    How to improve a future KoTS

    I personally feel that if a skilling event is done in the future it should:

    1. Be over the period of a month;
    2. Each account limited in playtime. 72 hours as an example.
    3. Well & Vote XP disabled completely for the game mode. As well as being affected by pulse cores.

     A future event would definitely be more appealing to newcomers and regulars alike if someone who say, doesn't have as much time to play could have just as much chance at winning over the course of a month until all playtime is used as someone who decides to grind 3 days straight no-sleep and make a new account to try and push further.

    gotta agree with what effy said, and wouldnt that completely defeat the purpose of a rsps in the first place? i mean go play real rs ;s

     

    Some people prefer slower experience rates on private servers. Just like some people prefer playing on an ironman on private server. Some call it challenging yourself, some call it having fun on the server they play.

    We understand your frustration, but putting it out here..? Out of all people, you should know better.

     

    My post was relevant to the topic. Inactive accounts are being deleted and removed from hiscore. I cannot log into mine for reasons previously known to the community (It was posted on the forum mid October). Is that the response I should've gotten from someone when I bring up an issue that you could improve upon? Basically "Hey you up and left don't come back" when that was hardly the case.

     I 100% do not support this if people really cared they would have stayed and not just got up in left without saying anything to anyone. The fact is players and even you did what was just stated so in my honest opinion I don't support this idea.

     

    Are you saying I shouldn't of had to move because of a hurricane and sell my belongings just to find a place to live?

    I'd login to save my name but my account is MAC-protected and seeing as I'm on a different computer in a completely different location as I was living it's impossible. Should consider a way to remove MAC protection somehow.

     

    One possible way could include a discord command from the account that's linked to the in-game account. Or a one-time recovery code of numbers/letters that's given when you MAC protect your account and you enter that combination on the Discord. (Example: ;;macunlock johndoe 8h7yf41p9) A new code is generated next time the account is MAC protected.

     

    Also, what steps are being taken for those players whose accounts are being pruned? Account login information shouldn't be pruned. Just reintroduce display name changes and free up the username. Make people whose names were removed be able to pick a new name so in some situation they do decide to come back, all their progress will still be there.

    This guide is to complete Varrock diary Easy through Elite steps in as little time as possible. If you want to contribute and have suggestions on improvements to the step-by-step to make this guide any quicker, feel free to post them.

     

     

    Min. Level Requirements
     
    Please note these requirements reflect what skills are required to complete the objectives and assumes you have gathered materials to complete the objectives by other means than yourself. If you're an ironman, these requirements will be higher and this section does not reflect levels you will need to obtain the items below in the next section. Combat is required to finish this so use your best gear and weapons and pray melee.

    • 25 pure essence
    • 11-20 feathers
    • 20 mahogany logs
    • 1 regular log
    • 1 rune bar
    • 1 adamant bar
    • 1 air orb
    • 1 battlestaff
    • 1 poison ivy seed

    • 1 earth talisman

    Walkthrough
     
    The numbers in bold are reference to the above images under Maps if you need them.

    Start with the following items in your inventory

    • Craft air battlestaff.
    • Click mining skill. Select Varrock east mines. Mine an iron ore.
    • (1)Run to Champions Guild, go inside. Exit       
    • (2)Rake weeds at Bush patch. Plant poison ivy seed.
    • Follow road south and jump over the fence.
    • Teleport using Varrock Teleport spell.
    • (3)Unequip everything. Talk to Thessalia. Click first option on all dialog.
    • (4)Buy newspaper from Benny near stalls by the fountain.
    • (5)Make Adamant helm at anvil near Benny. Make Rune bolts. Add feathers.
    • (6)Open the manhole and climb down. Climb back up.
    • (7)Talk to real estate agent, ask him to move house to Edgeville. Then ask him to redecorate house to    Tropical wood finish.
    • (8)Go up staircase in Varrock church, Talk to and give Elise the tea. Complete the dialog.
    • (9)Pickpocket a guard in Varrock palace.
    • (10)Open door to North-Western most room in the Palace and climb 2 staircases and 1 ladder.
    • (11);;market command then use shortcut to the North West. Go back through and run directly East
    • (12)Right click Spirit tree and click teleport. Select anywhere.
    • (13)Click Cooking skill and teleport to Cooking guild. Go inside (Chefs hat/Cooking or Max cape req) and   trade Romily. Buy Wild pie and exit interface. Talk to him and offer him the same pie.
    • Teleport to Varrock again with the spell.
    • (14)Go south and use Bone on Stay dog around Weapon shop.
    • (15)Talk to Apothecary directly West and have him make a Strength potion.
    • (16)Run East to Rune shop and right click 'Teleport' on Aubury.
    • ;;home command
    • Right click altar and Change spellbook to Ancient Magick's
    • Take the lodestone teleport to Edgeville.
    • (17)Trade Oziach
    • ;;slayer command
    • Get a task from Vannaka
    • Go West and enter Soul wars portal. Talk to Zimberfizz and select to exchange capes.
    • ;;slayer command
    • Open and climb down trapdoor South of Vannaka
    • Follow the Dungeon north then follow it directly East. Climb through the Pipe shortcut. (Edge DG map above)
    • Continue running East. Slice the web to the North.
    • ;;slayer command
    • (18)Run South towards Barbarian village. Fish at 'lure' near bridge for a Trout.
    • (19)Go into Stronghold of Security cave in center of Barbarian village. Complete maze claiming reward at    center of each floor. After 4th and last floor, use the Stomp emote.
    • ;;home/;;dz command to bank
    • Withdraw Earth talisman, 1 regular log and 20 mahogany log
    • Right click-Locate on Earth talisman
    • (20)Talk to Sawmill operator. Click the regular Log. Talk to him again, right click-All on Mahogany log.
    • (21)Squeeze under the fence on the West side of the Sawmill. Cut dying tree.
    • Right click-Locate on Earth talisman.
    • (22)Run directly South and enter the rift.
    • Right click-Locate on Earth talisman.
    • (23)Follow road North-East to mining site and mine limestone rock
    • ;;home/;;dz command to bank
    • Deposit all planks/logs. Withdraw 25 pure essence and chaos talisman
    • Right click-Locate on Earth talisman
    • (24)Enter the ruins and click the altar.
    • Right click-Locate on Earth talisman.
    • (25)Run a short distance South-West and enter the hole in the statue. Follow path North West and enter Portal
    • ;;home/;;dz command to bank
    • Withdraw combat gear/supplies. Click Notes tab, click Boss Teleports and select Bork. Enter the nearby   portal. Defeat Bork.
    • (2)Lodestone teleport to Varrock. Check on the bush. If it's grown all you'll see is weeds. Click on the patch to harvest.

     

    Finishing up

    Talk to Ratt burgiss who is located down the road south of Varrock to claim easy rewards. Talk to Reldo in Varrock palace library to claim medium rewards. Use ;;slayer command and talk to Vannaka to claim both hard and elite rewards.

    I'm not a fan of how fast invention xp is. I feel it's one of the skills xp rates that shouldn't be scaled to game mode and be the same across all games as it's an elite skill. The pretty much skip the majority of the skill right to end-game as it stands.
