  1. Gave my 2 cents, hopefully not too harsh, but it was my honest opinion.
  2. Did you participate in Boardhunter II? Why or why not? I did not participate as I could not find a team, and those solo had no chance to get drops from the group bosses without using other participants from other teams. Also the winners were ORIGINALLY going to be whoever completed the board first which meant the team with the most free time would have won, and there are people who play 12-16 hours a day. Would you participate again in the future? If it were to be structured the same? No. If it were to be changed to have solo and team divisions, yes. What did you like about the event? It got people PVMing and an influx of items into the game. What did you dislike about the event? The rules changed last minute to include the bonus points and the elimination of the "Fill the board and win" Was the event period too long or too short? N/A Were the rewards worth participating? No. There was no point in joining just for the participation reward. What event(s) would you like to see next? Something everyone can join in, not just Hardcore PVMers/Clans. Something with X amount of time allotted in a day so those with little free time can be on the same level as those with a ton of free time. Maybe something on a specific 'shard world' where everyone starts with new characters and has achievements to complete. Similar to board hunter but with ingame features/skills. I.E. First to fish a rocktail, first to 99 fishing, etc. Obviously itd have everyone have the same XP rate and the same drop rates on that server.
  3. 1151 Strange boxes opened today: Irit, Kwuarm, Avantoe, Lantadyme and Cadantine all seem really low, with Blood Weed and Torstols being pretty high. Also no spirit weed or wergali? Guam 2276 Tarromin 2271 Marrentill 2264 Harralander 2335 Irit 82 Ranarr 472 Dwarf Weed 473 Blood Weed 492 Torstol 484 Avantoe 93 Kwuarm 87 Kwuarm 87 Lanatdyme 88 Cadantine 93
  4. Starting Requirements: Level 17 Farming Location: Manor Farm, North of Ardougne (Farming TP Tab -> Manor Farm) To start once you have the required farming level talk to granny potterington for the ingame tutorial. This covers the basics of Feeding/Breeding/Selling so I won't cover those, more the traits and animals. Traits: Every animal can have 3 traits with some unique traits for certain spots, of those these are the important ones (Excluding all Cosmetics): Health: Charmed: Minimum Health&Happiness are locked to 50% (Slot 2,3) Immune: Health always 100% (Slot 2,3) (Conflict: Sickly) Robust: Minimum Health is locked to 50% (Slot 1,2) (Conflict: Sickly) Sickly: Reduced Health (Slot 1) (Conflict: Immune, Robust) (Bad Trait) Happiness: Charmed: Minimum Health&Happiness are locked to 50% (Slot 2,3) Jovial: Minimum Happiness locked to 50% (Slot 1,2) (Conflict: Sullen) Joyful: Happiness always 100% (Slot 1,2,3) (Conflict: Sullen) Sullen: Happiness always drains to 0% over time. (Slot 1) (Conflict: Joyful, Jovial) (Bad Trait) Breeding: Traits: Genetic Inferiority: Small Multi-trait reduction for breeding (Slot 1) (Bad Trait) Genetic Mutation: Small Multi-trait boost for breeding (Slot 1,2,3) Genetic Instability: Large Multi-trait boost for breeding (Slot 2,3) Shiny Chance: Sparkling: +2% Shiny Animal Chance (Slot 1,2,3) Glistening: +3% Shiny Animal Chance (Slot 2,3) Radiant: +5% Shiny Animal Chance (Slot 3). Breeding Chance: Virile: Small Boost to breeding chance. (Slot 1,2) (Conflicts: Stressed) Studly: Large Boost to breeding chance. (Slot 1,2,3) (Conflicts: Stressed) Stressed: Small Reduction to breeding chance. (Slot 1) (Conflicts: Studly, Virile) (Bad Trait) Miscellaneous: Good Breeding: Higher chance for a different breed of the animal. More Below. (Slot 2,3) (Conflict: Strong Genes) Strong Genes: Increased chance of being the same breed as parent. More Below. (Slot 2,3) (Conflict: Good Breeding) Old at Heart: +25% Age Rate (Slot 1) (Conflict: Young at Heart) Young at Heart: -25% Age Rate (Slot 1) (Conflict: Old at Heart) XP: Exalted: +3% XP from harvesting. (Slot 3) Giver: +3% XP from harvesting. (Slot 1,2,3) (Conflict: Taker) Limited Efficiency: -3% XP, -3% Beans, more materials dropped (Slot 3) Taker: -3% XP from harvesting (Slot 1) (Conflict: Giver) (Bad Trait) Drops: Golden Gift: Obtain gold when harvesting. (Slot 3) Unlucky for Some: +3% Beans, Less XP and less chance for Materials. (Slot 3) (Conflict: Limited Efficiency, Nice but Dim) Limited Efficiency: -3% XP, -3% Beans, more materials dropped (Slot 3) Nice but Dim: -10% Beans, +14.4% XP, Less Materials (Slot 3) (Conflict: Limited Efficiency, Unlucky for Some) Sales: Lucky: +2% Beans (Slot 1,2,3) (Conflict: Surly) Fortunate: +5% Beans (Slot 3) (Conflict Surly) Unlucky for Some: +3% Beans, Less XP and less chance for Materials. (Slot 3) (Conflict: Limited Efficiency, Nice but Dim) Limited Efficiency: -3% XP, -3% Beans, more materials dropped (Slot 3) Surly: -5% Beans (Slot 1) (Conflict: Lucky, Fortunate) (Bad Trait) Nice but Dim: -10% Beans, +14.4% XP, Less Materials (Slot 3) (Conflict: Limited Efficiency, Unlucky for Some) Uniques: Dragons Poison Breath: Need all three breaths between parents to have a chance for a royal dragon (shiny) offspring. (Slot 1,2,3) Shock Breath: Need all three breaths between parents to have a chance for a royal dragon (shiny) offspring. (Slot 1,2,3) Ice Breath: Need all three breaths between parents to have a chance for a royal dragon (shiny) offspring. (Slot 1,2,3) Chinchompas (Animal is lost if it explodes) Unstable: