  1. This thread is to follow my 10 Hp account.  The goal of the account is to get all 99s, including combat, EXCEPT for Constitution, which will remain at 10.  This means no killing mobs (since that gives con exp), and no training combat the normal way.

Found out that you can reset cb stats, and though that was the end of the impressiveness of this challenge, since I can just train cb up and then reset HP, so... this thread is A) to keep up to date on my progress, and B) to keep an up-to-date Adventurer's Log.  The Monster kill-counts section of the tab will be my explanation on how I didn't kill anything to get my cb stats.  The screenshot will be full-window shots with my skill tab up, and the log scrolled all the way down to the bottom (the square will be at the bottom of the log to show I am not trying to hide the kills further down).

Example.  This is Alya, my main Classic account.  If I hide the kill-count, the square is not all the way to the bottom, keeping me truthful.

This is 10 Hp.  Note the scroll square is all the way down.  If that changes, I'm hiding kills.

This should be a fun, if not painful, undertaking that I'm excited to attempt.

  2. So this isn't for Triple A titles with some weird shit in them, I'm interested in seeing some of the weirdest game-fusions, rip offs, and hacks you've ever come across.

For me, one of the most amazing, and yet strangest I've seen, was Dragon Ball Z Team Training.  It's a ripoff of Pokemon Red, with Dragonball Characters, ranging from Goku, Tien, Yamcha, etc... all the way up to Jiren and Zeno.  It was a really fun game though it was ridiculously easy since the 'element tree' is really simple and most people follow the same typing (fighter, who knew?)  But it was still really interesting, and they captured how DBZ would play in Pokemon pretty well.

The other I'd have to say is 'Net64'.  It's Super Mario 64, but online.  You can have your friends join you in playing the game, all of you playing as Mario, on the same world, or your friends can simply dick you over and kill you repeatedly while you try to traverse difficult areas.  What makes this stand out, though... is the number of characters you can play as INSTEAD of Mario, and the gamemodes it adds.  You can play SM64 as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, Waluigi, Rosalina, Toad, Yoshi, Goomba, Sonic, and Knuckles, and they all play differently, for example, Peach can float.  Yoshi can flutterkick, and Goomba can't jump.  Knuckles can glide, and Sonic is really fast.  The gamemodes include:
GM1 - Regular gameplay, you can punch eachother or help eachother get passed obstacles, etc
GM2 - Same as GM1, but with the Fire Flower
GM3 - GM1 but without being able to punch or bounce off eachother
GM4 - Super Mario Prop Hunt, the people not it can turn into a variety of SM64 objects and hide amongst the worlds, while the person it has to find them
    GM6 - Tag

GM5, 7, and 8 are buggy or not implemented, and so shouldn't be attempted.

Those are just 2 of the more interested hacks, roms, and spoofy games I've come across that gained traction in their communities.

  3. I'm back, again!  After a shitload of crap happening, drama in the family, life events screwing me over, and the like, I am back to finish what I started.

The last one of these was supposed to be a questionaire sort of FAQ, where people asked questions and I answered them and posted the answers here.  That didn't really work out.  So I looked one up.

    Starting with the obvious:

    Name: Alya
    Age: 30
    Gender: Female (MtF)
    Location: Satan's Asshole (Florida)

Now for the more interesting (and less common) questions:

    Schooling: College Graduate
    Career: IT
Other fields of study: Opera, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Programming

NOW... for ACTUAL questions (because the others were kinda just... information gathering)

    1. What's your favourite game of all time?
1a. It's a tossup between Goof Troop for the SNES (first game I ever completed), Far Cry (loved them all), SM64, as a game I actually speedrun occasionally

    2. What is the first game you ever remember playing?
2a. Golden Eye on the N64.  I didn't have a console at the time, but my friend had just gotten an N64 from his dad, and he invited us all to play.  By the time I actually had the chance to join, they all had played a good deal, so they were capable at it, and I had no idea what to do.  So of course, to 'give me a chance' they took the time and gave me a chance to learn the game before they could kill me.  After my 5 minutes were up, I was fair game... and I pulled out a win.  Fell in love with gaming in an instant.

    3. What is the first console you ever owned?
3a. SNES.  The same friend who got an N64, had a SNES.  With the newer console, he decided he didn't want to play the basic graphics of an old SNES console, so for my birthday (Idr which), he gave me his SNES and all his games.  It was my favourite console of all time because it was the first one I could play constantly.

    4. Who is your favourite villain from a Video Game and why?
4a. Your sibling from Fable (3, I think?).  You spend the whole time learning about how awful a human being he is, only to find out that when you are in his position... you either become him, to save the most amount of your subjects, or you become a doting ruler, and when tragedy hits, your subjects die, leaving you with a small kingdom, and poverty.  It really shows the idea of perspective.  From the outside, he looks evil and manipulative.  From the other side, you see WHY he did it, and how his actions were to try to save his people.

    5. In your opinion, what is the best games console?
5a. PC.  Any oldschool console can be played through emulation on the PC.  Games on PC have a much easier time being modded, and mods can change even games with no replay value into a brand new game, with all new replayability.  That, and Mouse and Keyboard is amazing in numerous games, and much more capable in numerous games and genres.

I'll add more as I come across them or think of them.

  4. So I am simply curious.  Aside from Velheim, most of my time is taken up playing the new Pokemon games.  I started with Kanto, and Red (later blue and yellow) and have played every game through multiple times.  With the releases of Pokemon Home, and the new Crown Tundra DLC for it, I'm still working on building up a full Living Dex in my games, but I'm also trying to log all Pokemon and Shiny form in my Home.

Anyone else taken up this challenge, or do shiny farming in their spare time?

  5. If you use Nexus Mod Manager, it's actually fairly straightforward.  I highly recommend it.  Right now I only have like... a hundred or so mods installed, but I think my highest that actually loaded was about 320somethingish.
