini-game listed above, your points have been reset back to 0; All purple and orange hallowe'en masks have been removed from your accounts as well to keep these new items somewhat rare; There has been a small rollback for players active during the event, dependant on their login times. I am sorry if you were not participating in abusing the new token mini-game, but we can't have nice things apparently and players cannot hold themselves back when they see an opportunity to abuse The Discord BOT should now properly automatically reconnect if it loses connection to the Discord API.
  17. Used to love playing pool with my bestie back in the day, game has a sweet spot in my heart Welcome to Velheim! Officially, that is
  18. Archaeology Moved the skybox information bubble onto the hotspot node itself; Added a warning message when using a lower level Mattock than the node itself; Burthorpe Added 'Tanya Hyde' NPC to a few more popular Cow spots. She can tan any hides; Added 'Burthorpe Caves' as a possible Monster teleport location to our global teleportation menu; Corporal Boothe now has a dialogue attached to him; The Loom near the Cow pen can now be used to Weave items; Divination Added a skybox information bubble onto the Wisp you're currently harvesting, displaying its life left in percentage; The harvesting animation will now try to 'restart' with a low priority on each harvest cycle, this'll help in scenarios where you quickly do a different animation in between and then simply stand still afterwards; Mining Stamina will no longer get used when the Player's Mining level is below 15; Moved the skybox information bubble onto the rock itself; Mining progress will now get saved until your next log-out. This change aids Players miss-clicking when Mining a high tier node that takes more time; When dealing the last required damage to a Rock, any additional damage dealt over the Rock's hit-points will now transfer over to the next cycle; Sound Added level-up jingles for all skills. They're also dependent on the level; Added Grand Exchange offer updating/finishing jingles; Added jingles to most mini-game endings depending on the game result; Added a jingle when finishing a Treasure Trail (obtaining the Casket); Added jingles to winning uncommon/rare items on the Squeal of Fortune; Added a jingle when a new Player-owned Farm Animal child gets adopted/is given birth to; Added a jingle when opening the Barrows loot chest; Added jingles to the Quest Cape emote, as well as when buying it from the Trivia Point store; Added a jingle upon death; Added ~30 Music tracks that'll auto-unlock on your next login; Managed to pack in an additional ~6,000 sound effects from a 753 cache; A lot of client work went into making additional animation sound effects play, these range from animation overrides to Entity idling. Do note that due to Jagex changing the sound bytes sometime between revisions 753 and 759 I'm unable to add more at the moment without spending weeks trying to refactor an old Jagex's deob to implement the changes on ours; Miscellaneous Added A LOT of missing object examine texts; Started working on server message translations to support our new 'Language' plugins selector. This'll be a slow and manual process. If you want to help translate hit me up on Discord! Doubled the rate at which you collect Tears in the Tears of Guthix D&D, and made the EXP adding formula a 'lamp-type'; Increased the Item Disassembly action speed by 50%; Added 'Herby Werby' to our global Teleportation menu under the Minigames section; Added a few new 'Replica' Cosmetic sets to the Solomon's Store; Ported over all Leather Crafting to our new Skilling GUI. Also added a few missing items, fixed incorrect level requirements and EXP earned; Ported over the Loom Weaving action to our new Skilling GUI; Ported over Leather Tanning to our new Skilling GUI; You can now pick-up the Treasure Trail Collection Log item from the boxes located just behind Zaida, and made the item function-able; Added the Slayer Collection Log item to all Slayer Master reward shops and made the item function-able; Made the Collection Logs GUI visually display which Tab you currently have selected; Opening Giant Oyster rewards will now be tracked on the 'Recent Trails' Treasure Trail Information board; The Dragon Battleaxe now has its 'Rampage' effect when activating its special attack. It boosts damage dealt by 20% and reduces accuracy by 10% lasting 60 seconds; Fixes Fixed a few interface menu selectors not registering mouse clicks; Updated the God Wars Dungeon 1 item protection list; High-level Herblore that requires Magic Runes will no longer trigger the Thaumaturgist game perk for non-rune items; Evil Tree's 'Fire objects' will now correctly visually disappear, you'll be able to light those sides on fire again to deal additional damage to the Tree; Fixed an issue with new Essence of Finality amulets not properly storing the special attack attributes;

  21. Welcome, pesky human, to The Pit! The name’s Scrambles the Werewolf, and I’d like to commend you on your exceptional taste in distractions and diversions. What’s that? You don’t remember how you got here? Well, you showed a general nimbleness at one of RuneScape’s many agility courses. Snotgut, my sidekick, has written a list of the agility courses and dropped it in a summary box at the bottom of this newspost for you. Go have a look once we’ve finished talking. You see, by gracefully completing several agility laps, you were lucky enough to catch the Talent Scout’s eye and he called you over with his big blue fist. After a chat, he whisked you to The Pit to see ol’ Scrambles and Snotgut, so that you could test your luck on one of our six knee-knocking ‘surprises’. That’s them right there. Proud of those titles, we are. We’ll pick which game you play – at random, of course, as there are no favourites here. Fail at the task and we’ll hand you some of that XP you adventurers seem to like nowadays. Won’t be much, mind: roughly the same you’d have got from the agility course you just left. Knock our hairy socks off with your agility skills, though - beating the diabolical tasks we set you - and you’ll be taken backstage for a bumper batch of XP, a chance to gamble it all, and a gorilla mask. Why a gorilla mask, I hear you ask? Because we think you’ll look...uh...dashing in it. Ha! Once we’re finished, you’ll be dropped back where you started, where you may/may not have a memory of what happened at the dreaded, befuddling, fantastical Pit! Mwahahahaha!
  22. Welcome (again)! Glad you made a fresh introduction. I'll see you online! YesYes, more cosmetics ARE coming, and I'll think of something about Vorago Omen cosmetics
