From October 28th, 2026 (12:00PM server time) until two weeks later, players on all worlds will have the chance to assemble a brand-new, limited event Golden Cape by collecting Golden Cape shards from various activities and locations.

This event is similar to that of the Golden Partyhat Hunt.

How the Hunt Works

During the event:

🔹 Collect 8 out of 9 unique shards

🔹 Combine them through the Wise Old Man

🔹 Claim your exclusive Golden Cape reward

You do not need all 9 shards — choose your path and play your way.

The Wise Old Man will be waiting outside the Grand Exchange in Varrock to guide you and provide your first shard.

Ways to Obtain Shards

• Each shard represents a different activity style. Whether you're a skiller, PvMer, clue hunter, or GP mogul — there's something for you.

1. Host Shard

• Talk to the Wise Old Man at the Grand Exchange for a free shard to begin your journey.

2. Wealth Shard

• There’s a certain shady NPC at the Grand Exchange who might be persuaded…

All it takes is 25,000,000 GP in one go.

3. Combat Shard

• Train any combat skill to get a chance at the golden cape shard.

4. Gathering Shard

• Train any gathering skill to get a chance at the golden cape shard.

5. Artisan Shard

• Train any artisan skill to get a chance at the golden cape shard.
