Hello there, newly joining 16.pngVPgmvPn.png17.png21.pngIronmen/Ironwomen!
Hopefully this handbook will provide you some insight on what you will be aiming to do during your adventures here, on Velheim!
This is some of my most in-depth work so far, so please enjoy.

--------------------------------------
Sections

(CTRL+F to navigate to them)
S1 - (The Beginning)
S2 - (The Mid-Game)
S3 - (Late Game)
S4 - (End Game)
--------------------------------------

Things to know:
1. Game Perks in Velheim are EXTREMELY useful.
This is a guide to the Game Perks available, although it is slighty outdated - feel free to check out the Game Perks ingame via the Tab to the left of the Inventory (as shown in the guide).
This guide, credits to @Winter Revel, lists the recommended Perks to buy when playing the game - if you do decide to buy any perks.

2. Vote whenever possible.
Vote Books: They are amazing, they can be used to claim an SOF Spin, Bonus EXP, Velheim Coins, or Loyalty Points - for Ironmen, it is recommended to either; save these for SOF promos, or Loyalty Points to rush Curses, Ancient Magicks, and Lunar Spells.
Although it is also fine to use the Bonus EXP on skills that take longer to max out. ConstructionConstruction, PrayerPrayer and ArchaeologyArchaeology (artefact restoration) are some good examples.

Vote Points: As for vote points, save them up.
I would HIGHLY recommend buying the Asylum doctor's ring.pngAsylum surgeon's ring (i).pngAsylum Rings in order.
The final ring can be imbued at the Liberation of Mazcab for 10k Teci and has amazing stats, and a GREAT spec saving passive.

3. Do not rush yourself to do content.
You will easily burn yourself out if you try to do everything at once, take it slow and enjoy the time you are spending playing.

User: @Died also has an Ironman Guide written in plain text.
You can find that here!

His guide covers plenty of shop runs, recommended perks, and some useful skilling tips for Irons.
Give his topic a like if you have the chance!

5gbqKfJ.pngS1: The Beginning5gbqKfJ.png
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Starting off as an Ironman it is highly suggested to link your account to both GSDDYD7.pngDiscord and the 8XuBqhY.pngForums.
You can do this typing ;;discord, and ;;forums in-game respectively, to receive a total of Coins 10000.png10m.

With your starter cash from linking your GSDDYD7.pngDiscord and 8XuBqhY.pngForums accounts, you should probably consider buy some of the items from Lucy's Untradeables Store at home.

Recommended items to buy from Lucy with your initial 10m:
Pathfinder Armour (T1 with custom offensive stats) is great for starter leveling.
*Pathfinder armour has now been moved to Gudrik in Port Sarim.
You can also buy Imcando weapons for 5m each, these scale with your offensive levels but are not required - if anything, only the Pistols are worth buying.
If you do decide to buy the Off-hand imcando axe.pngAxes, only buy the off-hand variant and buy a TzHaar whip 1.pngTzhaar Whip from Diango at home, this whip scales up to Lv60 and is exponentially cheaper.

XWVoDrv.pngLoyalty Points - save these up, you'll need these to buy the Curses Prayer Book, and non-standard spell books.
If you have already linked your account via GSDDYD7.pngDiscord, and the 8XuBqhY.pngForums - you should be getting as many points as possible - as long as you have voted in the past 24 hours.

Quest Icon Crest.png Quest Items Quest Icon Crest.png

Many quest items-reward type items can be obtained from their original locations, requiring a specific total level to buy, with a gold cost.
*I will update this when changes are made or new quest items are added*
Some of these items also require the quest requirements to equip (Helm of Neitiznot, Lunar Armour).

