Guthixian Caches - Quickstart Guide and General Strategies/Tips

Guthixian Caches are the best source of divination XP currently available in Velheim. It also provides a buff that lasts up to 40 mins which enhances your energy harvesting rates and XP rates for normal divination. This guide is meant to clear up any confusion and provide some strategies to rack up points as quickly as possible.

tl;dr Instructions
- Use the ;;gct command to teleport to a wisp colony
- Enter the cache by right clicking the energy rift and selecting enter
- The goal is to obtain 100 points before the cache expires (10 mins)
- Gain points by taking a memory from the outer wall and dumping it into the hole in the middle while avoiding the Automatons
- Gain points by transforming into Cres and subduing Automatons
- Exit once you have 100 points by using the hole in the middle

Visual Guide
Here is a visual representation of the placement of things inside the minigame (RS3 and Velheim are not the same!)

General Information
There are 12 Automatons guarding the center
There are 3 types of Automatons
     - A
ncient (Level 1) worth 1 point
     - Confused (Level 45) worth 2 points
     - Enraged (Level 85) worth 3 points

Automations won't leave the general area that I've marked and color-coded on the visual above
Memories are located along the outside wall either in the wall or on the floor near the walls
There are 4 Cres transformation statues located in the 4 corners of the room
You can only transform into Cres for 60 seconds
There is a 60 second cooldown to transform into Cres
While in Cres mode, you can click on Automatons to subdue them for 30 seconds and gain points
Automatons can't block players from carrying memories while subdued

When entering the cache, you will spawn in the C1 area
You can activate a power to double all points for 24 seconds (human mode) or 12 seconds (Cres mode)
Cres can activate a power to instantly subdue all Automatons in the room and gaining the equivalent points
Human form has access to a power that makes you immune to Automatons

Strategy
Based on the information above, we can develop a strategy to obtain 100 points in under 3 mins
I will be using the visual above to mark the paths to take and will indicate times to activate the Cres powers

Optimal Solo/Duo Path (Greedy/Solo Path)
[Human] Start C1 (default) and move to NE corner to activate Cres
[Cres] D4>C4>B4>A4>A3>A2>A1>B1>C1>D1>D2>D3>2XStart>D4>C4>B4>A4>A3>2XEnd>A2>A1
3+2+3+1+1+1+2+1+1+1+1+1+6+4+6+2+2+1+2=41 Points
[Human] Run 4 memories in the A2 spot, then run to NW Cres statue and activate 2X
3*4=12+41=53 Points
[Cres] A4>B4>C4>D4>D3>D2>D1>C1>B1>A1>Wait 30 seconds>2XStart>Subdue All>Exit
2+6+4+6+2+2+2+1+1+2+36=64+53=117 Points

Notes
- The path offers the option to out the 1 point Automatons in the corners, but if the corner Automatons are roaming near the center, just subdue them anyways
- Sometimes pathing will cause you to be 1/2 Automatons slower, but this path has some built-in wiggle room to reach 100 points
- This path is risky because you move to NE corner to begin and a second player would be unaware and could begin their own Cres path

My Recommended Solo/Duo Path (Teamwork Path)
[Human] Start C1 (default) and move to SW corner to activate Cres
[Cres] A1>A2>A3>A4>B4>C4>D4>D3>D2>D1>C1>B1>A1>A2>A3>2XStart>A4>B4>C4>D4>D3>D2
2+1+1+1+3+2+3+1+1+1+1+1+2+1+1+6+4+6+2+1=41 Points
[Human] Run 4 memories in the E4 spot, then run to NE Cres Statue and activate 2X (do not transform until you get the 2X bonus)
3*4=12+41=53 Points
[Cres] D4>C4>B4>A4>A3>A2>A1>Wait 30 seconds>2XStart>Subdue All>Exit
6+4+6+2+2+2+4+36=62+53=115 Points

Notes
- I recommend this path since the first Automaton you take out is visible to the C1 spawn point. Any player that arrives and is paying attention should see the downed Automaton and know to wait out the Cres timer. This also paths by A2 almost immediately, which unblocks the A2 memory for the other player(s) in human mode.
- This path is slower/riskier because it's more difficult to obtain the 4x memories in human mode required to activate the double point bonus before you enter Cres mode for the second time on this path

General Tips/Tricks

- When you enter, immediately look to see how many Cres are active. If a player is already in Cres mode, follow them around the room, while depositing memories so you can start your Cres mode as soon as they are done.

- The shortest path to deposit memories for players level 85+ is in the A2 area. This is the short distance from a memory spawn to the center.

- Caches will always begin at the top of every hour.

- If there are only 2 people in a cache, DO NOT activate Cres while the other player is already in Cres mode. Doing so will result in loss of points for both players since neither player will be able to complete an entire path around the room

- If you are the first player in the cache you should immediately activate Cres. The more you wait, the more you delay optimal pathing for future players that arrive.

- It's helpful to announce to other players how many seconds are remaining on your Cres timer since you are the only person that can see it.

- You can use the subdue timer on an Automaton to estimate the location of other players and the remaining time of their Cres timers.

- If you are the second player taking turns for the Cres, leave a 30 second gap in case the first player is about to use both the special powers. If the subdue all power is used by the player before you and you enter Cres mode too early, you will be wasting around 30 seconds of Cres time. It's much better to just continue depositing memories during this period.

- The buff you gain from Guthixian Caches works on divine simulacrums. Not crazy good, but nice to get a small bump in energies harvested.

- The Velheim perk "Stamina Stallion" is extremely helpful for caches since you will deplete your run energy quickly if you are following the paths in the strategy guide. In fact, it is required to achieve the optimal paths in the strategy guide.

- Sometimes it's worth it to skip caches with 3+ people since there is no way to achieve the optimal pathing without everyone perfectly waiting for Cres timers and that will just never happen.

- Since the double point power lasts twice as long in human form. You can activate the power right before you transform into Cres for a much longer double point boost while in Cres mode.

- The amount of Guthixian Caches points you can obtain in a day scales with your donor rank. Read through this thread for details.

- Sometimes the pathing in Cres mode is not optimal. If you are slowed down because of the path, it sometimes helps to skip more 1 point Automatons to reach the higher points ones faster.

- When you enter the Cache, it's always better to go west. The first Automaton on the west side is worth 2 points instead of the 1 point on the east side. It's also the direction of the A2 memory, which is closest to the center.

- If you are in a situation with 3+ people in the Cache, you can try AFKing for 3-5 minutes to let people finish, then just do the cache alone or in a duo.

- Similar to the above point, you can wait until there are only 4-5 minutes left if a cache if you prefer to do caches alone or in a duo.

- For the last double point + subdue all combo, you can stop subduing as soon as you have a double point charge available. The sooner you stop, the sooner you can wait for everything to be back up so you can get the remaining points and leave.