Chance to explode, granting XP and Materials as if the Chinchompa was Elder. (Slot 1,2,3) Nuclear: Higher Chance to explode, granting XP and Materials as if the Chinchompa was Elder. (Slot 1,2,3) Now that you can see the traits, lets cover Good Breeding and Strong Genes: Animals have "Tiers" which you can easily check using the collection log. Some have unique mechanics: Common Brown Rabbits will only ever breed other common brown rabbits. Gloomshroom Zygomytes Cannot make daemoncaps. Chinchompas only create chins the same breed of parents. (Crystal+Crimson can only make crimson or crystal none of the others) Dragons go in hide type. Green->Blue->Red->Black(Royal) Blue+Red Dragon will NEVER produce a green dragon. Cows have unique traits of Chocolate/Vanilla/Strawberry Touches that can increase the chance of those flavors of cow, but otherwise can breed into them always. Sheep and Spiders are supposed to be seasonal, so I can only assume that the breeding is random on here since we don't have seasons. Here is the breeding table from the wiki with the totem times removed as we don't have those (yet?) all of these times are 25% shorter here: Breeding is more likely if the happiness and health is 100%, reducing in chance till 0%. For Example the dragons are 750 minutes here, not 1000. If an animal is in a breeding pen, it has bad luck mitigation and will succeed on the fifth try. Other pens do not have the bad luck mitigation. Making Beans/Bank: There are many animals that make reasonable beans, my recommendations are to focus on these animals for beans: Dragons: Adolescent Dragons Sell for 2000 Beans each, the eggs are easily obtainable from QBD/KBD or and Chromatic Dragon (Requires 92 Farming) Jadinkos: Adolescent Jadinkos Sell for 684 beans each, are easily obtained by hunting Jadinkos around Anachronia. (Requires 76 Farming and 70-81 Hunter depending on type) Dinos in General: Adolescent Dinos sell for 1935-3600 Beans, have a 50% chance replacing a Jadinko, can also be found hunting Grenwalls or Butterflies around Anachronia. (Requires up to 118 Farming, 77 hunter for grenwalls, 95 hunter, 90 agility for black warlocks) Of course you can also breed and sell offspring once you get a good breeding pair, but the next step is the animals you'll want for their produce firstly and then beans secondly (Selling at Elder): Rexes: You'll want to find some Rexes of some kind, whether its Corbicula, Pavosaur, or Bagrada (each type can only breed with itself). These will give bottled dinosaur roars, which are used to make Vulnerability Bombs. They eat exclusively Meat. Venomous Dinosaur: You will want specifically Venomous Dinosaurs (Gotten from the Level Slayer mob of the same name) for thier Poison Slime (Frogs drop it too, but require insects to feed and are a lot less generous. 15 slime vs 60). This slime is used in making Weapon Poison +++ They eat exclusively Meat. Spiders: You will want any spider for their fangs. These are gotten by doing Araxxor, or killing various spiders, such as the corpse spiders in lumby catacombs, or stronghold. You will most likely have to get lucky with breeding to get high tier spiders which give more fangs. Spider Fangs are used in Super Invention Potions. Spiders other than Spirit/Night also give Venom Sacs which can make Extreme Runecrafting Potions. Spiders will eat Meat or Seeds. Appoterrasaur: You will want these animals for their Beak Snot. Arcane, Spicati, or Oculi (each type can only breed with itself). The beak snot is used in making powerburst of sorcery, which will DOUBLE your runes per essence for 10s while runecrafting. They eat exclusively Meat. Yaks: You will need Yaks for Milk for making Super Runecrafting Potions for use in Powerburst of sorcery. These are gotten from killing Yaks at the Yak teleport (Neitiznot). Yaks will eat flowers, fruits or vegetables. (Woad Leaves are an easy food source) Zygomytes: You need these for Extreme Invention Potions. They give mycelial webbing which is the ingredient that turns Super into Extreme. Zygomytes are gotten by harvesting morchella/bittercap mushrooms. They also give fruit for Super Cooking and Super Divination Potions. As well as mort myre fungi, which can be used to feed them. They eat Mushrooms. Chinchompas: These little guys are used for Invention Potions. They give chinchompa residue which is the secondary. They are gotten from ANY Chinchompa catching and it gives the same residue each, this is the one time Shiny is not good as they give straight money instead of residue. Be careful of the unstable and nuclear traits, as both can speed up harvesting at the cost of the animal. These eat ANYTHING. Sheep: Bought from the farmers market. You WILL need to breed these untill you get one of the Seasonal Varieties (Spingsheared, Summerdown, Fallfaced, Winterwold, or Golden). The 'seasonal' wool is used to make basic Runecrafting potions. Sheep will eat Flowers, Fruits or Vegetables. (Woad Leaves are an easy food source) Adam Antite: After unlocking the glorious man for 5000 beans he will then, for the low low cost of 100 beans, go out and find a random manor farm animal. (No dinos) This can be a huge boon for the rarer or more troublesome animals. I managed to get my Zygomytes and my sheep through him. If he gives you a valuable creature it can easily pay off the 100 beans for more creatures! This is all I could think of right now, feel free to suggest additions or give constructive feedback. I will add to this guide as I see more questions asked.