Silverlight and Darklight can now be obtained by talking to Gideon Bede (Varrock East Church).
Ava's backpacks can be purchased from Ava in Draynor Manor.
The Bearhead can be purchased from Hamal the Chieftain (Mountain Camp).
Ring of Visibility can be purchased from Rasolo (West of the Fishing Guild).
You can obtain Ghostly equipment pieces by talking to ghosts around the map like in the Zaros Miniquest.
You can purchase a Holy Wrench from Davey (Braindeath Island).
The ghostspeak amulet can be bought from Father Urhney (South-west Lumbridge Swamp).
Enhanced excalibur can be bought from the Lady of the Lake (South-EastTaverly).
The Ectophial can be purchased from Velorina (North-east Port Phasmatys).
Khazard armour & helmet can now be obtained from the Suit of armour North of the Fight Arena.
You can purchase the Wolfbane, Ivandis flail, Sunspear (normal), and Sunspear (reforged) from Ivan Strom (replacing Drezel under the Paterdomus).
Lunar equipment can be purchased from Oneironmancer (Lunar Isle).
You can purchase an Ancient Staff from Eblis (Bandit camp Lodestone).
Drakan's Medallion can be obtained from the cave in southern Burgh de Rott.
The House Drakan Outfit can be found in Vanstorm's mantion in Darkmeyer.

Transportation map icon.pngFuture Planning (Quick Prestige Info)Shortcut map icon.png
*This section has been updated following the release of Nex: Angel of Death.

Prestiging is a very simple process, once you have 99 in ALL skills - go to the Prestige Master at Home (;;home/CTRL+H) and prestige.
This process will reset all of your skills to 1, and you will start over leveling again.
But now, using the points obtained - you can buy yourselves some goodies from the Prestige Shop!

For more information regarding Prestiging, please check out this guide, credits to @Arcadiez.

General store map icon.png Recommended Daily Activities General store map icon.png
It is not recommended to spend all of your starter GP, as you will want to do Daily Shop Runs which can net you Runes, Feathers, Vials, and other items useful for Ironmen.
You can follow this guide, credits to @Yipe for the essentials.
Yipe's guide notes which daily shops you should run, activities that you can do daily, and also includes notes on Proteans, and the Oddments Store.

Auto-retaliate icon.png Training & Combat Auto-retaliate icon.png
Starting off training, it is recommended to train at Lumbridge (accessible via CTRL+T > Monsters > Lumbridge) until roughly 25-30 in your general combat stats.
With these stats, get a task from Turael at CTRL+S (or ;;slayer) and do your tasks. Each slayer master has their own File:Category sword.pngCombat & SlayerSlayer requirement.
You can find the Requirements for Slayer Masters here!
As a general note, if you disregard efficiency - all styles are equal in usage when doing low and mid level slayer.
It is only at higher levels will you need to care about which weapons you use.

Before doing Slayer however I would recommend getting a few Prayer-icon.png?0e5f2Prayer levels!
You could do this via The Nexus in Lumbridge Swamp, or you could do it the traditional way, burying/using bones on altars.
Nexus guide located here!

You can start off with Big_bones.png?9b794Big Bones from Hill/Moss Giants, or go straight to Dragon_bones.png?06531Dragon Bones from Dragons!
If you want an Anti-dragon_shield.png?81b89Anti-Dragon Shield, you can get one from OH15JU2.pngDuke Horacio in Lumbridge Castle.
---
When it comes to DefenceGear Progression you can follow this guide here. This Gear Progression guide is still valid for Ironmen accounts.
(Although it does not include the "middle" tier armours such as Orichalkum, Necrite etc)

T67uGs2.pngSkillingT67uGs2.png
The best non-combat skills to start training, are MiningMining, SmithingSmithing, FishingFishing & CookingCooking. These skills will give you the essentials for a newly-starting Ironman.
MiningMining & SmithingSmithing, following the rework are extremely easy and relaxed to do, with a guide found here!
Though as an Ironman, I wouldn't suggest doing the "Exp Rush" methods.
Instead, make either Dual Single Handed Weapons OR a 2H Sword, and a Full Armour Set of any metal (ie; Bronze, Iron etc..).
This will allow you to have multiple "tiers" of gear ready for when you level up, and need to move on to the next equipment tier.
Once you have the Weapon/s and the Full Armour Set made, you can smith anything else for EXP.
Platebodies being the quickest to provide EXP (but keep these for later, you'll need them for Invention!).

FishingFishing & CookingCooking are going to be pretty integral to your "journey". Having food is always nice anyways.
Fishing Guide can be found here, and a Cooking Guide can be found here!
It's recommended to save all of the Fish that you cook from roughly levels 40 onwards, as they have their uses.

