I once bought a knock-off bose bluetooth speaker when I was travelling in Thailand and the thing had like some shitty talking AI in it. You could ask it stuff and it would reply in Chinese, English or German, sometimes all three in the same sentence. I have a lot of inside jokes with different friends of mine so the gift I buy them always revolves around that. Other people will usually just think like wtf is that, but the recipient knows and that's all I need. In other people's eyes it may seem like a weird gift, but between me and the recipient it's just right. So I remember talking to one of my friends and we liked the same show as kids that nobody else watched. So I bought something related to that which was clearly for kids, and we were both very much adults.
