Update Log #160 - Herblore Habitat & Juju potions, Spring Festival + Easter Event

Spring Festival (Easter)

  • I forgot to change the auto-start dates and it started a bit prematurely already, so I made it calculate each years Easter date and make it auto-start 2 weeks prior and end a week afterwards for next year!
  • Use any noticeboard to teleport to the Spring Festival area, the are consists of a few different activities at which you can AFK skills on and gain tokens;
  • You can then exchange these tokens with Easter Bunny for various rewards;
  • There's also a Quest you'll have to complete to gain access to all the activities, and a +20% EXP boost in the area;
  • The event will end on the 30th of April;

 

Archaeology

  • The 'Death Note' Archaeology relic will now note bones before they are picked up by the upgraded Bonecrusher;
  • Added a new relic: 'Slayer Introspection'. It can be unlocked by offering the Amascut's Enchanted Gem obtained by completing 'Knowledge is Power' collection from Wise Old Man. This relic lets you choose the minimum/maximum amounts for the upcoming Slayer Task;
  • Archaeology Screening will now always try to send the materials to your material storage first, otherwise add to inventory/drop underneath you;
  • Changed the Soapstone material level from 98 to 60;

 

Combat & Related

  • Fixed an issue that allowed multi-attack target selection to stack up indefinitely;
  • Reduced the duration that Masuta the Ascended stays levitated (from 75s to 30s);
  • Reduced the Armadyl Battlestaves special attack delay from 8 to 6 ticks;
  • The Augmented Staff of Darkness can now perform its special attack;
  • Arch-Glacor in Hard-Mode will now always add 100-160 Resonant anima of Wen to your Arch-Glacor reward chest per kill alongside the usual item drop roll;
  • The Loot Font at Telos's lobby can now be used to view and claim all rewards;

 

Herblore

  • Updated the Combination Potion creation interface to our new Production GUI. This'll make it much easier for you to view what requires what, and if you have that recipe unlocked;
  • Added a new brewable combination potion: Perfect Plus. It must be unlocked from Dungeoneering rewards, and then purchased from Meilyr potion recipes shop. The potion can then be created at level 99 Herblore by combining an Overload, Harmony Moss and Crystral Tree blossom. This potion gives a 4 hour effect of ALL perfect Juju potions;

 

Herblore Habitat

  • The Herblore Habitat as open for business! Added all shortcuts, dialogues, interactions, spawns, etc. to the area South-East of Karamja;
  • This area is mainly used to train Hunter, Farming and Herblore skills. You'll need levels: 54 Farming, 70 Hunter and 54 Herblore to start any of the activities. Construction is also recommended though not required;
  • Buy some seeds from Papa Mambo and plant them in the newly added 'Vine Patches'. More seeds can be obtained from Hunting Jadinko's later;
  • To start attracting Common Jadinko's, you'll have to plant a blossom seed, a vine bush seed and a fruit tree. Hunt these down using Marasamaw Trap's (these work same as regular Box Traps) to start obtaining seeds required to attract other Jadinko's;
  • There are 7 different normal Jadinko's you can catch with Marasamaw Traps, each requiring different conditions in the Habitat. Detailed requirements can be seen on the wiki: https://runescape.wiki/w/Herblore_Habitat#Combinations_/_Conditions;
  • There are 3 different God-type Jadinko's. These have a static requirement to appear, though you will have to find that out for yourself;
  • There are also 3 different Jadinko's you have to catch using the 'Tracking' feature. Once Habitat conditions are met for them, start by going to the South Area and inspecting a 'Burrow';
  • Once you catch a new Jadinko you haven't yet, the game will notify you that a new jadinko has been uncovered. You can talk to 'Astlayrix' to view your uncovered Jadinko's, and how to catch them (if you've forgotten);
  • There's also an 'Environmental Feature' which you have to setup to attract different Jadinko's. This require's a Construction level, however, Papa Mambo can also build this for you in exchange for some coins;
  • Papa Mambo can also 'Ward-Off' any unwated Jadinko's from appearing. This can be done by giving him a Striped Vine and then selecting which Jadinko to effectively 'hide' for the next 15 minutes;
  • Catching all 10 different Jadinko's each day will yield an XP reward from Papa Mambo, as well as one of the Witchdoctor outfit pieces;
  • Since this also includes a repeatable daily, I have added the location as a possible 'mini-game' in the Global Teleportation menu;