DivinationDivination is an extremely easy skill to train, albeit slow at higher levels.
With Divination you can make Divine tree.png: RS3 Inventory image of Divine treeDivine mithril rock.png: RS3 Inventory image of Divine mithril rockDivine lobster bubble.png: RS3 Inventory image of Divine lobster bubbleDivine herb patch III.png: RS3 Inventory image of Divine herb patch IIIDivine box trap.png: RS3 Inventory image of Divine box trapDivine Locations, and Sign of the porter III.pngPorters which will help make other Gathering Skills easier.
When worn Porters will transport gathered items DIRECTLY to your bank.
Divine Locations on the other hand, are almost like "portable" but depletable resource locations.
A timed activity you can do for DivinationDivination, are Guthixian Caches, they appear EVERY HOUR.
While I will not write out a guide on how to complete them, you can watch this video for all you need to know!

Something that is worth getting started on, early on in the game is FarmingFarmingHerbloreHerblore.
To get an abundance of Irit seed.png: RS3 Inventory image of Irit seedSeeds it is recommended to pickpocket Master Farmers, which requires 38 ThievingThieving.
Following the basics of the above skills, it's recommended to train your other skills too.

When it comes to training AgilityAgility, there are two main methods that are extremely easy to follow.
1. The first method is to do Agility Courses, this is extremely straightforward.
2. You can get Silverhawk boots (1).pngSilverhawk Boots for free from Diango, or the Oddments Store.
Then you can buy Silverhawk feathers 5.pngSilverhawk Feathers from the Oddments.pngOddments Store (Right Click Money Pouch > Currency Pouch > Click on Oddments )
You earn Oddments.pngOddments whenever you perform a Spin on the SOF, more can be earned by forfeiting the reward you get.

ArchaeologyArchaeology, is a skill that you will either love or hate. Simple as that. I've found, that in my time playing there is no 'inbetween'.
To summarize Archaeology, you will excavate specific locations for 'Archaeology Materials' and 'Artefacts'. The Archaeology Materials are used to 'Restore' the Artefacts.
You will then give these Artefacts to 'collectors'. Complete any specific 'collection' and you will get specific rewards.
A list of Archaeology Collections can be found here, and an amazing 'generalized' Archaeology Guide can be found here, credits to Sprout.

The following titles can be clicked to navigate to the appropriate sections to find their skill guides.

Support Skills Guides (Thieving, Dungeoneering, Agility, and Slayer)
Gatherer Skills Guides (Archaeology, Hunter, Farming, Divination, Mining, Fishing, and Woodcutting)
Artisan Skills Guides (Herblore, Runecrafting, Fletching, Firemaking, Smithing, Cooking, and Crafting)
Combatant Skills Guides (Summoning, and Prayer(Nexus))
Credits to: @Kim, @Sun, @Fazo, and @Winter Revel - for their guides.

Each of the guides listed in the above sections can be followed by Ironmen, with the only difference being that you will have to earn the items used in these skills.

jmJ6uRz.pngClue ScrollsjmJ6uRz.png
Clue Scrolls can be obtained whilst you do activities in 8XuBqhY.pngVelheim.
They are most commonly obtained whilst training: MiningMining, FishingFishing, DivinationDivination, and are also rarely dropped from monsters.

Clue Scrolls come in 5 tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, and Master.
Each tier of clue requires its own specific number of steps to complete.

The number of steps are: Easy - 2, Medium - 2, Hard - 4, Elite - 4, Master - 6.
With the Investigator Game Perk the steps required for these clues are HALVED.

For a Clue Scroll Setup Efficiency Guide, please check out this guide, credits to @LRDVLDMRT.
This guide also has links to the wiki pages for how to SOLVE Clue Scrolls!

