  1. Hey Velheimens, New to the community here, and wanted to introduce myself. Especially since I was on the other night silently playing, and figuring out the server. My name’s Shawn, I’m 28, and I like to go by my RSN “of Disguise”. I was hoping titles would be available, but it appears that the “Master” title is not after looking through some of what’s available - from what I can tell (correct me if I’m wrong, I’d love to somehow enable that). I’m a Class B Volkswagen mechanic for a dealership. I have far too many hobbies, and projects, that end up incomplete because of presumably being an undiagnosed ADD - just basing off of hereditary traits. This includes playing guitar/writing songs, mixing music, and studying music theory. Also includes building PC’s and making custom wiring harnesses - which my career got me into doing, after my Electrical Specialty. I ride BMX and skateboards from time to time when I need a little sunlight, or find some nice hiking spots with the All Trails app that I refuse to spend money on; but it’s pretty cool for finding locations near you for hiking or trail riding. I’ve also got a hobby for Web Development. I hate PHP/SQL but always enjoyed the Front End portion with CSS3 and HTML5, working with pure CSS animations. I could share hobbies and interests all day, and feel like I’ve spewed enough to maybe have a discussion with a good amount of the player base already with some common ground.   2. I have been here since day dot. Whether it is 1 person on the server (me) or 100+, Sand what you do, are doing somehow makes me want to stay. Keep doing what you are doing. I think I have played this more than RS3 in regards to continuous play w/o breaks. That's saying something. I have even had an account wipe/server reset and still play. No matter what people will always want more, quick, fast and needy. It's the generation of today, we are so used to -instant- Create content that would make you want to play and the followers will soon come behind :)

  3. Discussion for Onyx+ area and benefits. Can not be too OP nor p2w. The ship area plus the middle platform. Currently discussion: Bank: pure essence: Seren stones: Attuned portal(on the right side) Harp: Screening station: arch restore station: Potion station/store?: Supply table that give elder potion effect?(perfect plus from juju once it gets added) Gold statue of sand which gives 1%dr(lol): Swarm fishing: Portables on the ship close to each other: GE npc: Donation shop Important the items has to be untradeable/discountined or a comsetic unlock. Nothing that can be used for p2w money making Onyx or just Hydrix can use custom titles.

Goal of mine is to hit 200m in all skills on my novice account, I have a regular, novice, and classic, I put alot of work into my classic but found myself getting less and less intrested in playing and always found myself coming back to my novice, for me it's not super easy like regular and not a all out grind like classic. So I've prestiged 5 times now, but now I plan on hitting all 200m in every skill before I do it again. So wish me luck!

As a veteran player that "quit" the server a couple days after ed3 release I can give some feedback on what could help me and others stay Make PvM higher skill - NOT HARDER Many people are asking to make PvM harder and there have been instances where bosses were made harder, it's the right idea but very wrong execution. Let's take kalphite king for example, it used to be very easy to afk solo and to compensate, the minions were made into mini magic cannon machines spamming 200-300s on you if you don't have mage prayer. This was a terrible change imo, made the boss more annoying not harder, with no proper AoE to kill the minions people simply find spots to hide from the minions and camp range gear to compensate with magic defense and hope to get magic phase kills So instead of this linear nerf how about we do something more interesting, for example: Increase KK's defence/weakness against the combat triangle based on the phase, forcing players to bring hybrid armor and multiple attack styles or form teams with roles. Currently everyone just uses ranged for magic defense + good damage Add a green attack like Rs3, obviously we don't have abilities but something simple like wear a shield after the green to cover from the insta kill (Make sure to implement an attack cycle like in rs3 where the green always falls in the 3rd cycle or something and not just random) Add a bleed ability to melee phase that can be cleared by wearing a shield Fix mage phase balls to have proper timing (they are too fast and cant be dodged without running around all the time) Add weakness to keris (add desert amulet 4) Boost Bosses basic drops Currently, pretty much every boss (other than telos maybe) people only farm them for the rare drops, the side loot is always awful and once the main drop is nerfed nobody does the boss anymore. This would be a deviation from Rs3 style but maybe a big table of random noted skilling supplies that players can reliably sell in ge for a profit (currently only drop that fits this is dragon bones in vindicta). Elite dungeons could really benefit from this, ed2 is 100% dead content after ecb was removed from drop table (I know this is a flaw in rs3 as well), so some actually interesting drops to the minibosses and bosses here would be nice. This applies to ed1 and ed3 as well Invention Two main changes I would suggest to invention: 1. Fix the gizmo calculator, either make it 100% like rs3 so that we can use wiki's calculator reliably (also adding inv potions) and be somewhat confident that we can get the perks we want without doing 100 attempts at a combo OR show percentages of success somehow in the creation interface. Also make combos easier to get, bis stuff or any decent combo at all is just pointless to even attempt 2. This can be quite controversial since it deviates highly from rs3 but I think it would make a more interesting and fluid ecosystem to boss drops. I purpose adding custom perks or changing existing perk recipes to make all rare components useful. Gwd1 components are all 100% useless with the exception of armadyl, and as a consequence bandos and sara items are worthless and new players can actually lose money by farming these bosses. If all rare components had an use, items like bandos, sara items, seismics, noxious items (except scythe) and many others would actually have a value on pair with their rarity and people would buy/sell these much more frequently with the end goal of disassembling them for components, creating more item sinks so the market isn't overflown with them and their price crashes to shit. (take seismic wand/orb going for 30m each in ge and no one buying it...) Transparency in game changes, drops rates, etc I know pretty much everyone mentioned this already but please before adding a huge nerf/buff to something discuss it with the community, no hidden nerfs like those done to ed3/ed2 base drop table and a couple months ago to pretty much every boss. Make the examine drop table more reliable, in ed1 and ed3 there are items like rune salvages that show as x% to drop 1-50 yet 90% of the time it drops its only 1? Either make the 1-50 a uniform distribution or share the % changes for the different amounts Thanks for reaching out and listening to the community, this was very much needed

