Game Guide Corporeal Beast - Boss Guide

The Corporeal Beast is the physical incarnation of the Spirit Beast, and is a boss monster.

The Corporeal Beast possesses a number of formidable abilities that distinguish it from similarly-levelled boss monsters.

It has very high accuracy, damage and health for a boss of its level. It is also capable of eating summoning familiars.

Though it has no weaknesses, its thick armour greatly reduces the damage of all non-spear weapons and can also summon dark energy cores to attack players and siphon their health as its own.

You can teleport to the Corporeal beast through the Teleportation menu. Bosses - Corporeal beast

• 80+ Combat stats.
• 65+ Prayer for deflect magic cursor.

 

Suggested Game Perks

I would recommend to get the following game perks. These will help you out with all sort of PVM content.

• Friendly Familiar. Increases familiar (summoning pet) timers by 50% and max health by 25%.
• Prayer Party. Slows down prayer drain by 50%, does not work in the wilderness
• Herbivore. All monster will have a chance at dropping a box that yields 10 random grimy herbs and increases potion timers by 2 times.
• Pyromancy. Increased bonfire spirit chance by 25% and increased health boost while stoking bonfire by 50%
• Robin and Ava. Automatically picks-up any dropped ammunition while ranging(like ava)
• Overclocking. Increases aura active times by 50% and decreases aura recharge times by 50%(basically double the time of all your auras)
• Paramedic. All healing is now 15% stronger. This woks on ALL healing aspects(vampyrism aura, blood spells, food, saradomin brews etc.) Does not work in the Wilderness
• Proficient Inventor. Proficient Inventor has only 1 purpose and it is to slow down Invention charge usage by 25%.

Suggested Auras

 

 

• Vampyrism aura cost 23,000 Loyalty points. Very good for making longer trips.

• Berserker aura cost 25,000 Loyalty points which is useful for faster kills.

 

• Brawler aura is a tier 1 aura that can be bought from the Loyalty Programme Shop for 4,250 Membership Loyalty Points. Gives increased accuracy by 3%.
• Greater Brawler aura is a tier 2. Cost 16,750 Loyalty Points. Gives increased accuracy by 5%.
• Master Brawler aura is a tier 3. Cost 29,000 Loyalty Points. Gives increased accuracy by 7%.
• Supreme Brawler aura is a tier 4. Cost 57,000 Loyalty Points. Gives increased accuracy by 10%.

• Penance aura cost 23,000 Loyalty points which is useful if you're struggling with prayer drain

You can also use Malevolent, but i recommend to get masterwork.

• Superior vesta's spear
• Cinderbane gloves/deathtouch bracelet
• Ring of death/Luck ring as Luck of the dwarves/Hazelmere's signet ring

• Luck ring switch, Example lotd, hsr.
• Supreme overload potion/salve.
• Super prayer renewal potion

• Zaros godsword, for it spec.
• Extra Super restore in case prayer get drained too much.
• Spring cleaner
• Food: You can bring Super saradomin brews if you want stay longer. Otherwise bring sailfish

 

 

 

Corporeal Beast Mechanics

 

 

Prayer

I primarily suggest you to maintain the usage of deflect   Magic prayer. However you can try to flick in between Melee and   Magic to reduce the overall damage.

 

The Corporeal Beast is a level 785 boss monster

• The most important mechanic the Beast possesses is that all damage dealt by a weapon other than a spear or hasta is reduced by 50%

• Alongside this, the Beast will devour any summoning familiars deployed by the player, healing the beast by an amount equal to the familiar's health when it was consumed.
• Protection prayers/curses has a reduction in its block rate. Meaning that the Beast will hit through your protection prayer.

Corporeal beast uses melee and magic attacks. It uses three different attacks outside of the normal melee attack.

• High damage - Indicated a blast-like projectile, Dealing huge amount of magic damage if not protected against.
• Can be prevented by praying magic or having a high magic defence.
• Stat draining - A weaker, more transparent projectile, this attack deals significantly less damage than the high damage projectile. It will also drain the player's Magic, Summoning or Prayer levels.
• Can be prevented by using restores and potions that have constant boost, example overloads.
• Dark core - Deals rapid typless damage and drains prayer points per hit.
• Can be prevented by moving away from the dark core or killing it.

• Sailfish

 

Strategy

 

I start an insane instant. I don't plan to stay too long before i need to restock with food.

I pray mage as the magic damage hits hard.

I use my ZGS spec then switch back to the spear.

I also use Statius warhammer spec to reduce defence.

 

 

Incase of a Dark core spawn, I just move out of the way and kill it.

Holy Elixir ~ 7-10% drop rate

Spirit shield ~ 40% drop rate

Spectral sigil ~ 3% drop rate

Arcane sigil ~ 3% drop rate

Divine sigil ~ 3% drop rate

Elysian sigil ~ 3% drop rate

 

Tertiary drops

 

The Corporeal bone is an item dropped by the Corporeal beast that can be used to unlock the miniature-boss pet Corporeal Puppy.

 

Chance of clue scrolls drops.

 

Chance of dropping charms.

 

This monster has access to the rare drop table.
Luck-enhancing items such as a ring of wealth or luck of the dwarves are not required to access the table.