You will want to do your Clue Scrolls, especially your Easy ones.
The UNIQUE rewards from these (such as; Black Crossbows, and Off-hand Black Crossbows) can be disassembled later on with InventionInvention!
More information regarding Invention is in Section 3.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
5gbqKfJ.pngS2: The Mid-Game5gbqKfJ.png
-----------------------------------------------------------------

By the point that would be called the "Mid-Game" you would have roughly level 70s-80s in your File:Category sword.png Combat Stats (this can be excluding Prayer).
If you have been doing MiningMining & SmithingSmithing (for Melee gear) you should also have at least a fully upgraded set of either Necronium Equipment or Banite Equipment which would be the Armour & Weapons

Dungeoneering-icon.pngDungeoneeringDungeoneering-icon.png
With the start of The Mid-Game you will want to start training your Dungeoneering-icon.pngDungeoneering
You can start by taking your Ring of kinship.pngRing of Kinship and you will teleport to Daemonheim (alternatively by CTRL+T > Y7ySymK.pngMisc > Daemonheim)
*Note: As a HCIM, or an IM - you must SOLO dung. A GIM can do Dungeoneering with their group members.
The recommended thing to do from here is to go from Floors 1 to Floor 30 on Complexity: 1 and Dungeon Size: Small.

Once you have reached Floor 30 you will now start to do Complexity: 6 and Dungeon Size: Large,  for this it is recommended to have the Dungeon Daemon Game Perk.
Although, if you do not have the Dungeon Daemon Game Perk you can still progress through Dungeoneering normally as you would in RS for example.
The wiki page for Dungeoneering includes a section for Gameplay which explains the basics of how you actually do it.

While doing higher Complexity Dungeoneering floors you may encounter "Puzzles" the wiki has a page dedicated to these and how to complete them.
As with most things in 8XuBqhY.pngVelheim, you can follow the RS Wiki - as we are as accurate as we can be.

Dungeoneering Rewards
As for Rewards from the Dungeoneering-icon.pngDungeoneering Skill, there are a few that you will want to prioritize.
The Bonecrusher.png: RS3 Inventory image of BonecrusherBonecrusher and the Charming imp.png: RS3 Inventory image of Charming impCharming Imp are ESSENTIAL for Ironmen.
The Bonecrusher immediately destroys bones dropped by enemies, giving burying EXP. The Charming Imp can be used to bank all charms dropped by enemies.
Both of these remove A LOT of clutter from monster drops.

The Advanced gold accumulator.pngAdvanced Gold Accumulator is also something you want to aim for. This costs a total of 1,770,000 Dungeoneering Tokens (equivalent to 17.7m EXP).
This will automatically collect all Coins 10000.pngCoins dropped by NPCs, especially useful for SlayerSlayer.
The Advanced Gold Accumulator can be alternatively be obtained via the Game Perk: Coin Collector (which does not require Dungeoneering Tokens).

I will also personally say that Chaotic Weaponry are 100% worth buying.

The Chaotic maul.pngChaotic Maul, Chaotic staff.pngStaff, and Off-hand chaotic crossbow.pngChaotic crossbow.pngCrossbows are T80 weaponry and are AMAZING.

Alternative Weaponry & image.pngPrayer Training

One efficient, and cheap method of training Prayer is; killing Vyrelords, Vyreladies, or Vyrewatches when equipped with a Sunspear (Sunspear.pngT75 Melee, or Sunspear (melee).pngT78 Tribrid).
Both variations of the Sunspear can be bought from Ivan Strom, who can be found under the Paterdomus, in the entrance on the bridge, west of Canifis.

When equipped with a type of Sunspear, you burn Vyre Corpses - gaining Firemaking & Prayer EXP.
Both of these XP drops can be increased by wearing the Morytania legs 4.pngMorytania Legs 4 - obtained from the Morytania Achievement Diary.

It is highly recommended to use a Seedicide.pngSeedicide when killing them as well due to them dropping absolutely TONS of Morchella mushroom spore 5.pngMorchella Mushroom Spores.
It is also recommended to have a Legendary Pet while grinding these as they do drop some noteworthy items, such as noted Crystal Key halves.
*Though Legendary Pets not being not entirely necessary if you're only killing the Vyres to train*
*The Area Loot function in the Quest Tab is enough*

To claim the T75 Melee Sunspear, you'll need 1500 Total Level and 5m. This is not augmentable.
To claim the T78 Tribrid Sunspear, you'll need 2000 Total Level and 25m. This Sunspear IS augmentable too which is always great.

Soul Split.pngCurses,20200924131931%21Ice_Barrage_icon.png?67e1dAncient Magicks & 20130109200230%21Vengeance_icon.png?a7cebLunars
You may be wondering where you can get Curses, Ancients and Lunars.
Well, you can get these from the uNG1dCp.pngWise Old Man located in the Home Building for 50k, 37.5k, and 25k each respectively.

