  1. You sir, are amazing. I dip my hat to you.
  2. Great looking work Sand Keep at it!
  3. Good looking ninja Sand Glad to see the recent feedback on the Perfect Chitin has been looked into as quickly as it has
  4. I've seen drop rates of the chitin range from 10s to well into the 100s. To have such a low chance at obtaining a relatively common drop is rather demotivating, especially when someone new to the grind comes along and gets it at a very low kc. I personally think it should be guaranteed at a certain kill threshold, or to simply required X kills to obtain one. As Twenty Weeks has said, its untradeable, and used to make another untradeable item. So it wouldn't really have any impact if it was fixed. +1
  5. Looks like everyone is going down the development route these days! Nice to get to know a little more about you!
  6. The perfect 3 weapons + 3 orb sets. I approve of this log.
  7. Comptgratulations! Now prestige level 100 next goal?
  8. Thanks for the recommendations much appreciated
  9. Hey folks, I'm currently working on upgrading some of my kit and after some recommendations. I recently moved back to PC gaming after a fair while on console so I'm a little out of touch on the best kit for PC and have simply been making do lately. I need to upgrade/get the below, with a budget of around £150. A new mouse (wired) A new headset (wireless) A headset stand I've been looking at the Roccat Elo 7.1 Air headset and Roccat Kone Aimo remastered mouse. I've had a look at the online reviews of these, and they seem quite mixed. Does anybody have these currently or have had them before? If so are they any good and worth the money? If not, open to recommendations for alternatives which fall within the budget. My only preference is that they are white with the option of RGB, because lets be serious.... who doesn't have a room full of RGB kit. TIA for any input.

  13. I don't normally get involved in discussion threads, but I see a lot of valid points in the responses here so thought it a good excuse to point my own two cents in and if things change, I can't really complain if I didn't say anything! :'D The economy currently is far from perfect yes, but it is by no means the worst I have seen on a server, especially with the age that Velheim is. Over the past few months, a considerable amount of long term/end game players have left and new players have taken their place. It really can be a pain to sell or buy things. I personally no longer sell via the GE as whenever I put something in, its undercut by ridiculous proportions or people are only buying for a fraction of the normal value. Currently any items that are looted either sit in my bank until somebody publicly asks to buy an item, or they get turned into components for perks. So to comment on some of the points raised above... Gambling - Open gaming, no, big no. Ruins servers by bringing too much toxicity to the game. Staff would be dealing constantly with "they cheated, refund me" and people will join, lose, leave. A form of coded gambling; by form of NPC for example, or perhaps a "premium lottery" whereby a reward is drawn weekly on a Sunday night reset, I might be able to get behind, but that's a subject which ultimately would sit with Sandstorm. Death Cost - Having no cost for dying does make the game easier yes, a small cost based on gear for dying could be adapted into things in my opinion. But it won't necessarily change things with the economy and could also have a detrimental effect on new players who don't have the GP available to start with then end up losing items that they've only just got. Given that dyed/augmented items also do not have a "value" as such, this could also be relatively difficult to keep accurate with the ever changing market of things. As an example, when I'm wearing dyed, augmented elite sirenic with SGB, the bulk of my 'risked wealth' is my HSR alone. Increased Item Degrade/Disintegrating End Game Items - As a player who primarily PvMs, the constant need to run a second account to farm divine charges; especially when doing none rewarding PvM, is bad enough. If items degrade quicker or for end game gear to not be repairable, the fun of being able to just PvM would be gone, and that would be me out in all honesty. New Players - I see a lot of people complaining that it is difficult to start up as a new player, especially when it comes to PvM, but I don't understand how? Start off doing things that you're able to do, and once you've gained some items, progress. Can you start and immediately go to ED3/AoD... No, not unless you find a very kind soul to boost your bank. I'm sorry, but if you want to play a game where you can do end game bossing with less than an hour of playtime, go find a spawn server... On top of this, I personally feel that if the 'regular' game mode wasn't a thing, and people had to actually work to get the levels initially, they would have a solid bank by the time they are maxed... Max combat by slayer, you'll make a fortune. The amount of people I see doing slayer, leaving coin drops on the floor and then saying they have no money... Play smart, simple. Well - I'll start by saying... yes, I'm bad for doing the "yell4well" crap like many others, normally because I'm mid instance whilst watching Netflix and too lazy to tele out to fill it, or I'm about to log off so don't want to spend 100M for a few minutes worth of bonus. However, it is regularly the same people filling it. I see comments above about allowing items to be added in with each item being a set value, and that could be great. A couple of thoughts I had for well: In order to benefit from the boost, within the last 7 days you must have donated at least 1M gp (or equivalent item value if ever added) to the well unless your account is under 1 month old. If your account hits 1 month and you don't donate anything to the well, you don't get a boost, simple. Limit the amount that a person can put in to the well to 25M gp per fill, meaning that for a full well it would take four people to put 25M gp each. This may be a negative when there are less players on, but if people work together it should be easy enough. When the well is filled, instead of simply announcing that it has been reached, announce who actually put into the well and their % contributed. Would be interesting to see who is actually nice! Linking back to my comment on the 'Gambling' front and a "premium lottery", it could be that donating to the well has a chance to obtain a ticket to such lottery, not 100%, but with an increased chance based on amount donated. New Players vs Veteran Players - One thing to keep in mind is that players which are new to the server compared to players which have been playing for quite some time will have different play styles and items will be used for different things or certain bosses not touched. This in turn will always have a knock on effect to the economy, especially lower levelled items not being readily available to buy. With invention, most items; such as Armadyl, has a use other than being sold, and older players won't farm to sell when they need the items their self. One thing to keep in mind is that no matter where you go, or what you do, economies will always fluctuate. Prices go up and come down. Items for sale go up... and then come down. Supply and demand will always play a massive part. Well that's possibly the longest post I've written on a forums in a while.. Back to the shadows I go..
