Founder Sandstorm Posted November 25 Founder Share Posted November 25 These changes will go LIVE once our Fresh Start World launches, and more changes will be added as individual replies to this announcement! Fresh Start World Launch Skill levels AND Boss rooms will be locked depending on the week # after launch, specifics can be seen in the Fresh Start World announcement thread: here ; The first 50 players to reach levels 99 and 120 in each game-mode will receive an inverted skillcape/mastercape token of that respective skill. These tokens can be used to unlock an inverted color cape cosmetic override, or traded to a different account; The players achieving one of the first 50's will also be able to claim those cape tokens on World 2. This addition is targeted to our veteran players who choose to remain on the legacy world; FSW Economy changes These activity rewards have had their coin amounts reduced: Crystal Chest, Wilderness Warband exchange, Evil Tree, Pick-pocketing NPC's, Treasure Trail caskets; Treasure Trail rare item reward chances have been lowered by ~25%. Same goes for the Giant Oyster; Most regular NPC rare item drop-rates have been lowered, but boss pet rates slightly increased; AFK Zone Slightly re-designed the home area to have room for an AFK zone; Players who have voted in the last 24 hours may enter the zone and use its objects; There's a custom object placed in the zone for each of our skills (except base combat ones); Every action grants base 2.5 EXP and 1 x 'Lost token'; Lost tokens can be exchanged for a variety of skilling outfits that were previously only obtained from the Squeal of Fortune; Players in the AFK zone will NOT be kicked to the lobby due to the regular AFK timer; The zone is by no means meant to be used for active training, it is simply a small addition for players who have to do something else in another game or IRL. This way they can still participate in Vote parties, use their silverhawks, gain some passive tokens, etc.; Grand Exchange (FSW Specific) The Grand Exchange has been disabled entirely and a player-owned shop system will be put in place after the initial stages of Fresh Start World concludes (week 5 and up); Player offers that have not seen the offers creator log in for at least 2 weeks will now be hidden, essentially 'disabled' until that player logs in again; Game Modes (FSW specific) The Novice mode has been hidden and will not be able to be selected upon start; (FSW specific) EXP rates have been 'normalized' across the multiple ironman modes; (FSW specific) Drop-rate boosts will no longer be applied to modes that share the normal mode EXP multiplier, only slower EXP rate modes will have those said boosts; New players will now automatically receive a title based on the game-mode they've picked; Group Ironman Added a hint icon for new players hinting at the GIM board; Added 'Journey Tiers' that go up until level 10. Each tier has different requirements to reach, and can be seen in the new 'Achievements' section of the Group Ironman Board. Reaching tier 10 will broadcast a server-wide announcement; Group members may now leave the group whenever they choose to, however, they will not be able to re-join that group later on; Made some slight changes to the group storage similar to how RS3 does it: Automatically close after 5 minutes of being open; Visually removed a few buttons; Storage size will now start at 30 slots, and expand as the group progresses. Everything will function normally for groups with existing storages that exceed this limit, however, they won't be able to store any new items; A lot of untradeable items can now be stored in the storage; Prifddinas The whole area has been made into a special area controller. This doesn't actually change anything content-wise, just makes it easier for me to add/remove/edit things; Added 'Voices of Seren'. These are basically district-specific buffs in Prifddinas that rotate hourly on the hour; The 2 currently active voices will be displayed in a brand new overlay in the top left corner of your screen. Hovering your mouse over any of the icons will show a detailed description of what they do; District Effects - All: 20% extra base experience from pickpocketing the respective workers; An increased chance to find golden rocks in the respective clan's skill. A chance for a crystal impling to spawn at the herald of one of the affected clans (this can happen multiple times during the illumination). District Effects - Amlodd: 20% more base Summoning XP from making pouches and scrolls, as well as creating 20% more scrolls per pouch (12 for normal pouches and 24 total for a binding contract). 20% more base Divination XP from converting shadow cores, as well as a chance to spawn a chronicle fragment upon killing a truthful, blissful, or manifest shadow. District Effects - Cadarn: Upon defeating a Cadarn ranger or magus, 200 Ranged or Magic experience is gained respectively regardless of the combat style used. District Effects - Crwys: 20% more base Woodcutting XP from cutting ivy, magic logs, and yew logs. All bird's nest drops are replaced with crystal geode, though this does not require 94 woodcutting. 