What's useful in these unlocks?
The Curses Prayer Book gives access to Turmoil.pngSoulsplit which heals the player by a % of their damage dealt.
The Turmoil.pngAnguish.pngTorment.pngT95 Stat Boosting Prayers, and Malevolence.pngDesolation.pngAffliction.pngT99 Stat Boosting Prayers (unlocked with a Praesul Codex).

Ancient Magicks gives access to the Rush, Burst, Blitz, and Barrage Spells - great spells for Single Target or Multi-combat, with note that the Burst and Barrage Spells deal AOE (Area-of-Effect) damage.

Many of the Lunar Spellbook's benefits are for non-combat activities, with spells such as Tune Bane Ore, used to make Banite Items which deal damage to specific classifications of enemies.

T67uGs2.pngSkillingT67uGs2.png

When it comes to the other non-combat skills, you should also be roughly in the 70s/80s.
This means that your main Food Source at this point should be Shark.pngSharks, you should also (hopefully) have some Prayer potion (4).pngPrayer Potions from FarmingFarming & HerbloreHerblore,
both of which are sufficient for doing any of the bosses which will be mentioned in the 'Bossing' subsection.

It's around this point you will want to get going with the Masterwork Armour grind.
In this thread, if you head a bit down into the Masterwork Section - you can see the hefty requirements.
Masterwork Armour (as a set) requires that you spend a LOT of time Mining and Smithing, which is why you want to get it done early.

Should an Iron ever have any issues with CraftingCrafting, I will make a small suggestion.
Use the Common/Uncommon Gem Rocks to mine for lower level uncut gems, these rocks can be found in the Al Kharid Mine and are near a Bank Deposit Box.

Around this point it is also recommended for you to create a Ring of Fortune.pngRing of Fortune by enchanting an Onyx Ring.
To obtain an Onyx, you can find the methods of obtaining one here.
A Ring of Fortune is a 'Tier 3' Luck Ring, which gives you the chance at getting a Luck of the Dwarves.pngLuck of the Dwarves on the Rare Drop Table.

From this point in the game, with Skilling, it is very linear and is recommended to just follow that guides that were previously listed at the end of Section 1.

pVHmxK1.pngBossingpVHmxK1.png
From here you can start doing some low-level pVHmxK1.pngBosses, some notable Low-Level Bosses with decent rewards for Ironmen are:
Barrows, Bork, King Black Dragon, Dagannoth Kings, Giant Mole, and the Chaos Elemental (PVP Area).
These bosses can be accessed by CTRL+T > pVHmxK1.pngBosses Tab.
Of the above-listed, Barrows and Bork are the two easiest Bosses to kill for Ironmen.

Barrows drops plenty of Blood rune.png: RS3 Barrows drops Blood rune with rarity Common in quantity 35-630Blood Runes, Death rune.png: RS3 Barrows drops Death rune with rarity Common in quantity 70-1190Death Runes, and Chaos rune.png: RS3 Barrows drops Chaos rune with rarity Common in quantity 115-1890Chaos Runes.
These runes are mainly used in Burst & Barrage Spells from the Ancients Spellbook, useful for "AOE" monster killing.
Barrows can also drop Shark.png: RS3 Barrows drops Shark with rarity Common in quantity 4Sharks, Prayer potion (2).png: RS3 Barrows drops Prayer potion (2) with rarity Common in quantity 1Prayer Potion (2)s, and the Amulet of the forsaken.png: RS3 Barrows drops Amulet of the forsaken with rarity Rare in quantity 1Amulet of the Forsaken (which is used later in Archaeology to make a great relic power (passive)).
Not to mention the armour which can be used in general, Ahrims as Tank magic Armour, Karils as Tank ranged armour, and Guthans as Tank melee armour.

