  1. Welcome! Hello! If you're like me and have a Chromebook but have always wanted to play rsps on your Chromebook but have not figured out how, I am here to help! Finding answers online about how to download .jar files on your chromebook and launch can be very confusing and difficult, and can also sound sketchy in some cases. But I am here to explain very simply how you'd be able to do so! Today I'll be explaining how you're able to use Linux terminal to play Velheim straight on your chromebook simple, fast, and securely! Setting up Linux on your Chromebook: First, go to your settings on your Chromebook. On the left hand side, click the "Advanced" drop down menu to see more options. From here, click on "Developers". (Settings > Advanced > Developers) Next, you need to check if your Chromebook supports "Linux development environment (Beta)". This will be the first option on the top. Click the slider and make sure that you enable it to run, and set up the storage usage as well. Please note: all chromebooks made from 2019 and on all support Linux beta for chromebook. Former models do support it, but google the list to see if yours does. Now your Chromebook officially has Linux and can run the Linux terminal! To do this, all you need to do is search "Terminal" on your chromebook apps and the terminal will open! Next step is to download the Velheim client and play! Downloading and launching the Velheim client: After you have gotten Linux on your chromebook, now you need to go to the Velheim website and download the java file. This will create a .jar file on your computer. For the sake of this guide, I have personally only worked with the regular java file and not the experimental. If you yourself are feeling "experimental" try that file out and leave a message down below if it worked for you! After the download is complete, click show your file in folder so you can see where it is in your files. Next, open up another folder and put it to the side of the other file window. This part is important so listen up: You need to DRAG your newly downloaded "Velheim718.jar" file INTO the "Linux Files" folder found on the side of your folders window. Now you officially have everything you need and are ready to launch the Velheim client and begin your journey! To launch the client you first need to open up the Linux terminal you downloaded earlier. Open this up by searching for "Terminal" in your computer's apps as was shown in two pictures above. This will open up the Linux Terminal and might look kind of daunting at first. There are many different things you can do with this, but for the sake of this guide I'm going to leave it to launching the Velheim client. You will need to type a command into the terminal for the app to launch. Type the following into your terminal: java -jar Velheim718.jar PLEASE NOTE: The "Velheim718.jar" will be different depending on the name of the file when you downloaded it. Just simply replace that with the file name that is saved under your Linux files. Keep in mind, to keep the client running, you will need to keep the Linux launcher also running as well. Just don't close the tab and you're good to go! Boom! Velheim is up and running and you're able to play! You can officially begin your journey in Velheim alongside a growing, friendly community! Thank you for reading this guide, leave a message below if you need any help, or feel free to message me privately! Enjoy!

  2. Hello all, My name is Austin, but in game you will see me either on my regular skiller account known as Whitelion, or my novice main account Liberate. I have only just began playing Velheim and plan to really stick around here and enjoy myself for the long term. I typically do things rather solo in game but I am a very friendly fellow and am more then happy to lend a hand or just have a good chat so feel free to pm me anytime. Cheers, Whitelion

  4. You guys had good intentions. I believe that. But you gotta understand, a lot of gp is not coming into game anymore with these nerfs. Invention, being a huge money sink, is going to effectively eat even more of it, but with less gp injection in the eco, its going to be even harder to do it. Not to mention, this is going to hurt players. A lot of people did the methods they did so that gp was consistently flowing into the economy. Now? There's nothing. There's nobody. Everything will crash. EVERYTHING. And PvM will effectively die out; cause with no flow of gp, prices will go down to make up for it. And suddenly, there's no incentive anymore. What was so good about the previous gp income was every monster in the game had a purpose. Now that's almost lost strictly to slayer tasks. Is that the only option? Where's the flexibility now? And if this has to stay, increase the amount of monsters per slayer task! Buying or selling, both sides are heavily affected by this, and it's not going to work for much longer. Power to the players is the moral here. We know what's good for the game, and we're noticing the problem already. And some are already thinking of leaving because of this. There needs to be a change.
