    Good to be back, just in time for TXP! That was delicious.

     

    I also forgot the forum existed for like a month, yeah I'm not good at replying to people unless I get notifications in my face xD

    But hey my intro post is long lost and locked so here I am.

     

    Hello again, nerds.

    I'm back but as the topic says, I never really left, I've been bobbing on occasionally and keeping my client up to date, just have had a chaotic RL and sowwy but Velheim was low on the priority list :3

     

    Now things have sort of calmed down, I'm back to my classic grind of all things, randomly, inefficiently and largely in stages of 10 levels so I can craft the sweet sweet swag of milestone capes xD

     

    Also now I have 3 cats.

    If I'm not on VH or my consoles, that's where I am.

    I main Dark Knight but also love Machinist and all the crafting and gathering I can do.
    Recently moved back to Louisoix, the French Granddad server.

    Personally, I don't think there's a point to making a seperate chat channel.
    I think it's great having an equivalent of a world chat as it's one thing I missed in RS3 compared to other MMOs I've played. It always felt like I was playing alone there and here, I know there's others.

    One point is, to be brutally honest, never, ever expect players of any private server of any game to be as PG-13 as official. It's a naive attitude to have and I'm speaking from experience of uh, probably twenty plus p.servers over a few games. The very nature of what we're playing and how means we're a more... relaxed and adult community (Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we're a more mature community, we're immature dickheads who like tiddy jokes.) most of us don't want quite so rigid rules as in official communities.

    Bottom line, 99% of things I've asked ever and seen others ask have been answered, yes there's some bants and troll answers, a lot of people telling you to just ;;wiki it (but that's a valid answer, like, do some bloody work to help yourself, people), but there's usually a legitimate answer in there somewhere and you know the player helpers and moderators don't really troll. Minor bants at worst imo. Other players aren't obligated to even answer you, let alone give you correct information. That's just life.

    Tl;dr: No need. Don't like the community, don't join it.

    Welp, it's been a year already since I joined VH :much_rejoicing:

    In that time, I've managed to (almost, due to my derp) max out a 200x alt, buy every single perk, a legendary pet, 3 EaS picks (don't ask) and STILL don't have level 80 in everything, so that's my current goal.

    Aside from that, well, I'm casually levelling the 200x though he's mostly a spare bank for my hoarding (again, don't ask and Mods, please don't peek at my bank for your own sanity) to get more prestiges.

    Hopefully I'll get all 80s soon, only 7 skills left to squeeze the last bit up to 80 in, then I can make my uber swaggers cape of all 80s that absolutely nobody will give me any kind of kudos for!

    I've managed to do all this without actually spending a dime, which is my main reason for playing VH and not RS3! So, thank you for making it possible to play for a casual, broke nerd like me <3 It's really appreciated to play a p.server that's not P2W.


    This is probably my 6 monthly excuse to post on the forum, so see ya in game, dorks!

    I'm absolutely fine with waiting for the POF update. I always much prefer quality updates over quantity.

    There's a finite number of things you can do, so don't rush to do them all ASAP. That goes for development and playing.

    Unless Deflect has the 50%, but Protect has 100%? 

    If it protects 100% then how come I still need to heal?
    I think it's more complex, probably a curve that means at higher tier gears, it seems like 100%.

    I love being able to fulfil my skilling needs with a bunch of features that make life so much easier, I really missed RS3 but I doubt I'll ever go back now I've been spoilt by Velheim.
    The community usually makes me chuckle on the daily too.