Bork on the other hand is a very simple boss to kill, you can follow this guide to get to, and kill him.
The rewards you will collect from Bork are Blue charm.png: RS3 Inventory image of Blue charmCrimson charm.png: RS3 Inventory image of Crimson charmGreen charm.png: RS3 Inventory image of Green charmCharms used in SummoningSummoning, and Uncut dragonstone.png: RS3 Inventory image of Uncut dragonstoneUncut diamond.png: RS3 Inventory image of Uncut diamondUncut ruby.png: RS3 Inventory image of Uncut rubyUncut emerald.png: RS3 Inventory image of Uncut emeraldUncut sapphire.png: RS3 Inventory image of Uncut sapphireUncut Gems used in CraftingCrafting.

Other than the ones listed above, it is also recommended to start doing The Godwars Dungeon.
Having the Greater Gods game perk will negate any requirement of Killcount to enter the Boss Chambers so it is highly recommended.
Notable drops being: Bandos armour set.pngBandos Armour from General Graardor, Armadyl armour set.pngArmadyl Armour from Kree'arra,
Robes of subjugation set.pngRobes of Subjugation from K'ril Tsutsaroth, and the Armadyl crossbow.pngOff-hand Armadyl crossbow.pngArmadyl Crossbows from Commander Zilyana.

Godwars Dungeon 2 (minus Telos) is also recommended, specifically Vindicta - at this level.
A quick written guide for Godwars Dungeon 2 can be found here, credits to me (@Iron Tyrone).
Just like Godwars Dungeon 1, if you have the Greater Gods game perk, you negate any requirement of Killcount to enter the Boss Chambers.
The reason being that Vindicta drops plenty of Dragon bones.png: RS3 Vindicta drops Dragon bones with rarity Uncommon in quantity 150-250 (noted)Noted Dragon Bones, at an uncommon rate (bunches of 150-250).
Killing Vindicta is ONE OF the main methods if training PrayerPrayer going into the Late Game.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
5gbqKfJ.pngS3: The Late Game5gbqKfJ.png
-----------------------------------------------------------------

For the Late Game - this section will make a few notes for the InventionInvention skill, some more gearing tips, and some other, more suitable bosses to do.

InventionInventionInvention
Invention is a skill that can be started after a player has obtained Level 80 in: CraftingCrafting, SmithingSmithing, and DivinationDivination.
Once you have achieved Level 80 in these 3 skills, you can start by going through a tutorial for Invention by speaking to Doc at the Invention Guild.
You can access the Invention Guild via CTRL+T > Y7ySymK.png Misc > Invention Guild.

When it comes to leveling up Invention, it would be best to follow this guide made by Arcadiez. It outlines how you can train it with combat and via skilling.
When it comes to creating things with Invention, you will need "Materials" - please follow this guide, credits to @NubonmyPC for the item disassembly guide.
To put it easily, you will disassemble equipment, and regular items for Materials which are used to create Invention-based items, such as Augmentors.

Augmentor.pngAugmentors are used to 'Augment' equipment and tools, a list of Augmentable Items can be found here.
An item being 'Augmented' will mean that you can apply 'Perks' to it via Armour gizmo shell.pngWeapon gizmo shell.pngTool gizmo shell.pngGizmo Shells.
Gizmo Shells, when given 'Materials' will be able to store 'Perks' - a list of perks can be found here.
Although 8XuBqhY.pngVelheim does not use the same formula as RS3, we still have a majority of the perks working here.
To see the Optimal Perks for PVMing, they can be found here.
To see the Optimal Perks for Skilling, they can be found here.

Later on in Invention, you will be able to make Alchemical Onyxes, and Alchemical Hydrixes which are used to make some great Jewellry.
One of the harder-to-get components are Fortunate components.pngFortunate Components, these can be obtained from disassembling unique clue rewards.
So be sure to do all of your Clue scroll (easy).pngClue Scrolls (which were mention in Section 1)!

One of the integral items to create Alchemical Onyxes/Hydrixes is Junk.pngJunk!
You get Junk from disassembling items, the higher Invention Level you have, the less junk you will get.
You will need Junk.png?de74a Junk, in conjunction with a Junk_refiner_(unused).png?78425Junk Refiner to create Refined_components.png?9ea70 Refined Components.
These are used in the process, alongside Fortunate components.pngFortunate Components to make Alchemical_onyx.png?75391Alchemical Onyxes, and Alchemical_hydrix.png?c7153Alchemical Hydrixes!