  5. I feel like the breeding is way faster than RS3, you are probably just getting bad rolls. I have been getting 1-2 Venomous Dinos a day and usually 2 zygomytes daily as well. Make sure your animals are 100% Happy, 100% Healthy and don't have the Stressed(-) Trait, and if you want faster breeding get Virile(+) or Studly(++) Traits. The traits do stack if they are on both of the breeding pair. Ideally for fast AF breeding, try to get a Joyful, Immune, Studly creature. (Genetic Mutation(+) / Instability(++) give higher chances of multiple traits) I do agree that a POF dedicated perk would be amazing. As for the farmer's market, it tells you when you click it if you already own the upgrade. The storage from the new creatures is very small but you can also upgrade it. I do wish the checked critters were tradable though. As for zygomytes, you can get them from Adam Anite, I used him to get myself a breeding pair. Took about 10-15 times.
  6. Staff Members @Sandstorm Positives: Works his butt off to get us ever closer to pinnacle RSPS Negatives: Worrysome how much he pushes himself, be safe! @Nhs Positives: Have seen them help when needed in discord Negatives: Don't see them too often in game, but they could just be busy with other issues. @Iron Tyrone Positives: Always around and active, helpful about questions and interacts with the community a bunch. Negatives: I actually can't think of any negatives about them. @Zero Two Positives: Is on a lot, tries to entertain players with conversations. Negatives: Has a strange obsession with toes/feet. @Bjorn (Supremez) Positives: Very Knowledgable about the game Negatives: Has been known to harass players and favor their clan @Lokai (Maxamillion) Positives: Rich and does giveaways a lot. Negatives: I've had him on my ignore list for a reason. Server Changes I liked: POF is Amazing Love you Sand for one of my favorite activities. HarvestScape FTW (Harvest Moon), or would it be Velheim Valley? Changes I disliked: The removal of Lamps/Stars from SoF for a bit there. (Don't know if they will go away after the even ends on the 30th or not) Changes I'd like to see: Keep on keeping on! Looking forward to EGW when it comes or maybe other bosses.
  7. IGN - Jakkillr I love that Velheim is super up to date and mixes whats good about Rs3 and what was good about Rs2. Nothing is nicer than having old style combat be effective against RS3 bosses and content.
  8. I can say after leaving for a few months and finally coming back... I can see potentially why population has declined. The 15 minute AFK timeout has probably made it drop at LEAST 60 or so at any given time. (I know i used to take naps and afk) It seems like there is a lot less people in the help chats and the server has fractured into a lot of clan chats instead, and some of those clans probably scared people off. Some people seem to have forgotten that at ED2 release the Eldritch crossbow was only temp till ED3 came out. Maybe replace it with Blight-bound? Theres also the issues that a lot of countries have returned to somewhat normalcy and people would rather go be outside with their friends than inside grinding on a rsps. I also feel like... maybe there's a bit too much to do for new players? I had a friend join recently and he said the tutorial overwhelmed him with all the text. It been a long time since I did the tutorial so IDK what exactly it is anymore lol. Prestiging seems to burn some people out too. I know I was all hype for 200m all, but now that I've got it... there's a lot of pressure to prestige but I also don't want to do the grind all over again. I've seen people prestige and then never come back. If you introduced Gambling in some form I feel like you'd lose more people in the long run as they would be cleaned or scammed somehow and then subsequently quit.
  9. IGN Jakkillr I'd use the 100$ Velheim coins to buy cosmetics and perks for ppl.
  10. Bookmarked, so many times I have to constantly ask 'what number is x' and feel dumb doing it multiple days in a row xD
  11. IGN: Jakkillr I'd spend the coins on the last few perks I need and getting myself some fancy clothes to wear. Plus spread it around and gift some perks to people.
