I see your concerns for practicality, but I'm just calling it now, I think a Classic will end up winning most of the prizes and you'll have people claiming it as unfair since they have a pretty large advantage. Which is valid because it genuinely isn't fair at that point.

Sounds like a great idea. However, game modes should be separated to keep things equal due to some game modes having boosted drop rates. If they're not separated, the wins are nearly guaranteed to go to classic players that already have stellar gear to get quick kills. Also, GWD2 bosses (including Telos unless you restrict it to starting at a low enrage) should be excluded too since players that have already done a lot of PVM will have an advantage there with the boosted rates. Other than those two things, this sounds like a good event idea.
