Update Log #101 - Bank overhaul, lots of GUI changes, Shooting Star overhaul and misc. stuff

Got my hands on a clientscript editor as promised from the previous Store sale; was learning the ins and outs of how scripts function, how they're read, how they're built, how they're used and how they should be written. Was fun 2 weeks.

Promised Slayer/Reaper store overhauls, and ED2 will be postponed until I get my shit sorted - read here

As always, this update log contains any previous ninja logs.

 

Archaeology

  • Increased the chance at which materials are gained when Screening Soil at the Archaeology campus;
  • You can now acquire an 'Invitation box' item from Silvarea, near a chest. The item can be used to teleport to the Empyrean Citadel for multiple Material cache types;
  • You will no longer be able to obtain more imcando metal pieces if you own all 4 already;

Bank Overhaul

  • The Bank interface should now function much smoother than before;
  • The search option will now re-enable when clicked on allowing you to search multiple times;
  • The Bank interface item right-click options will now automatically scale based on the amount of items you have, ie. having 6 coal will only display withdraw 1 and withdraw 5;
  • The Bank interface item right-click options will now include a 'Wear' item option directly from the bank if the item is equip-able;
  • Added placeholders along with a button to toggle them on/off;
  • Right-click 'Wear' an item will leave a placeholder regardless of your placeholder option;
  • Loading presets will leave placeholders regardless of your placeholder option;
  • Withdrawing an item will leave an 'Empty slot' in its place. All empty slots will be removed when you exit out of your bank and all your items in each tab will 'shift' to the left;
  • The empty slots can be dragged to switch/insert other items, and any new deposited item will take its place;
  • Empty slots will also automatically disappear if you switch bank tabs, and as with closing out of bank - all items will shift to the left;
  • The 'Withdraw-last' option (last withdrawn-X amount) on an items right click will now only show up after you've withdrawn more than 1 with the withdraw-x function;
  • You can now right-click the newly added placeholders button to 'Release-placeholders', which will remove all item placeholders in your bank and automatically shift all items to the left;
  • Bank Booster's are now trade-able (except on the Grand Exchange);
  • Removed the numpad ability to load presets as for some reason the key values are the same of the arrow keys;

Buff Bar

  • Moved the (de)buff timer overlay slightly lower so it does not overlap with other interfaces;
  • Fixed a few missing/incorrect buff sprites;
  • Buff's without an actively set 'sprite' to them will no longer show up as empty slots on the overlay;

Combat & related - Player

  • Inquisitor's staff, Hexhunter bow and the Terrasaur maul wil now correctly function against the NPC's they were meant to be used for (NPC-class defining is now grabbed directly from the cache);
  • Two-handed weapon second strike's will now deal slightly less damage than your current max-hit;
  • Slightly increased the penalty you receive for using higher tier ammunition than your current ranged weapon's tier;
  • Added a slight delay that will prevent fast two-handed weapons from always attacking twice (ie. Hexhunter bow will hit twice every 2nd attack, while as a Seren godbow will always hit twice);
  • Casting combat Magic spells will no longer grant base Magic EXP;

Combat & related - NPC

  • K'ril Tsutsaroth's prayer draining attack will now do soft typeless damage (up to 661 damage), used when target player has prayers active, plus the attack will drain players prayer in half;
  • Kree'Arra can now randomly move the player around the room (also made her tornado projectiles physically visible);
  • Seeker charms no longer guarantee a Superior Soulgazer's spawn, instead, it'll only increase the chance;
  • Kal'gerion Demons will now follow close and will be able to attack with their melee attacks from a-far;
  • Added another check for when killing Entities; if the killer (most damage outputting entity) ends up as someone's Familiar then the killer would be set to the familiar's owner;
  • Queen Black Dragon's timed attacks will no longer damage the player if: QBD is dead, QBD has finished, player has exited, or player has finished (logged out);
  • The Aggression potion effect will now work in a 8x8 square radius;
  • Increased Stalker Essence drop amount, and moved rarity to common table;
  • Lootbeam trigger price for ironmen has been reverted to use Grand Exchange values;