One of the best methods to earn Junk is to do ED3 Trashruns, and to disassemble the Reef Relics you obtain (Reef relic (common).pngCommon, Reef relic (uncommon).pngUncommon, and Reef relic (rare).pngRare).
The Reef relic (common).pngCommon & Reef relic (uncommon).pngUncommon Reef Relics will provide you with Junk and other components, whilst Rare Relics will give you Reef relic (rare).pngRare Components.
In the following spoiler tag I have included a quick image for ED3 Trash running.

For ED3 Trashruns it is recommended that your armour is around Tier 60+ and your weapon should be an AOE weapon - thus, range is NOT recommended.

In case of MagicMagic - A set of Lunar Armour purchased from the Untradeables Store will suffice, with a T60 Godstaff will work.
Just be sure that with this setup you are using Blood Burst at LEAST and you have Protect from Melee.pngProtect from Melee ON for the majority of the dungeon.

In case of DefenceMelee - a set of at Tier 70+, so Necrite and above is recommended with at LEAST a Dragon halberd.pngDragon Halberd.
You can purchase a Dragon Halberd from the Quartermaster's Store in Port Tyras (you can use a charter ship from Port Sarim).
In the case you have higher tier Halberd weapons (ie; Attuned/Crystal Halberd, Dragon Rider Lance, Scythe) you can use those.

Spoiler

To teleport to ED3 you will:
CTRL+T > pVHmxK1.pngBosses > Shadow Reef.

Before you start, right-click the Treasure chest and 'Toggle Auto-Collect'.
This means that you will not have to manually pick up items, and all items dropped will go directly to the chest.

CfCi0XU.png

Protect from Melee.png: RS3 Inventory image of Protect from MeleeProtect from Melee for the ENTIRE run (including versus Bossy McBossface) if your equipment is not good enough to allow you to Soulsplit the entire run.
Protect from Magic.png: RS3 Inventory image of Protect from MagicProtect from Magic, or Soulsplit when killing Hanto.

For late-game skilling, it is recommended that you aim for a Grace of the elves.pngGrace of the Elves which can also be made with an Alchemical onyx.pngAlchemical Onyx.
The 'GOTE' can be charged with Sign of the porter III.pngPorters which were previously-mentioned in 'The Beginning', and storing up to a maximum of 500 charges/porters.
This means that a fully-charged GOTE will automatically bank any 500 resources earned while it is activated, and worn.
The GOTE also has a passive that can spawn a XCim9RF.pngSeren Spirit which will provide you with one Rare Drop Table 'loot'.

It is worth noting that, in terms of priority - you should make a Luck of the Dwarves.pngLuck of the Dwarves ring, before you make a 'Grace of the Elves'.
The Rare Drop Table 'Loot' provided by the XCim9RF.pngSeren Spirit is affected by Luck, meaning you can get a Hazelmere's signet ring.pngHazelmere's Signet Ring.
Although extremely rare, the Hazelmere's signet ring.pngHSR itself, is not only a 'Tier 4' Luck Ring - but also has a passive to double any singular drop from a monster.
Not to mention that the Hazelmere's signet ring.pngHSR can ONLY be obtained from the Rare Drop Table when you have a Luck of the Dwarves.pngLuck of the Dwarves equipped/as an Archaeology passive.

hMznlQN.pngReaper TaskshMznlQN.png
Reaper Tasks can be started by talking to Death in his office.
To access Death's office you must interact with tSlH9F8.pngDeath's Hourglass near the Slayer Masters at home.

When receiving a Reaper Task, you will be requested to kill 'x' number of a specific boss - just like Slayer, completing a task will provide points.
In the case of Reaper Tasks, Reaper Points.

It is recommended that you save your points to buy Incomplete hydrix.pngIncomplete Hydrixes. You must add a Onyx.pngCut Onyx to this, to create a Hydrix.pngHydrix.
A Complete Hydrix can be used to create different types of Hydrix Jewellry.
The first one to make (in my opinion), should be the Hydrix amulet.pngHydrix Amulet, which can be enchanted into an Amulet of souls.pngAmulet of the Souls.
You will then go on to make a Hydrix necklace.pngHydrix Necklace, which can be enchanted into a Reaper necklace.png: RS3 Inventory image of Reaper necklaceReaper Necklace.
Both of these Neck-Slot items are charged with Cut Onyxes, with a singular Cut Onyx providing 50% charge to the necklace.