  6. What genre?! I’ve been trying to learn to get into producing more EDM, TheFatRat has been kind of inspiring me lately to try to break out of this Metal realm and take a more upbeat route. Not to mention the amount of layers you can experiment with is just about endless it seems! Nonetheless, that would be awesome! Thank you! Appreciate.

  11. On the advertising side, i'd make a point to identify that this server has RS3 Content with NO EOC. Emphasize that somehow, i.e: Want to play RS3 Content & the newest bosses without EOC? Admittedly I skipped over this server many times because this is what I saw on the advertisement page: 8 fully functioning skills (including Divination, Invention & Archaeology), All 3 Elite Dungeons, An authentic server with NO customs. Mining & Smithing rework, Wilderness slayer, I immediately NOPED, until I realized that there is no EOC system in this game.

  12. I appreciate you writing this not only for yourself but also for us. Transparency is a key towards success imo. We’ve all been a bit iffy with the server lately and with past discord discussions it might’ve come across like we want bad stuff for the server, i.e most of misfits including hans etc. At the end of the day we just saw the potential and wanted it to keep going but might’ve come out in the wrong way due to large controversial changes. I respect this is your passionproject but for a lot of us it was a passionserver aswell. I think most of it boils down to when we peaked at like ~400 players, was a helluva great time at the server but after that everything in my eyes started to decline. I dont know what happened internally at that time but after that point in time we started receiving a ton lf hidden game nerfs that we had to figure out ourselves. People prepared endgame perks/setups to get rolled over by a hidden nerf that we had to figure out ourselves yet again. So my personal opinion is we lack transparency, be transparent with us and your staffmembers. From what it seems half the time they don’t even know what’s going on. Be like ”Hey guys I have X issue with the server and I’d like to solve it by doing Y or Z, what do you guys think?”. I know you’ve been fucked over on previous servers but we’re all here because we enjoy/enjoyed what velheim is/was. A lot of people have been offering help but been rejected, you’re not in this alone mate. Every staffmember and every helpful player doesn’t do this for themselves, they do it for you and because we still somewhat believe in you. I joined this server back in early January which is when we started booming, everything back then was going great. Seemed like players were listened to and not just told by staff that ”If u dont like the server gtfo” which has been the case recently. It’s like if there has been criticism, albeit harsh at times, we’ve been told that ”we dont need u here gtfo if u dont like it”. The base of the server isn’t bad by any means, its one of the best. And I don’t know exactly what to do to go back to where we were, all I know is the server needs to start being a lot more transparent than what it is. Take the ECB removal from ed2 as an example, that would have been a perfect time to have a discussion with the community. ”Hey do u guys rather want to keep ECB at ed2 and add some new reward to ed3?” Instead of during a random reboot buff ed2 hp 4x and remove ECB and then no update log. Hell, throw up a community feedback in discord VC once a month, sit down with players at a specific time and go through current balances, proposed future projects, discuss meta changes. Doesn’t have to be a whole day, just an hour or two. That way you won’t have to spend a lot of time doing stuff you know people wont appreciate. I know this will never happen but I personally believe, seeing as u have a kid now and not as much energy/time, I think it’s time you hire a dev to do small qol/bug fixes for you so you can focus on the good stuff. Not for the server but for yourself, so you can feel a bit more relaxed. Don’t take this text the wrong way I still love you and velheim but transparency is key. Rather over transparent than not at all. I hope it one day turns around and sparks a large drawback of players including myself as I haven’t really been playing for some time now. edit; I also believe all of PVM is to easy, people just skip most gear upgrades and go from mystic + cstaff to SOS + tectonic.
