  1. I love these discussions. From entertainment and educational purposes I'll apply my education, science and knowledge within psychology to ANSWER this question, noting i'll answer it simple. Let's assume that Velheim wanted to promote gambling? It'd put the server in a bad light from the get-go. Gambling is within the list of addictions. For some, gambling is alright and fine, but for a lot of people it stops being enjoyable and it becomes rather compulsive. Gambling is usually designed in a way, that the host will be in favour and the participant not. When it comes to a game like Velheim, no one would host gambling if it didn't profit themself? The problem with gambling is that dopamine, the neurotransmitter the brain releases during enjoyable activities such as eating, sex and drugs, is the exact same with the game of uncertanity/potential reward related to gambling. It's not a game for -EVERYONE-. And some might say ''Can't those whom have gambling issues, just don't gamble?''. And the simple answer is NO. Putting a limit onto certain people, so others again can profit from them? It doesn't work. From experience within the RSPS-realm, gambling has a tendency to cause a heck-ton of toxicity, and a lot of unneccesary rage-quits. In general it causes a more unstable community, rather than promoting a stable one. I could easily write a 100 page essay regarding this matter, however I'll stick to what is mentioned above.
  2. Greetings All! I'd like to thank all whom participated. Some absolutely magnificent photos posted. I personally am a huge fan of fashion, and I usually find it rather easy to pick what I like the most. However I must admit that this was rather hard. The following are the winners: First place is going to; @Jabux Merely send me an INBOX here on the forums regarding when you're online, and we'll make the exchange happen. Second place is going to: @Brotherloe, Send me an INBOX and inform me regarding all the perks worth 2500 Velheim coins you want! I'll be hosting more Fashionscape events further, however I'll probably make them more theme-related and specific. Sincerely Doctor Who (STAFF MAY LOCK THIS TOPIC).
  3. Aye, indeed! I love them. Don't worry. I'll be hosting similar fashion events forward, some more specific with different themes. Your time will come
  4. Good question! 1 entry each individual. I unfortunately do not have the ability to check if you got one, or ten forum accounts. However, I'm hoping you'll simply stick to one.
  5. Greetings Dear Velheimers! It might be the leftover Velheim coins, your extreme wealth or perhaps you're like Jeff bezos (rich, with a broken and cheap Honda, loving the grind). Doesn't matter, we all love showing off our achievements and fashion. Lucky for you, I'm presenting you this EXACT opportunity. This competition is simple. It's all about mere creativity. Post your favourite fashion outfit below. (You may only include one outfit, if you post several different outfits you may deem yourself disqualified. You can however post several photos of the same outfit, assuming it got different angles). When deciding a winner, I'll be looking at creativity and which environment the character is in. REWARDS First Place: Santa Hat Second Place: Perks worth 2500 Velheim coins (Assuming you win, and have most perks, 20 bonds will be given) The winner will be announced the 4th of May. If you got any questions, feel free to contact me in-game. BEST OF LUCK!
  6. Welcome, Martin! Feel free to PM me if anything.
  7. Thank you both! Agreed, Yipe. We'll try and fix that as good as we can!
  8. Greetings Dear Velheimers! I'm Mark from Norway and I'm pleased to have arrived at this server. I work as a healthcare professional and coach, something I enjoy passionately. During my free-time, I'm completely and utterly absorbed in gaming. I have played Runescape since 2006, but in 2011 I quickly came to the realisation that I preffered Runescape Private Servers. The past 10 years I have been heavily involved in playing RSPS, but also worked with management and development for several servers. Often gone by the names: Tranquility, Runefloors, Ninetrees. - (Should there be anyone I might have come across in the past). For you forum-freaks whom spend several hours of your day eyeing for new posts to share your opinion on, I'm happy to inform you that I'm the same. Glad to be a part of both the game and the community. Feel free to add me, give me advice or share what is on your mind
