  1. Heyy, welcome to the forums
  2. So I like to hike, and a friend and I happened to find ourselves in Seattle in the US. There are a lot of great national parks around the city so we decided to go hiking. Now note that it was the middle of November and the weather wasn't great but we checked it beforehand and it was supposed to be dry. So we found a seemingly great trail to hike, set up a little camp at the end and then hike back the following day. And here starts a whole series of unfortunate circumstances. Firstly, due to traffic we arrived pretty late to the trailhead, which lead to us hiking 75% of the trail in complete darkness. Secondly, the trail wasn't very long but we overlooked the elevation changes and it was one of the most brutal hikes I've ever hiked. Third, we arrived around midnight at our campsite, set up our tent, ate some food and immediatly went to sleep because we were exhausted. About an hour into our sleep it began to rain. A lot. So halfway through the night, our tent started to leak, our stuff was getting wet and well sleeping was pretty much off the table. It was also between 0-5 degrees celcius so it was cold as balls. At first light we got out of the tent, got our stuff packed as quickly as possible and went back to the car as fast as we could. It rained throughout our whole 9 hr hike back. We immediatly heated up the car, found the closest airbnb and went to sleep immediatly. Looking back, it was probably one of the more dangerous things I have experienced. Due to the cold and wet conditions, we showed symptoms of hypothermia, and the ground was wet and slippery everywhere so one wrong step could've meant us slipping towards our death. But, we both survived and now we have a great story to tell to everybody . Some pictures of an enthusiastic start to the hike, and somewhere halfway on the way back :
  3. Alright another question: What is the most dangerous/reckless thing that you've ever done?

  9. Well I really can't remember a specifically bad gift. I have a lot of inside jokes with different friends of mine so the gift I buy them always revolves around that. Other people will usually just think like wtf is that, but the recipient knows and that's all I need. In other people's eyes it may seem like a weird gift, but between me and the recipient it's just right. So I remember talking to one of my friends and we liked the same show as kids that nobody else watched. So I bought something related to that which was clearly for kids, and we were both very much adults. The whole room was looking like wtf, why did you buy that but she loved it so in the end it's all good
  10. Asian countries have the greatest products lol. I once bought a knock-off bose bluetooth speaker when I was travelling in Thailand and the thing had like some shitty talking AI in it. You could ask it stuff and it would reply in Chinese, English or German, sometimes all three in the same sentence. Sound quality was pretty good for a cheap thing like that and I was learning Chinese at the same time. 10/10 would buy again
  11. IGN: Brotherloe I would probably take the vcoins since I don't play RS3, and the vcoins would be nice for getting the final few perks I need
  12. This one time I was roadtripping through Europe with my friends and we were in Romania. So we visited the local Lidl to buy some snacks and Lidl always has that section with random shit that they sell for cheap. So here they were selling these big ass concrete drill bits, construction gear, and Kitchen appliances for really cheap. So I eventually came home with a kitchen blender and a 150 cm concrete drill which I bought for no reason other than that it was cheap because I payed a combined 20 euros for it lol
  13. One of my favourite, most inspiring quotes, is a quote by Leonardo da Vinci when he was on his deathbed. It goes like this: "I have offended God and mankind, for I have not done enough with my life." A quick note is that I am paraphrasing, and also that historians disagree on whether he actually said it but it's nevertheless an inspiring quote. That a man like Leonardo da Vinci, a true Renaissance man, who explored almost every aspect of human existence through science and art, would still be so humble on his death bed. This quote always inspires me to get off my ass and get to work, and I hope that It may inspire you too!
  14. None as of yet, it has been between -3C and +3C, but still no snow...
  15. Well I live in a student house right now where we're not allowed to have pets but back home we had three dogs (all Pugs) and two cats. I basically grew up with animals around me having also had hamsters and gerbils :). My favorite pet in game is my Skypouncer Jeff <3
  16. Yess! Vikings is great, and Valhalla was cool as well. And that runestone looks sick @Arcadiez! I've always wanted to visit the Nordic countries and visit some of those historic places
  17. It's the only reason I have Disney+
  18. Ooh that sounds really interesting! Thanks! I've also been watching The Expanse on Prime recently and it's pretty good for those who are into science fiction.