20% more base Farming XP from planting, checking, and harvesting from the bush, herb and elder tree patches. Crops in the district also have a chance of skipping growth stages. A chance to spawn a Guthixian butterfly when harvesting from or checking the health of crops in the district. District Effects - Hefin: 20% more base Agility XP whilst training agility on the Hefin Agility Course. While doing laps on the Hefin Agility Course, an additional 25% of base Agility experience is gained in the Prayer skill for each action performed. Experience boosts, such as bonus experience and the first age set do work. Hefin course multipliers also grant additional Prayer XP. 20% more base Prayer XP from cleansing the Corrupted Seren Stone. District Effects - Iorwerth: Upon defeating an Iorwerth guard or scout, 100 Attack and Strength experience is gained regardless of the combat style used. District Effects - Ithell: 20% more base Crafting and Construction XP from training using the harps. The harps have a significantly lower chance of losing tune while playing. 20% more base Crafting XP from crafting crystal flasks. 50% chance for each mined soft clay to be transported directly to the player's bank. This takes precedence over sign of the porter effects. District Effects - Meilyr: 20% more base Farming XP from planting and checking the fruit tree patch, and from checking the harmony pillars. Trees planted in the district will have a chance of skipping growth stages. 20% more Herblore XP from making combination potions. District Effects - Trahaearn: 20% more Smithing XP when smelting corrupted ore. At the start of the hour, each ore rock, excluding gem rocks, has a 1/15 chance of being replaced by a dark or light animica rock. The replaced rock will remain in the world until the end of the hour. 20% chance to award extra ore when mining rocks in the district. 20% more base Farming XP from planting and checking the tree patch, as well as a chance of the tree skipping growth stages. Senntisten (GWD3) & Related Pontifex Observation rings can now be made at an Archaelogy workbench by combining a pontifex signet ring with a blank observation purchased from May's Caravan. This ring provides Tier 1 luck, +1% Divination EXP and Increased Chronicle Fragment spawn rates; If you've made an observation ring and have lost it, it can be reclaimed from Ariane in Kharid-Et, near the Praetorium War table; Pontifex Shadow rings can now be made at an Archaeology workbench by combining the previously made observation ring with a cut dragonstone. This ring provides Tier 2 luck, +1% Divination EXP, increased Chronicle fragment spawn rates, and the ability to receive Elder Trove drop rolls from activities within Senntisten (GWD3); If you've made a shadow ring and have lost it, it can be reclaimed from Wahisietel in Senntisten Cathedral; The Pontifex Shadow ring can be 'imbued' by right-clicking it (though it'll cost some GP) to make it into an enriched ring. This ring provides Tier 3 luck, +3% Divination EXP, Further increased Chronicle Fragment spawn rates, drop-rate increase in Senntisten (GWD3) as well as the previously mentioned Elder Trove drop rolls; The Shadow ring (and the enchanted version) can be upgraded up to tier 6 by using Resonant Anima (obtained from activities within Senntisten), with each tier providing even more benefits and upgrades than the last. Wahisietel can also overcharge your ring after you've upgraded it to tier 6, which makes it so that you no longer have to have the ring equipped for all effects to take place; Added all Elder Troves of all tiers and their corresponding loot tables. These are basically mystery boxes full of resources obtained from various NPC drops and activities while having the Pontifex Shadow ring on you (or overcharged); Shadow ring upgrade tiers increase the Elder Trove tiers and their drop frequency within Senntisten. At tier 6 you'll also receive +2% EXP, +2% drop-rate for all NPC's and Tier 3 Troves will have a chance to yield Fragments of Pernix's Quiver; A new ammunition slot item has been added: Pernix's Quiver. It can be made by combining 100 of the previously mentioned fragments, can be redyed with any of the basic dyes, can store 2 ammunition types, and has a passive effect that increases Ranged max damage output by +4% against targets under 25% health; Players will start receiving tradeable resonant anima when they've used the initial 1,000 of that type on their shadow ring; MTX Decided to re-add the cosmetic override unlocking directly from the cosmetic overrides interface. Players may once again directly purchase any override (sets or individuals) with Velheim Coins (as long as its not an event, token item, or a special outfit); (FSW specific) Ironmen can no longer use the Squeal of Fortune, nor earn or receive any spins for it; (FSW specific) The Solomon's General Store might be removed, still thinking of a better way to handle all the items that are inside of it; Skillcapes Inverted cape tokens may now be used to unlock the Inverted cape token variant; Inverted capes may be toggled on and off under