Juju Potions

  • 5 new Farming seeds have been added which can be obtained from Hunting the Jadinko's: Argway, Erzille, Samaden, Shengo, Ugune;
  • These seeds can be planted in both newly added 'Vine Herb' patches. Growth stages and states are same as any other Herbs;
  • Once grown and collected, they may then be cleaned, and used on Juju Vial's of Water to create special Unfinished potions;

These potions can then be mixed:

  • Argway mixed with a Shadow Vine (Shadow Jadinko) to create Scentless potions. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Hunter which automatically 'smokes' a trap that is placed by the player (currently irrelevant since we do not use this system);
  • Erzille mixed with a Corrupt Vine (Diseased Jadinko) to create Juju Hunter potions. These potions are not drink-able, but used on the Vine Flower patches to grant yourself an effect. This effect is required to catch some of the Jadinko's;
  • Samaden can be mixed with these vines to produce these potions: 
  •   -> Oily Vine (Amphibious Jadinko) making Juju Woodcutting potions. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Woodcutting which has a 10% chance on each cut log for it to send to your bank;
  •   -> Draconic Vine (Draconic Jadinko) making Juju Mining potions. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Mining which has a 10% chance to give the equivalent rock's Stone Spirit each time you receive an ore;
  •   -> Saradomin Vine (Saradomin Jadinko) making Saradomin's Blessing. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Farming which increases EXP by 10% while in the Herblore Habitat;
  •   -> Guthix Vine (Guthix Jadinko) making Guthix's Gift. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Herblore which increases EXP by 10% for Juju potion brewing;
  •   -> Zamorak Vine (Zamorak Jadinko) making Zamorak's Favour. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Hunter which increases EXP by 10% while in the Herblore Habitat;
  • Shengo can be mixed with these vines to produce these potions: 
  •   -> Plant Teeth (Cannibal Jadinko) making Juju Cooking potions. These potions are not drink-able, but once decanted to 1-dose can be combined with baked potatos to make 'Strange Potato'. The Strange Potato can then be mixed with 'Tuna and Corn' to make 'Juju Gumbo'. This gumbo is a level 90 food item healing up to 225 Hitpoints, + additional 50 HP over the next 10 seconds;
  •   -> Aquatic Vine (Aquatic Jadinko) making Juju Fishing potions. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Fishing which swaps raw sharks with raw baron sharks when Fishing at a 33% chance;
  • Ugune mixed with a Marble Vine (Igneous Jadinko) to create Juju Farming potions. These potions provide a 6 minute buff to Farming Herb patches, increasing their yield by 33%;

Regular potions mentioned above can then be mixed into perfect potions:

  • Juju Woodcutting potion mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Woodcutting potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Woodcutting which has a 5% chance to double your logs;
  • Juju Farming potion mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Farming potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Farming: 5% chance to receive 1 x Harmony Moss from ANY Farming patch, and a 25% increase in Harmony Moss from Harmony Pillars;
  • Juju Mining potion mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Mining potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Mining similar to the regular Juju Mining effect, but also automatically refills your Stamina bar when a Stone Spirit is consumed;
  • Juju Hunter potion mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Smithing potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Smithing which has a 5% chance to skip a smith action, essentially doing 2 iterations at once;
  • Scentless potion mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Agility potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Agility which increases the chance of the Prifddinas Agility Course's shortcuts appearing;
  • Saradomin's blessing mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Prayer potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Prayer which increases Prayer EXP by 5%;
  • Guthix's gift mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Herblore potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Herblore which increases Herblore EXP from making combination potions by 5%;
  • Zamorak's favour mixed with Harmony Moss to create Perfect Juju Dungeoneering potions. These potions provide a 4 hour buff to Daemonheim: +5% increased damage dealt and skill doors require 2 levels lower than usual;
  • Juju Fishing potion mixed with Harmony Dust to create Perfect Juju Fishing potions. These potions provide 1 hour buff to Fishing which increases Fishing chance by 5% and a 33% to catch Raw Baron sharks instead of Raw sharks;

