Sprout
Recently I got a bit confused about how dying items works here on velheim because it seems to be slightly different from rs3, so with the help of @Nhs here is a small guide to help clear up that confusion about dying your items. Dyes Can be used to dye a number of high end items, this is a irreversible process and makes your item untradeable so you may want to make sure you have all the information at hand before doing so, as it can be a costly mistake if you dye something without knowing the facts. Dyes: Barrows Shadow Dye Blood Dye Third Age Dye Ice Dye Items that can be Dyed: (Not all items listed below may be available on Velheim) Ascension crossbow Blightbound crossbow Dark Shard of Leng Dark Sliver of Leng Drygore longsword Drygore mace Drygore rapier Ek-ZekKil Eldritch crossbow Elite sirenic chaps Elite sirenic hauberk Elite sirenic mask Elite tectonic mask Elite tectonic robe bottom Elite tectonic robe top Fractured Staff of Armadyl Imperium core Khopesh of Elidinis Khopesh of Tumeken Malevolent cuirass Malevolent greaves Malevolent helm Noxious longbow Noxious scythe Noxious staff Off-hand ascension crossbow Off-hand blightbound crossbow Off-hand drygore longsword Off-hand drygore mace Off-hand drygore rapier Seismic singularity Seismic wand Seren godbow Sirenic chaps Sirenic hauberk Sirenic mask Staff of Sliske Tectonic mask Tectonic robe bottom Tectonic robe top Wand of the praesul Zaros godsword Things you should know; Pros Dyed Items do not degrade to dust. Dying a Malevolent, Sirenic or tectonic helmets is a way to stop it degrading to dust and making it repairable, please also remember you can't upgrade dyed items before doing so. Cons T90 sirenic and tectonic armour can be dyed, however doing so will mean that you will not be able to upgrade them to there elite counter parts. You must remove your augmentation from your item before dying it, so remember not to go for those costly perks unless you are ready to loose/get them again. Dyed items become untradeable If any information in this thread is incorrect, please don't yell at nhs, just post below what you think needs to be changed!