the 'Skillcapes' section of the 'Extra Account Settings' tab. Using tokens will also prompt players on how to toggle this setting. Only hooded variants will display, and there are no 'retro' style inverted ones; The Inverted capes are physical items on RuneScape and are purchaseable after the respective token has been used, decided to simply make it an 'override' in the Player's appearance generator to save bank space; If You're one of the first 50 players to achieve levels 99/120 on your gamemode, you will be able to claim these new tokens from 'Miles' NPC located at home; Our Veteran players will also be able to claim the same tokens from Miles on World 2; The new tokens are only tradeable through the regular trade system, they cannot be used on other players, nor dropped; The 'Detach' option on Hooded Skillcapes will now split the hoods off capes as intended; Purchasing Skillcapes from NPC's or vendors will now automatically attach the hoods onto them. Many players do not know about this feature, plus it saves an extra container slot; 'Max' NPC will now open up the Skillcape shop when trading them; Vote System Added a new 'event' that triggers every 1,000 server votes - the Vote Boss (formerly known as the Giant Mimic); Once the vote threshold has been reached players will have 2 minutes to prepare for it (accompanied with a world broadcast), and able to teleport directly to it via new command ';;vmb' (vote manager boss); The bosses hitpoints will scale according to the total players online, and everyone who has dealt at least some damage to it will receive drop rolls; The boss area is safe for Hardcore ironmen, and is a 'public boss room' in regards of 'Boss Instancing'; Wilderness PvP in the Wilderness is now an 'opt-in/opt-out' scenario, by default the setting will be turned off; Added 'Vala' NPC along with their full dialogue, they'll be able to toggle the PvP setting on and on for you. Vala can be found in Edgeville, near the small bridge leading to the Grand Exchange shortcut tunnel; Removed hobgoblin spawns in the hobgoblin mines (level 35 wildy); Added Abyssal Demon spawns South of the Hobgoblin Mines; Removed Blue Dragon spawns West of the Hobgoblin Mines, and replaced them with Dark Beasts; Removed all old NPC spawns in the Lava Maze, replaced them with Hellhounds and Ripper Demons spawns; Removed poison spiders and greater demons from the Lava Maze dungeon, and replaced them with more Ripper Demon spawns; Added even more Ripper Demon spawns West of Demonic Ruins; Removed Ice Giant and Ice Warrior spawns in Ice Plateau, and placed a few Glacor spawns between Ice Plateau and West Lava Maze gates; Added Soulgazert spawns North-West of the Charming Moth Hunter area; Removed Red Spider spawns North of the Lava Maze and replaced them with Hydrix Dragons; Removed all Deep Wilderness Dungeon NPC spawns, replaced them with Dragonstone, Onyx and Hydrix Dragons; Added Acheron Mammoth spawns on West and East sides of the Agility course; Added a lot of Hellhound spawns all around the Wilderness; The Cursed Wisp crater and Cursed Wisp NPC spawns have been removed entirely. The remaining Cursed Energy and memories will still function normally for players who're still holding onto any; The teleport block in Wilderness will no longer prevent players from teleporting away above the level 20 wildy mark IF they have not opted-in for PvP; Wilderness entry warnings will no longer display for players not opted in for PvP; All Cosmetic Overrides will function normally in the Wilderness as long as you're opted out for PvP; Miscellaneous Added a simple dialogue message upon logging in reminding players that they can vote; The Battle Pass has been removed entirely. I might return to it at some point in the future if players do actually want it, but it did more bad than good in the long run with the fear of missing out daily shenanigans; Lucy, the untradables store, has been replaced by 'May', from May's Caravan. Players will be able to buy all quest items directly from her (note: coin and total level requirements will still have to be met to purchase items); Changed the starter package new players receive; The Giant Mimic has been put to rest. Players will no longer be able to receive kill tokens to enter its lair either; The 'Notes' game-tab has been removed, and will be re-purposed in the future for a different functionality; Added the War's Retreat Boss hiscore signpost to most Boss entry rooms, the GUI in each location will attempt to automatically select that boss room's hiscores; Solved a couple issues with Castle Wars freezing the whole server, and re-enabled the mini-game. Fingers crossed no more issues; Players that are AFK for longer periods of time will be sent to the lobby screen; (FSW specific) Prestiging is no longer a thing on the new world. I'm not happy with how the original system turned out to be, so I might return it with fresh changes IF players want it; Cursed, Ancient spellbook and Lunar spellbook codexes can now be purchased from the Vote Point store (Wise Old Man). The Vital Sparks required to make these codexes have also been halved; 2 Spoiler