 

Prifddinas

  • Added 2 shortcuts to the Agility course: Window vault, and Light Creature. These allow you to skip sections of the course for faster laps;
  • Grinding Crystal Urchins received from Waterfall Fishing will now yield Harmony Dust instead of Harmonic Dust;
  • Harps will now format the percentage for attunement correctly;

Harmony Pillars:

  • You may now use the 4 Harmony Pillars in Prifddinas to grow Harmony Moss seeds;
  • The pillars do not grow on their own like any other Farm patches, but instead will randomly attune to a specific skill after clearing it;
  • For a growth stage to happen you'll need to gain 50,000 EXP in the skill that the pillar is attuned to;
  • Each pillar has 5 growth stages, and will announce in chat once it has finished 'growing';
  • Having a Tirannwn Quiver 3/4 increases harvest yield by 10%, and having the Perfect Juju Farming potion active increases yield by 25%;

Crystal Tree Patch:

  • A Crystal Acorn can now be planted in the Crystal Tree Patch. This requires level 94 Farming to do, and awards 50,000 Farming EXP;
  • Planting the tree also unlocks 'of the Naragi' Loyalty title;
  • Each day the tree can be harvested for a Crystal Blossom. Having the Tirannwn's Quiver 4 equipped yields 2 blossoms each day;
  • A single acorn may be obtained for free by talking to Challenge Mistress Heriau in the Max Guild;

 

Runecrafting

  • You can now make all altar tiara's as long as you have a blank tiara and the corresponding talisman with you;
  • Added the full Wizard Elriss NPC dialogue. She's located in the RuneCrafting guild. After showing her all 13 talismans she will then give you an omni-talisman for free. This can be used on a Wicked Hood to unlock all features of it, or, used in place of any other talisman;
  • Added the full Wizard Korvak NPC dialogue. He's located in the RuneCrafting guild. He can combine a blank tiara or a runecrafting staff with the omni-talisman to create omni-tiara/omni-staff respectively. You can also purchase medium/large/giant runecrafting pouches from him;

 

Miscellaneous

  • The Nightmare Muspah now gives a passive effect of +3% to finding Enriched Memories and a 5% chance to quadruple the energy amount given when harvesting Divination Wisps;
  • Scroll of Cleansing and Bottle Brew game-perk will now try to save the herb (if any) when making primal-extract-based potions;
  • The Bracelet of Clay will now add +1 mined Soft Clay when having the Ceramic Champion game-perk active and mining a regular Clay rock;

 

Fixes

  • The Culinaromancer's chest in Lumbridge should now once again function as intended;
  • Corrected all shops that had an incorrect version of the blue Wizard Boots in stock. The old version is now untradeable;
  • The Lobster/Swordfish Fishing spot in Wilderness is now functional;
  • The 'Revenant Walk' walk animation override will now make all weapons face outwards;
  • Fishing Accumulators no longer require the 'Crystal Tool Siphon' blueprint to create;
  • Resetting Daily Guthix Cache points with the D&D reset token will now correctly set it to your daily maximum available;
  • Abyssal Vine Whips are no longer trade-able;
  • Signs of Porter will now properly check if the item was actually added to any of the storages it can send to before triggering the degradation and resource consumption;
  • The Group Ironman task 'Killed each Godwars Dungeon 2 general' will now correctly check regular and hard-mode NPC's;
  • Vote books should no longer have a noted version since they are stack-able. Any prior noted vote books will still function normally;
  • The 'Fortitude' Seren Curse now displays the correct Prayer level required on its tooltip;
  • The initial High-alchemy spell cast will no longer attempt to delete an extra set of runes.