  14. Welcome to Velheim Mitty Enjoy your time here.
  15. Welcome to Velheim! Enjoy your stay
  16. IGN - Sparkii I I The one thing I love about Velheim is how the community is. I've played many servers previously, and you would have clicks of players that would interact, but on a whole it would be separately played. On Velheim I find that everyone gets involved with each other to the most part and whilst yes there is drama from time to time, its generally light hearted and fun. Oh and also DDZ... nothing better.
  17. Welcome to the server Hope you enjoy your stay!
  18. To reach out to the community in such a way shows a lot of respect for your players, as the player base has for you. For a one-man team (in developing) you are doing a cracking job. I know I haven't been that active myself lately, and I'm sure my reason for taking a "break" is very similar to a lot of others. I started playing Velheim whilst 95% of the country was shut, couldn't see friends, family or go anywhere so it was my escape from four walls (effectively). With things reopening and the weather picking up, I've been less inclined to spend time sat inside at my desk playing games and more time outside seeing people. This server has a lot of potential to be the greatest. One thing I would love to see is some more content for "end game". Once you have maxed, got trimmed completionist cape, the only real thing to do is boss, prestige or make a new account. I agree with many of the posts made above, so I'll try not to duplicate suggestions that others have made but some things I would love to see are: Collection Logs Currently there is no real "incentive" to grind out a completion log other than receiving a title and the drops obtained during the grind, which for some can take a rather long time. I would love to see some form of a reward for taking the time to tackle these. Perhaps a % RDT drop boost for that particular boss or group of NPC's or a % chance to receive a double drop similar to HSR. Daily Challenges Currently we have 5 daily challenges to complete to receive some experience, some GP and lottery tickets. I would love to see an update to this system to perhaps introduce: Slayer Shop Currently once you have purchased all of the required items in the slayer shop, there's no purpose to slayer points other than to block tasks; which with the perk is relatively pointless as you can skip for free. I think it would be a good time to review the slayer shop rewards to make it worth doing task streaks rather than just skipping to get the best tasks. Change the "Home" Location I often find that when logging in at home, it can lagg and take quite some time to load. This could potentially put new players off. Also it would be nice to have things a little bit more spaced out (general QoL) rather than somewhat pushed together. Awards System With the recent GP changes, rather than adding raw GP drops back which I know a lot of people have suggested over time, what about adding in an award system which provides each player a one time reward of GP or specific items? They could work similar to questions, but act more like the daily challenges. Obviously to protect the economy, I would suggest that whilst the Awards could be completed on multiple accounts, that the reward is only claimable by one account per person (per mac/IP). Advertising This isn't so much of a suggestion, but more of an observation. Lately, over the past couple of months or so, I've been seeing an increasing number of sponsored RSPS adverts via social media (not dropping any names). This could potentially be a contributing factor to the drop in player base. Take care of yourself You take on a lot of stress running and maintaining the server, but remember that you do need to take time for yourself as well. I see you around almost all hours of the day and I understand why with this being your passion. I know several people have mentioned this above, but finding someone to help with the bug fixes could allow you the extra time for yourself and to also focus more on the bigger content updates that I know you want to release. Just a few thoughts, together; community and staff team, we will make things great again.