Construction

  • Scrapped our old Tablet Creation interface (Construction) and made a custom new one. With this change - the 'Keepin tabs on Varrock' Hard Varrock achievement has been enabled;
  • Fixed an issue that prevented people from joining other player Houses;
  • Logging out and then back in while in your House will now properly place you outside your House location's portal;

Grand Exchange

  • Added a small 'Loading offers' text when opening Player Listings tab or searching for items, and a 'No offers found' text when your search failed;
  • The Main G.E. interface will now allow you to instantly put up your items for sale from the inventory. This will make an offer in the first free slot of the next free tab you have available (if any);

GUI

  • Improved on the Heart of Gielinor (GWD2) kill-count overlay: corrected all messed up components, the overlay can now be maximized/minimized, moved it slightly lower so the 'action options' can be seen properly (mouse hover options top-left);
  • Re-designed the 'Action Progress overlay' for it to fit nicely into the top-left corner of your screen;
  • Edited Araxxor's text overlay displaying information about your current fight status so it does not overlap with the buff overlay;
  • Added a privacy mode setting to the extra account settings game tab. Disabling this will no longer allow other players to examine you;
  • The skills tab will now display how much Bonus XP you have in each skill;
  • New skills now show their real names instead of 'this skill';
  • The skills tab will now display how much XP remains until next level if your level is >= 99 (slayer, invention, archaeology);
  • You can now set target levels/EXP for the new skills;
  • Added EXP drops (when enabled), level-up graphics and all new unlock messages for your newly gained level - for all new skills (Divination, Invention, Archaeology);
  • Updated ALL skill guides to match current RuneScapes one;
  • The Smithing Interface will now resize its scroll-bar based on the products available to make;

Guthixian Cache

  • Switching game tabs while in the Guthixian cache mini-game will now properly refresh the Quest Journams game tab on re-open;
  • Cache reward boosts will now be doubled if you own the Divinization game perk;

Shooting Stars

  • Changed the daily activity count to be the same as the Evil tree's (more new star interactions based on rank per day);
  • Increased the maximum amount of Stardust the player can have at a time from 200 to 1'000;
  • Replaced the Star's end reward with a new custom shop that contains: Golden Mining outfit, Gilded pickaxes and Imcando pickaxe fragments (you will not be able to buy an item that you already own);
  • The tier of pickaxe you have will now directly affect the speed of Mining the star;
  • You will no longer be able to 'discover', or mine, the star if your Mining level is not high enough;
  • Removed Earth and Song pickaxe from Thaler store. It can now be made at any anvil by combining an Imcando pickaxe and a Crystal pickaxe along with a blast fusion hammer;
  • The Imcando pickaxe can now be made by Thurgo if you bring him a Gilded Dragon pickaxe, all 4 Imcando pickaxe fragments, 1M gold coins and a redberry pie;
  • Making an Imcando pickaxe at least once (this will maybe be changed into 'making the earth and song pickaxe), and owning the full Golden Mining outfit - is now a Trimmed Completionist cape requirement;

Superior Slayer encounters (Elite NPC's)

  • Superior Slayer monsters will now announce as their original NPC's name when: received a rare drop item, increase kill counts;
  • Added Elite Edimmu's. They'll be able to spawn after killing regular Edimmu's (same way as any other Superior/Elite). Elite Edimmu's will also be able to drop the Edimmu pet;
  • Elite NPC's will no longer physically 'drop' their loot 5 times resulting in weird behaviour, they will instead roll on their table 5 times;
  • Fixed an issue with Rune Dragons not being able to spawn their Elite version;

