Arcadiez
Summoning focuses on summoning familiars from the Spirit Plane by creating and using summoning pouches. Each familiar has a unique ability that requires a Summoning scroll, made from a corresponding pouch, to use. Familiars have a wide variety of uses, from fighting in combat to carrying items to providing invisible boosts to other skills. Similar to Prayer, Summoning requires points to summon familiars and utilize their abilities. Summoning points are drained when Familiars are summoned. Summoning points are typically recharged by interacting with large or small obelisks. Alternatively, Summoning points may be restored through the use of Summoning potions or Super Restore Potions. Location/Info Spoiler The crux of Summoning lies within two areas: The creation of Summoning pouches, which are imbued with the essence of familiars from the Spirit Plane. The creation of scrolls that enable the unique special abilities of each familiar. Required items to make a summoning pouches An empty pouch is one of the required base items for each Summoning pouch; all other required ingredients are placed inside the pouch. Pouches may be purchased from Summoning shops, and may also be obtaining by catching Spirit Implings (54 Hunter). Can also be both at GE. Spirit shards (shards) are required ingredients in each pouch*. Depending on the pouch being created, anywhere from 1 to 222 shards may be required per pouch. Thus, spirit shards are an integral item to keep on-hand when training the skill. These can be bought at any Summoning shops, GE. Charms are required ingredients in each Summoning pouch. The type of charm required varies depending on the type of pouch being created, but one (1) charm is always required. Charms are not tradeable items, and can only be obtained from NPC's as monster drops or otherwise. Bork is a good boss to farm for Charms. Click to see all types of charms Tertiary Summoning ingredients are the deciding ingredient as to which pouch will be made. Because of this, there are many possible tertiary Summoning ingredients. Many of these tertiary ingredients are difficult or dangerous to obtain, rare drops, and/or non-tradeable with other players. Furthermore, some pouches require two tertiary ingredients. Summoning shops Pikkupstix at ;;home In the TP Menu search for Sum - East Taverley You have the Summoning shop just North of my position and the Pet store to the south. (There's also a pet shop in Yanille) How to train With all the ingredients in your inventory head over to one of the summoning obelisks and select Infuse-pouch In there find the pouch you're trying to make and click on it Once the pouches are made you'll obtain an xp drop. You can also convert the pouches to scrolls, which are used to cast the familiars special attack/feature. However it's a pain to obtain a compass. Fire spirits is another skilling way to obtain charms. Tips for Gold charm Rock crabs have a 13% charm drop rate, 10% of which are gold charms. This can be an efficient way for lower levelled players with some extra cash to obtain charms, and get decent experience. Moss giants are great for gold charms, about 40% drop rate. They have very low defence and slow attack speed making them easy to power through even at low levels. Ice giants are great for gold charms, about 55-57% drop rate for charms. They have relatively low defence and slow attack speed making them easy to power through even at low levels. Giant rock crabs can be the best monster to get gold charms from. They drop three of these at a time quite frequently. The giant rock crabs are just located in the Chaos Tunnels, near the entrance south-west of the Wilderness Volcano. It is recommended to use Magic to kill giant rock crabs, since it is their weakness. Hellhounds, while not advised for green, crimson or blue charms, have a 68-69% drop rate for gold charms Tips for Crimson charm Killing black demons became another reasonable method of gathering crimson charms. Waterfiends are a great source of crimson charms for mid-to-high level players. They are weak to bolts, and easy to kill with a royal crossbow or another tier 75+ ranged weapon. For higher level players with 81+ Slayer, killing gladii at the Monastery of Ascension allows for a fast way to collect crimson charms while also serving as a money making method. Like other Order of Ascension members, gladii are weak against ranged weapons and have a weakness for any ranged attack type, and they are almost impossible to kill at any decent speed with magic or melee. With high melee stats (preferably 90+, Turmoil, Soul Split, and unicorn stallion) it is possible to obtain a lot of crimson charms from King Black Dragon. Dagannoths also drop a lot of crimson charms. Tips for Green charm Abyssal walkers have an 18% green charm rate. They exist in large numbers to the south of the abyss, so you should bring multi-target weapons Cave bugs have a 40% green charm drop rate, the second highest in game after mithril dragons Capsarius Ascension Member - mainly drops green charms. Green dragon and Ice Giants are two good options. Tips for Blue charm Exiled kalphite guardians drop blue charms at a very high rate. This makes it incredibly fast and easy to obtain blues without completing high-level quests for tormented demons or glacors. However, the Exiled Kalphite Marauders provide a slightly better rate for blue charms and can be killed while AFK at higher levels. Tormented demons are excellent monsters for obtaining blue charms. On average, around 3 charms per 2 kills will be obtained Scutarius Ascension Member - mainly drops crimson and blue charms. Legiones Ascension Member - mainly drops crimson and blue charms.