For 'Late-game' bosses, I believe here is where I would list:
Nex, Telos, Araxxor, Elite Dungeons 1, and 2, Corporeal Beast, Vorago, Kalphite King, The Order of the Acension, and The Magister.

For 'End-game' bosses, I would list:
Elite Dungeon 3, and Nex: Angel of Death.

Written Guides for: Nex, Corporeal Beast, and The Order of the Acension can be found here.
@Noobs Own has video-based guides on: Kalphite King, and Vorago.
@sterling has extensively thought out and prepared guides on the: Elite Dungeon 1Elite Dungeon 2, and Elite Dungeon 3.
@Esker has a very well-made guide on: Nex: Angel of Death.

At this point in your gameplay, you should already be hitting 99s in plenty of your skills this also means that with Mining & Smithing, you should at least either be;
close to, or finishing - the Masterwork Armour Grind, so congratulations!

In the case you have also done a little bit of bossing, you should also have...
Drygore mace.pngDrygore WeaponryOff-hand drygore mace.png, obtained from the Na5ANDe.pngKalphite King (accessed via CTRL+T > Bosses > Kalphite King.
Hexhunter bow.pngHexhunter Bow from zPEovYs.pngSoulgazers (accessed via CTRL+T > Slayer > Stalker Dungeon).
At LEAST a Camel staff.pngCamel Staff, obtained from eOu5Fmi.pngCamel Warriors (location can be found in this guide, credits to @Kim).

The other Late-Game gear you'll want to aim for are: Sirenic mask.pngSirenic Armour (ranged), and Tectonic mask.pngTectonic Armour (magic).
It is recommended to farm Sirenic scale.pngSirenic Scales from Order of the Acension (minus Legione bosses) monsters, and you obtain Tectonic energy.pngTectonic Energies from Vorago.
To create each respective armour set, you will need 84 of each ingredient.
*Note:
Sirenic Armour cannot be repaired with Sirenic Scales.
Tectonic Armour cannot be repaired with Tectonic Energy.
To repair Tectonic & Sirenic Armour, you must use another piece of Tectonic/Sirenic Armour on the degrading piece to repair it.
Augmenting Sirenic or Tectonic armour will allow you to repair it with GP.

For your neck-slots item you should have an Essence of Finality amulet.png Essence of Finality Amulet.

For your ring-slot item you should have a: Luck of the Dwarves.pngLuck of the Dwarves or a Hazelmere's signet ring.pngHazelmere's Signet Ring, and a Ring of death.pngRing of Death
(use the Ring of Death during a kill, swap to LOTD/HSR when the enemy is dying for Luck enhancement)

For your pocket-slot item you will want an: KaMjSj0.pngIlluminated God Book, a Lfw8wt2.pngBook of Death (obtained from Death's reward shop),

For the highest tier Invention Perks, you will want to unlock Ancient Invention.
A handbook for Ancient Invention perks can be found here, and an Ancient Invention Overview can be found here

Assuming you are already Maxed and own a Max cape.pngMax Cape, perhaps you should go for a jZWeldZ.pngCompletionist Cape?
CUYehUz.png

To view the requirements for the Completionist Cape, you can 'investigate' it in the Home Building (;;home).

Heck, you can even go for some 120s, maybe even 200ms.
Keep them gains going.

Thank you for checking out this guide/handbook.
This is probably the most thinking I've put into writing a guide before.

I know that there are MANY Ironmen that ask for some sort of a progression list when they first join.
I hope that this handbook can be used to provide at least some readable assistance on how to generalize progression.

Should any of the content in this thread be out-dated, or change, I will update it ASAP.

Very well done, Tyrone! This will definitely become useful for the Ironman we got playing on the server, and for the new players we are getting in the future!

Very good guide for irons but not only, in general for all non-experienced players!

I have a doubt about repairing the elite version of sirenic, how does it works?

I need to dye it or can repair the non-dyed aswell?

Because I’ve searched wiki and they use “Elite sirenic repair patches” and if not wrong they’re not yet implemented.

Thank you one more time<3
