Wilderness Warbands is a dangerous Distraction and Diversion, composed of heavily defended storage camps guarded by the followers of the different Gods, though they fight more for glory and not for the gods themselves. These camps are founded to gain an advantage for the followers of a particular God once their God returns. They will set up camp in the Wilderness every seven hours, one time at each of the three locations. Quercus, an ancient seer ent, will send out adventurers to fight in the camps to balance the followers of the different Gods in Guthix's name. Quercus can be found just outside the Varrock Grand Exchange agility shortcut. Wilderness Warbands give large amounts of experience in Farming, Construction, Herblore, Mining, or Smithing. While no combat is necessary and no items are needed to loot, it is still recommended to have a high combat level before attempting a warband as any player can attack a player whose inventory contains any warband supplies. Mining is a gathering skill that allows players to extract ores, gems, rune essence, geodes, and other resources from rocks throughout the map. Mined ores can be smelted at a furnace, turning them into bars that can be made into metal objects using the Smithing skill, Construction skill, or Crafting skill. Invention, an elite skill, allows players to get new materials by disassembling items. Players can use the materials to manufacture discoverable devices, and augment some high-level armour, weapons and tools with perks. Players require level 80 Crafting, Divination and Smithing to access Invention. Invention works on a different experience table than the rest of the skills. Woodcutting (often abbreviated as WC or WCing) is a gathering skill that involves chopping down different types of trees and vegetation. For each type of tree, a minimum Woodcutting level and a hatchet are required to cut it. With each increase in level, a player will be able to cut trees faster. Woodcutting speed also increases for every improvement in hatchet used, from bronze to crystal. Trees are easy to find, as they are located all throughout map (the exceptions to this are Morytania and the Wilderness, where many of the trees cannot be chopped down, only examined). An uncommon, high level tree, such as a yew tree, will have its position indicated on the mini-map and world map with a special tree icon. To cut a tree, players have to find one and then left-click on it. When the player is done cutting, they can then set the logs on fire with a tinderbox to obtain Firemaking experience, fletch them, or sell them to other players. Divination is a gathering and manufacturing skill that was developed by humans shortly after the beginning of the Sixth Age. It involves gathering Guthix's residual life force, which is leaking throughout Gielinor. To do this, the players gather divine energy from wisps and then use this energy to make items such as portents, signs, and divine locations. Agility is a support skill which gives access to various shortcuts around the map. More shortcuts become accessible as the player's Agility level increases. A higher Agility level also causes the player's energy to recharge quicker naturally, when resting, and when listening to a musician. The main way to gain experience in Agility is for the player to complete an agility course. Agility courses are loops of simple obstacles. Beware that prestige is a free option for players. You don't have to prestige if you don't want to. It's a way for players who max out fast and don't want to play on a harder game mode, to continue the grind and enjoy the game. I personally think it will bring more people to the game and will keep them on longer.