Miscellaneous

  • Upgraded cache revision to 916 (latest RS update from 02/08/2021 (8th February);
  • Removed Vorago's public room, instance dialogue's spawn speed options and reduced the instance cost to 250k. Ironmen can now join other player instances since this is a group boss;
  • Items that require divine charge to be augmented (end-game degrade-ables) can now be augmented when the item is in used or broken states;
  • Added a Grand Exchange offer check for transferring donations. Players will have to cancel out all active offers before transferring;
  • Added the Christmas Loot beam token along with the beam it-self activate-able from the beam options in Account Settings interface (Quest Tab);
  • All help friend chat sent messages will be seen in other help chats (ie. being in help 2 will also send your message to help 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.);
  • Increased the War's Retreat boss portal attune coin price to 500k;
  • Added Rock Elemental NPC's to the Elemental Workshop. They will be able to drop ALL elemental equipment;
  • Removed the Recipe for Disaster 'mini-quest' along with everything related to it as it was dull and unnecessary. The chest has been moved down to Lumbridge's cellar and can be used by everyone at any stage of the game;
  • You can now go down to the Experiment cave South-East from Fenkenstrain's Castle to access.. Experiments. As well as to get to the Mausoleum to access a Hidey hole;
  • Improved on NPC-interaction path-finding. Your character will now automatically walk to the end-point of your currently selected NPC (if it's random-walking);
  • Telos's pet (Tess) will now display the player's maximum Telos enrage;
  • Added an option for whether the Investigator game perk should bank all Clue Scroll's received from drops and skilling to the Treasure Trail Information board (Clue Scroll hub, South of Grand Exchange). By default this option is turned off;
  • Moved Herblore and Firemaking to separate classes for Dungeoneering actions;

Fixes

  • Augmented Inferno adzes may now be used for Mining;
  • Fixed the Dwarf multi-cannon 'instant-break' (forgot to set the timer back from my testing);
  • Nex's minions will now drop their loot 1 tile closer to the middle so the player could pick it up;
  • The Cresbot item can now be 'poked' to unlock the Cresbot pet;
  • Custom-fit trimmed spiked masterwork can now be augmented;
  • Mizuyari can now be repaired with Bob;
  • War's Retreat will no longer teleport you inside the Zaros chamber next to Nex's entrance in the Godwars Dungeon if you do not have a frozen key with charges;
  • Repairing Reaper jewellery will now change the item to its trade-able version if it gets charged to 100%;
  • Manifested Knowledge's will now grant Lamp-based EXP rather than the regular formula (game-mode modifier will still apply to the EXP given);
  • Camo cosmetics (ones from the Random Event) can no longer be traded;
  • Made sure a lot of Diango items no longer conflict with Construction's Costume Room containers;
  • Ironmen may now join other player Elite Dungeon instances;
  • Teleport override tokens are now trade-able;
  • Dungeoneering Puzzle rooms that require player to have a boosted level now properly checks for player's virtual level as well as any boosts obtained from potions;
  • Dragon Trinkets should now correctly note dragon bone drop's, and will no longer work on other 'bones' when killing dragons (ie. big bone drop from RDT will be ignored now);
  • The Enhanced Excalibur will now equip as a shield rather than a weapon;
  • Using teleport spells that do not require any runes will no longer send messages of your runes being saved by any means;
  • The Assist system should now work for most item combination level requirements (let me know if there's more missing);
  • Kurask, Cockatrice & Basilisk heads are no longer trade-able;
  • Woodcutting will now properly check for object's menu options, and will now only class as a Woodcutting option if the object contains a Chop down entry;
  • Noted degrade-able items will no longer break when touching the floor;
  • The Attuned Ectoplasmator will now degrade correctly when out of charges;
  • Fixed an issue with deploying skilling dummies;
  • Goblin mail can no longer be equipped;
  • Re-added Mawnis Burowgar to Neitiznot isle to purchase Helm's of Neitiznot from;
  • All Parasols will now properly store in Diango's storage;
  • Sinew will no longer have a chance at burning (Cooking skill);
  • All Nex's boots/gloves will now properly follow the base degradation formula;
  • Made the Observatory dungeon staircases functional;
  • You can now climb the West Falador low wall Agility shortcut;
  • Added the missing Dedicated Slayer aura effects.
